Nice place to live. It’s older so sometimes my allergies get triggered from dust and mold and I have to go find the source and have maintenance come fix it. Wish the gym was open 24/7 but otherwise it’s great.

I have enjoyed living in the Kaimana housing area, the playground is close to my house so my grandaughter can go and play. And I haven’t had any issues with any of my neighbors. I can come home from work and park in front of my house! Yay!

Love the area! So convenient with the pool and gym in the community! Also comes with 2 parking stalls and. A ton of guest parking. Super close to everything in kapolei/ewa beach.

My daughter & I love living here at Kalaeloa, we love our apartment even my furry girls are happier. Very peaceful & quiet. If any noise it’s very little. The neighborhood is very quiet. The landscaping in Kalaeloa is very well maintained & clean. Love the pool area & exercise facility. We pray & hope to stay here along time.

I’ve lived here for 2 years and love it. The apartments are so spacious and the location is great. So much storage and assigned parking close to apartment home and covered from the sun. Staff and maintenance is also amazing.

Staff is friendly here and the housing is comfortable. The location is great and accessible to many locations, shopping mall, grocery, gas and freeway. It’s great having a community pool area. Service on maintenance is great as well.

Kalaeloa is a very nice, quiet, and clean place. Everyone is to them self which is weird for me cause I love saying Hello. And stuff but people are in their own area. But other than that everything is good

The community is quiet and kept clean. The homes are spacious with some upgrades, but you can tell that the homes are older. The amenities are nice, though I haven't used much besides the pool. The front office staff and maintenance staff have all been great and efficient. I do find quite a fair amount of pests due the pretty old insulation and thin single pane windows. The streets are over run with cars, which can be quite irritating to navigate when driving. Overall the community is great despite those things though, it's also super convenient to every thing.

My family and I been living in kalaeloa for about 15 years now, we do love it here and appreciate good staffing and the leasing office but sadly not sure be able to afford here anymore as yearly renewal goes up yearly kinda pushing out good tenants.

Nice homes and amenities, great maintenance staff. Maintenance usually comes pretty quickly, sometimes within a hour but can be up to 24hours on busy days. Pool is nice but expect it to close and need more maintenance during the summer months. Dog park and gym are nice too. Playground is in bad condition though and the parking situation is terrible. It’s very relaxing to live here, except if you have more than 2 cars or have guests over. Finding guest parking is a nightmare! Tow truck only tows certain cars and looks the other way for other residents. After hours calls (and sometimes even during regular business hours) all get forwarded to a mainland call center. They sometimes get addresses wrong.

I love it and my children absolutely love it it’s home and everything that’s there for us is very helpful. I only wish the parking stalls were a little bigger but other than that it’s a beautiful place and off course there will be noise because it’s a family property so I don’t mind at all

The community has nice amenities and the staff are pretty helpful. The neighbors are a little chaotic and argue a lot. Also, the potholes are always filled in temporarily but then they get ruined the following week. Additionally, our rent was increased by $500 so we will not be returning.

The inside of the apartment is ok, but I don’t like how the walls are painted. Plus they used bricks to build and it just makes the place not look so homey. There are roosters here that crow in the morning which is annoying Our neighbors are pretty loud. We are stuck between people who have 2 dogs that bark constantly I would choose to live somewhere else to be honest

I love it here! We have friendly neighbors, the home is what we wanted in a place. We enjoy the fact that we have a yard for our son to run around in, a park and pool near by. Everything is so close by, mall, stores, etc.

I don’t want my response shared because it’s not a good one. I really don’t have anything bad to say about the community but I feel the maintenance and the yard people that you have really needs help. Since we moved into this unit we’ve been having all kinds of problems. The response I get is the previous tenants never had any issues. Well I’m a new tenant what does it matter that the previous tenant didn’t have issues with the unit. Maybe they just dealt with it and didn’t wanna complain. If something is broke I want it fixed correctly the first time. If you can’t do it hire someone that specializes in that issue I don’t like to keep calling or submitting request for the same thing.

I like this neighborhood good and safe environment for my family. Playground,pool,park many things in this neighborhood that makes it fun. Also it’s a beatfiul neighborhood, close by the beach.

Overall satisfied with living conditions and community. There is only one complaint. Feral cats are out of control. At least 15 approach me when I leave for work expecting to be fed because other neighbors feed them. They are constantly on your vehicles leaving scratches on your nice paint job. Now I have to go get my vehicles to a body shop.

Really beautiful spacious homes with onsite pool, gym, office, maintenance etc. plenty of space for kids to run around within the community. It's really a great spot for families with kiddos. Middle and EL. Schools out here are amazing. I mean what more can you ask for?! It really is a great place to live on Oahu!

Overall, the homes and the services provided are great. For the majority, the neighbors are quiet and the surroundings are well-kept. Maintenance is excellent at returning calls and distributing work.

Makai is a very wonderful place live. The only thing different now from previous years is it’s not as quiet as it used to be. But, overall …it is an awesome place to live.

Overall a great place to live unless you have multiple cars….not enough parking and parking policy is not enforced for everyone.

I would comment for people to be careful on living here as they raise your rent and utilities are beyond your own control. Its ridiculous that you have to share the costs of the utilities.

We have been here for about 2 weeks now and it’s very peaceful and the neighbors are friendly. We absolutely love that the community comes with a pool, a gym, a playground for the children, along with maintenance being very fast on getting things fixed when we put a work order in. The employees at the office are really friendly and they have been very helpful when answering our calls to help us get our issues or concerns resolved. I would definitely recommend Makai to others! 10/10.
