Framed by Interstate Highway 1 and the stunning blue Pacific shores, Ewa is a booming suburb of Honolulu. I’m hearing that the hot tub is way too hot The walls are peeling and repairs aren’t being done properly. people are concerned about their utilities being too high, and the lawn and bushes are not being properly taken care of unless possible new tenants are able to see it right away.

This is one of the worst communities we have ever lived in. The maintenance team doesn’t call to schedule an appointment and just shows up, they also can’t seem to communicate with us. They will mark work orders completed when they really aren’t. The management team can’t seem to help the residents as to why they are being over charged. Work orders do not get done in a timely manner or not done at all. When we moved in we were denied a walk through of the house before signing a lease and they said the house was newly renovated and was not. There were so many things damaged and the entire house was filthy

I enjoy the sense of security and a sound mind knowing it’s a gated community. I love how peaceful it is here. I enjoy evening walks and jogging in the area.

Kapilina is a great community. We enjoy all the of the amenities it has to offer. It would be a plus if all residents in the community could use the store onsite. There should be better communication on events happening onsite as well.

Good neighborhood to walk around. The homes are the issue . Aged , crumbling ,mold, . If you can handle the living in the homes then you can enjoy some of the amenities. Only one park was updated. The rest are falling apart.

Since moving into this beautiful community of Kapilina, we have been blessed to call this place Home. My husband and I have had many trials and tribulations in life, yet somehow, living here in Kapilina bring us Peace & Joy. We have great neighbors, spacious living area, ample parking, beach access, gym access, our home is now a place where our family and friends can come to relax and share space with us. The location is fantastic. However, be prepared for prices to randomly increase for no reason (electric jumped about $250 over one month with no change to schedule. Spoke with management and they said they will look into it. Not sure what that means) be prepared for Section 8 style housing with little background checks. Most neighbors are fantastic, others who have had complaints don’t seem to change their behaviors.

We have been in this neighborhood for quite a while, but recently have noticed an uptick in theft and watching a drug induced man just randomly walking around the houses preying on others. While the amenities are still great, there has definitely been a negative change and I worry about the safety of my family and home.

I looked at these homes while I was on the mainland. We found another short term rental in Aiea. Then after looking for a suitable rental went back to Kapilina Beach Homes to visit and talk to a representative. The representative was very cheerful and helpful. We needed to apply for a rental which we did and had trouble with doing this online so our representative assisted us with the application and submitted it on our behalf. The reponse for our application was very slow took over a week to get a response from corporate. Now according to our representative there are new technical issues. I am very concerned we need to vacate our current rental and we have yet to recieve a lease agreement.

This is the nicest place I’ve ever lived in. The “VIEW” is beautiful. It is so peaceful and relaxing here. I wish I could live here “FOREVER” ! ! !

I have lived in Kapilina Beach Homes since December of 2017 with my Husband and daughter. We love the amenities, accessibility to the beach, elementary school and our neighbors are beautiful people. I call Kapilina "Plumeria Pleasantville" because of all our beautiful plumeria trees, cute houses, and kind neighbors. My absolute favorite is our own backyard surf break that can get very epic in the right conditions.

Kapilina Beach Homes is the same base housing I stayed at 1973. The flooring is upgraded but the rest is the same. Other than the beach and pool, the area was better in 1973. The streets were not clogged with extra cars per home. Most residents had two cars that could be accommodated with the carport and driveway. Enforcing one side only parking would greatly improve the living experience today.

We absolutely love it here!! There’s always something fun going on. We use the pool and the gym and I play pickleball a couple times a week. Love love the beach! We’ve made some awesome friends here and just so happy this is our home!

My family has lived at Kapilina Beach Homes for four years and wouldn't want to live anywhere else on Oahu. The community is beautiful and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and very helpful. The beach is never crowded and only steps from our home, and there are many other amenities available on the property.

Well since living here we’ve seen the overall quality of the upkeep of the grounds have gone downhill. The grass was green and now it’s brown, unappealing to the eye. I haven’t seen any managers actually driving around to take a look at the overall landscape, beans from the trees everywhere, trees overlapping the power lines. I’ve even reported the roots from the big tree in the yard is lifting up the foundation of our house and inside of the living room floor.

Home is the same type I stayed in 1973. They have new flooring and appliances but falls short not having ice maker in the freezer or a microwave above the stove. Those are items most people expect,

I grew up in trailer parks nicer than this place. I have no idea how this place has such high reviews. I moved here because it was the cheapest place near the water, but I cannot express how much I regret it. It’s a “gated” community but we felt very unsafe here. We had people looking in our windows while we were inside the house and people antagonizing our dogs all the time. Worst of all though, about once a month someone nearby would have a domestic dispute or something and there would be cops outside at 2am. The management company is AWFUL and will do anything they can to squeeze extra money out of you when possible.

Every thing is so convenient to get to and use. Beach is so close as well as having the free fitness center use. The units are super spacious and with a great floor plan.
