Framed by Interstate Highway 1 and the stunning blue Pacific shores, Ewa is a booming suburb of Honolulu. I have lived in Kapilina Beach Homes since December of 2017 with my Husband and daughter. We love the amenities, accessibility to the beach, elementary school and our neighbors are beautiful people. I call Kapilina "Plumeria Pleasantville" because of all our beautiful plumeria trees, cute houses, and kind neighbors. My absolute favorite is our own backyard surf break that can get very epic in the right conditions.

Kapilina Beach Homes is the same base housing I stayed at 1973. The flooring is upgraded but the rest is the same. Other than the beach and pool, the area was better in 1973. The streets were not clogged with extra cars per home. Most residents had two cars that could be accommodated with the carport and driveway. Enforcing one side only parking would greatly improve the living experience today.

We absolutely love it here!! There’s always something fun going on. We use the pool and the gym and I play pickleball a couple times a week. Love love the beach! We’ve made some awesome friends here and just so happy this is our home!

My family has lived at Kapilina Beach Homes for four years and wouldn't want to live anywhere else on Oahu. The community is beautiful and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and very helpful. The beach is never crowded and only steps from our home, and there are many other amenities available on the property.

Well since living here we’ve seen the overall quality of the upkeep of the grounds have gone downhill. The grass was green and now it’s brown, unappealing to the eye. I haven’t seen any managers actually driving around to take a look at the overall landscape, beans from the trees everywhere, trees overlapping the power lines. I’ve even reported the roots from the big tree in the yard is lifting up the foundation of our house and inside of the living room floor.

Home is the same type I stayed in 1973. They have new flooring and appliances but falls short not having ice maker in the freezer or a microwave above the stove. Those are items most people expect,

I grew up in trailer parks nicer than this place. I have no idea how this place has such high reviews. I moved here because it was the cheapest place near the water, but I cannot express how much I regret it. It’s a “gated” community but we felt very unsafe here. We had people looking in our windows while we were inside the house and people antagonizing our dogs all the time. Worst of all though, about once a month someone nearby would have a domestic dispute or something and there would be cops outside at 2am. The management company is AWFUL and will do anything they can to squeeze extra money out of you when possible.

Every thing is so convenient to get to and use. Beach is so close as well as having the free fitness center use. The units are super spacious and with a great floor plan.

My grass is never cut, I had to wait two months for them to complete a work order, utility rate is sky high and doubles every other month. Late fees with no understanding for being late, despite making payments.

While the homes are pretty old, the property management does a good job of keeping everything updated and responding to maintenance requests. Also the amenities, community activities, and close proximity to the beach is hard to beat!

We like it here for the most part. I mean you will not beat the amenities such as the pool, fitness center, dog park, D'lish, and the beach location. I just feel it's very overpriced for what we have. We have alot of issues with mold, the walls and base boards cracking. It's just very old housing that needs alot of updating.

Quick and easy beach access, and nice amenities are the main reasons for the stars. The flats are older and need better maintaining, but on that note they are more affordable than other areas.

We have only lived here about a month. So far only negative thing I have to say is maintenance isn’t very good. They don’t come when scheduled or even to call to cancel. We have a few things since move that need to be addressed and they haven’t.

What's not to like. We live at the beach on Oahu Hawaii. We have our own beach to enjoy daily. We have a nice pool area that we can use. We have access to a fitness center. The area is great for bicycling.

Kapilina Beach homes is a great place to live. With all the amenities, pool, Jacuzzi, kids pool and splash pad, play grounds throughout the neighborhood, pickle ball cart, tennis cart and basketball carts, beach and activities that Kapilina provides is excellent. The neighborhood is quiet, no sounds of fireworks all year round and kids actually outside playing and enjoying their youth. I wouldn't live anywhere else.

As I was looking at a couple 3 & 4 bedroom homes, I enjoyed the scenery, the beach, pool, parks, fitness center, dog park, kids jungle gyms, I was really amazed by all of these amenities in this community, loved it!!

As a single mom, I was a bit nervous about applying. The staff at Kapalina is very friendly and welcoming. I did not end up working with the same agent on every step but they have a great communication system between each other that each new agent I got made me feel very comfortable. I am pleased with the service I received and I want to thank every single person on the kapalina staff for making this possible for my little family.

This place has gotten worse over the years. I’ve been a resident since 2022 and it has gotten so bad. Crime increased, vandalism increased. Utilities increased. Absolutely terrible. Management is also terrible. Someone do something about these chickens. They’re digging up holes around my place.

Nice amenities, but they close early so you can’t really use them. Rising rent and utility costs. Slow response from maintenance about 50% of the time. On the good side, the parks are nice. Delish is the saving grace. I wish they would clean the beach, too much debris, if they would do that and keep the pool open past 8 pm it would be worth the rising prices I think.

If you are worried about finding a pet friendly place this is where you should be! The staff here are very friendly Knowledgeable and respectful!! Although they are busy they always get back to you in a timely matter weather it’s a call or an email! The community is gorgeous and very well taken care of! They have a Daycare on property which you have to pay for of course there is an elementary school six different jungle James for children each one a little different also caters to babies. You have a pool for adults and for babies!

Good community. Very convenient distance from home to schools and stores. The only issue we have is other residents that have dogs are not very responsible for keeping them tied up. My neighbors dog jumped on my grandson a couple weeks ago and he got scratches on his arm and legs. Same neighbors dog bit my son on the back of his leg. I would appreciate it if you can put out a notice to all the residents about this.

The maintenance scheduling is streamlined and they give you times and dates available that work with your schedule. They gave me a courtesy call when they are nearby as well. Outstanding!!

so i love it! the Neighborhood is beautiful and mostly peaceful and the amenities are awesome seems like a great place to raise my kids!! really great how the school is so close too

I love the amenities, and all the neighbors around are friendly. Moved in just recently (1st of September) lots of street parking, the beach is walking distance. My roommates and I are gonna enjoy our time here. I really appreciate it ????

Kapilina Beach Homes is a wonderful place to live. The property is beautiful, and well maintained. The management and maintenance staff are friendly and helpful. The community is safe for families. We've lived here almost four years and love it!

We've always thought Kapilina was a great place to live. The amenities offered to the residents are always appreciated and the neighbors are friendly and pleasant. The only criticism I have is that we've noticed that some of the security at the gate will let people in without taking their info and they not have Kapilina decals. But, all in all, Kapilina is a great place to live.
