The Southeast neighborhood of Lansing sits west of I-496 and east of South Waverly Road, split by I-96. This area of town consists mainly of commercial buildings and industrial parks that provide residents with ample employment opportunities. Residents enjoy affordable housing and close proximity to large parks and shopping centers on South Cedar Street.
The neighborhood also rests just to the west of Michigan State University, making it perfect for students as well as families. This large, state university provides residents with opportunities to attend concerts, plays, lecture series, and college sports. Southeast Lansing has become a Michigan fixture in its own right, but the small-town charm of Lansing is always just minutes away.

Property Ratings at Kaynorth & Stone Ridge Meadows Apartments
My brother an I were trying to move into an apartment that excepts my dogs breed and where we can move in with three people, yet they called my brother saying"only two people to a unit" and this wasn't documented anywhere!!! they waisted our time and our money!!!! Highly don't recommend looking into staying here
Let’s start with the pests. I had a big wasps nest underneath my balcony. I lived in the third floor. The maintenance just gave me a can of bug spray and said enjoy! Thanks for your help when I have family members literally allergic to bees. I’m not risking my family to get hurt due to their lack of assistance. Second, A RACCOON BROKE THROUGH THE CEILING ABOVE MY BALCONY AND WAS TRAPPED ON THERE FOR A WEEK!!! This isn’t the only raccoon either. There’s more. I called maintenance again. Still no response, I had to heard through the grapevine of other residence having this incident that the most they’ll do is shoot it. SHOOT IT?! It’ll illegal to shoot an animal in the city. This is just the tip of the iceberg. I lived in he Nan Tay building for two years, luckily two weeks prior to me moving out, someone in my building had bed bugs. They even had the Orkid truck outside! Not ONCE did any resident receive a notice of extermination. I was too scared to even bring my bed, bedding and spare bedroom set I had in my apartment. Disgusting! Another reason why I wouldn’t recommend this location is it’s a safety hazard. This area isn’t a good area to have children around. One night after class, i work full time and go to school full time, I heard a woman in my building screaming for help. I run downstairs to the front door where this woman was laying beat up from her ex boyfriend who she subleased the apartment from. The police came and everything. What’s crazy is during this time, the management was trying to evict me due to a noise complaint, that I never had because I was gone 95% of the time. Not even concerned with other tenants safety, just wanted to make a point that they didn't like me. Also they were trying to evict me because they ‘assumed’ my friend lived with me and she wasn’t on the lease. If I could include images of this review, I would. Wendi, Breanna, Emily and anyone else who’s under Mulder Management is. For the record, I lived by myself. They discontinued the process of the eviction and the reason why they discontinued the process was ridiculous. The one thing that’s humorous about Wendi's response back is that she said I was requesting the names and apartment of the person making the complaint. False. I asked to see the copy of the complaint itself.
I set up an appointment on Saturday 10/15/16 at 1100am and they never showed up for the appointment. I tried calling the property that morning as well to see if I could reach someone to come out for the viewing. I only was able to reach an answering machine. Very disappointed. If this is their behavior towards a potential new tenant it shows a possible behavior for the future. Have absolutely lost my business. First impressions say more than they apparently realize.
I would not live there ever again no one listens to you in the office went you tell them something
I currently reside in Kaynorth Apartments. I chose this location because of living her from my younger years, and also a special they were running with the second month free. It's not a "child oriented" area. But, there are 2 pools and they have club houses that are free to use for tenants. The apartments are a great size, and you also can choose from 2 additional locations to stay from. I would say that the appliances are outdated and probably would be nice to update. Especially since technology has advanced! I don't like that a lot of people smoke in the halls, and people are outside on the steps smoking and drinking. I hate that the doors for entry into the buildings never seem to be locked, and if they are you have to struggle to unlock the door because the door lock is ragged. Also, the first week when I moved in I had to wait 2/3 weeks to get my mailbox key because the one I had didn't work and they made me keep driving back and forth to be sure it worked. I mean it is a nice space and I like that it's quiet. I would recommend for the price you pay.
