Property Ratings at Kennedy Lofts
I lived in a studio in Kennedy Lofts for 4 years and loved it! The live-in super kept the building clean and running smoothly. The modern features and rooftop view were what kept me here. With a basement lounge, gym, and laundry room, I had everything I wanted close by.
this is one of the best building in jersey city It has a terrace with a spectacular view of New York our guests love to visit us because of how impeccable the building looks, the location is excellent, gym is perfect ??
Stayed in the building for 3 long years. The only merit is 5mint walk to path & better indian restaurants. The building is not sound-proof, you cannot sleep if your neighbors are awake. Management doesn't listen or take action to any feedback/issues. Half of the washing machine in common laundry doesn't work, sometimes the machines over-charge your card. Even immediate plumbing issues were sorted out in 2 weeks time. HIGHLYY HIGHLY DISCOURAGE taking up this place for rent.
The management is ineffective and totally useless. The gym is poorly equipped. Machines dont work. Laundry machine are also often out of order. Mangement do not enforce lease terms properly. People make lot of noises till late in the night and even after repeated complains, management does nothing.
I've really enjoyed my experience at Kennedy Lofts - the apartments are excellent (big windows, nice appliances, etc.), any maintenance is taken care of promptly, and the amenities (rooftop view, gym, game room, etc.) are nice perks. Plus, can't beat the location - easy access to the Journal Square station and plenty of places to shop/eat nearby.
Great apartment, awesome management and supervisor. Unfortunately, I could stay in Kennedy lofts only for a year as I had to move to a different state because of job relocation. Very clean and spacious apartments with large windows allowing ample of sunlight get into the rooms. New, modern and stainless steel kitchen appliances enhances the beauty of the apartment. The building has a gym, game area and laundry room in the basement which was always kept clean and well maintained by the Super. It also has a rooftop with lounging chairs and awesome view to New york city. The Super was always available for any questions or in case of any issues. And more over, this place is at a 5-minute walk able from Journal Square path station.
For anyone that values sleep do not move into this building! Landlord did not warn us that there would be active construction of a 14 story building literally right outside our window. The construction is loud and disruptive. Construction workers are always all over the property blocking the entrance and taking cigarette breaks on our stoop. Trucks are always blocking the street and there is the constant din of heavy machinery and trucks backing down the street. Construction often begins during the wee hours of the morning and continues into the afternoon and sometimes evening. My baby has not been able to sleep during the day due to this construction noise and it’s been very difficult on our family!
Property Manager at Kennedy Lofts, Responded To This Review
We are sorry to see this review and have nothing to do with the construction of the nearby building! As all our tenants know, we work very hard to make sure that Kennedy Lofts, as with all our properties, is well run and a wonderful place to live. We do ensure that there is no loitering at or near our property entrance, whether by construction workers or anyone else. Kennedy Lofts represents an outstanding value proposition at Journal Square and we rarely have vacancy! We have an excellent tenancy and excellent staff, and we are sorry that construction of a nearby building was upsetting to one of our tenants. There's not much we can do about that but we are always striving to ensure that our tenants are satisfied with the value and experience that Kennedy Lofts provides. Hopkins Group Management
We were one of the very first tenants to live at Kennedy Lofts and stayed for more than 3 years. New and modern kitchen appliances, spacious apartments and high ceilings. We could not ask for more. Not to mention the location. Being close to the path was a life saver for me since I work in the City. It was only a 3 minute walk to the Journal Square Path station. The management is great as well. Very responsive, and the Super cannot be more helpful. The building halls, laundry room, and gym were kept clean and Super was always available to answer questions and deal with any little issues we had. A great plus of having the rooftop: view of the city, nice lounging chairs for getting a suntan in the summer. Great memories -- you will love the convenience living here!
The apartments are nice at Kennedy Lofts - clean, well-designed, and spacious enough. There's a laundry room, gym, storage lockers, and game room. There's a rooftop that's perfect for spring/summer with a great view. Every apartment has a video intercom system and there are cameras in the entire building. The supers have been very friendly and helpful; they are efficient with their work and made sure everything in the building was clean. There is a website that allows you to easily pay rent and even place requests for maintenance or other issues! Management did their best to resolve any of these issues that came up. The building itself is just a block away from PATH so it was very convenient to get to work and travel to NYC and other local hot spots, like Grove, Newport and Hoboken. Recommended if there's availability!
Eddie the Super is friendly and the keeps the building very clean. Always comes thru for you! He is very attentive and keeps the tenants happy! The management is also very helpful and also shows a sense of urgency. Love my brand new apartment, great views, and an awesome roof top! Can't go wrong!
I have lived in this apartment for a year now and had a good time so far. There are a lot amenities that you won't find in other nearby apartments; gym, w/d, lounge w/ games, rooftop, etc. The 5 min walk to the path, especially in winter, is a Godsend. As far as the super goes, I live on the same floor as the super and always had pleasant interactions with him. He cleans and maintains the building daily, and is quick to respond on inquiries, especially when dealing with upper management. I definitely plan on staying here for a while. Would Recommend.
