Northwest Greensboro sits just 10 miles outside the downtown area, but it provides a vastly different view of the city than the streets and suburbs around the city center. With access to Lake Higgins and Lake Brandt, Northwest Greensboro is a scenic setting that’s perfect for anyone who wants to be near urban conveniences, but enjoys the thrill of outdoor adventures and afternoons on the water.
The area of Northwest Greensboro is made up of a number of fantastic, unique neighborhoods and engaging apartment communities. The area’s vibrant outdoor atmosphere is broken up in spots by conveniently located shopping centers, big-box stores, and a few restaurants along the main thoroughfares. Bur-Mil Park provides 250 acres of pristine land set between the lakes to the north, and there are plenty of bike trails along the shores as well. Commuting to the city takes just a few minutes thanks to the interstates that serve the area.

Property Ratings at Kensington Place
Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. Any maintenance requests are taken care of the next day and done properly the first time. A very refreshing apartment experience going into my second year here.
We’ve been here for a year and a half and have no complaints. It’s quiet, peaceful, and relatively well maintained.
I moved in at the beginning of the year and love it so far. Jordan in the office is very easy to work with and very responsive if anything needs to be done. The maintenance man is really good too, I have only had 2 maintenance requests so far but both were taken care of right away.
I lived here for 4 years and now moving out since I bought a house. Pretty nice place for the price, maintenance was always taken care of pretty quickly. Just wish they would get some equipment for tenants to use on the tennis court so I don’t have to buy it myself. Would live here again if I had to rent again.
Do not, I repeat! DO NOT move here!!! This is the WORST apartment complex I've ever lived in. The front office staff is rude, the apartments are old, wood inside the apartment is deteriorating, mold issues, roaches, there's a hole in my bathroom ceiling that leaks when it rains. I've reported the issue 7 months ago and no one has yet to come out to fix it! They have a contract with a towing company that'll come take your car whenever they feel like it... I can go on for days about how TRASH this apartment complex is. Save your money and look elsewhere!
DO NOT rent from these people; my understanding is that the owners simply want to unload the property as quickly as possible and do not care about the tenants. After five years of living there, diligently paying rent, and leaving my place spotless, I moved out in September and I'm still waiting to get my security deposit back after four months. The endless stream of excuses I get (A check was sent, but was returned--Despite having a correct address? How does that happen?--We're waiting for the corporate office to issue a new check. We've emailed the corporate office and we're waiting for a response) all suggest the owner's intent is to keep my money. I suppose small claims court is my only option. The corporate office cannot be reached, the staff at the rental office seems to turn over frequently and is apparently powerless to intervene.
Beware it’s not what’s it seems very dirty the pool and the walk ways Covered with dirty and spider webs. They pressured wash for the first time in like a year the other day and it was like they just blew the dirty around. Though it did blow the spiders webs down. They should’ve had pest control come cause the webs are already building up again It’s just was a horrible experience since the manager heather left she really cared and kept the property well I suggested they train their staff more and hire some more that actually care for the complex and the community that lives there.
We moved here awhile back and it was okay for what you were paying for. They recently replaced the office and maintenance staff. The new staff is the laziest I've ever seen. If your A/C breaks they will put 1 small window unit in and never fix the actual problem. If you have a water leak they simply tell you not to use it until they get around to fixing it and then never fix it. Their are several units right now without A/C or running water. The trash is piling up and attracting animals from the near by woods. The pool and pool area are filthy and almost unusable. While they let everything fall apart they are in the process of hiking up rent over $100 a month higher then the previous year. DO NOT MOVE HERE
Amazing choice for 1st apartment & spacious. I would recommend to anyone. I appreciate the management and the maintenance staff.
Property Manager at Kensington Place, Responded To This Review
Thank you so much for your feedback and recommendation and we are so happy that you chose Kensington Place for your first apartment home! Your positive feedback is much appreciated by our onsite team. Thank you again.
My husband and I have been living here for 1.5 years. It was OK for a while. We knew we were getting a cheaper rent because of the annoying highway construction and we were prepared to get what we paid for. We are now looking at other places to move to when our lease is up because there are so many terrible neighbors moving in. In the past few months the noise has gotten out of hand - very loud music playing at all hours of the day and night, fights in the parking lot, etc. The apartments themselves are good enough except for the age and condition of the appliances and plumbing. The laundry and exercise room "amenities" are pretty pitiful as well. Overall it's an OK budget option if you don't plan on spending much time at home. If you work/study at home like I do or want a place where you can feel comfortable for many years, Kensington Place is definitely not good enough.
My boyfriend and I have been living here at Kensington Place for a little over a year, and we ABSOLUTELY love it here! We have our community pool, tennis court, the walking trail and so much more! The people and staff are so friendly here. They are very informative and helpful! Our apartment is very big and spacious, exactly what we were looking for! We are very proud of our complex we live in and are very pleased to say we've signed our lease for another year!
