Property Ratings at Kently Pointe Apartments
Been living at Kentley Pointe apartments for about a year. In a 2bedroom 2bathroom. 1bedroom is a master suite with a on suite bath, second room is real small about 9 by 10 sq feet. Really can only have the bare minimum without it feeling overcrowded. At first the apartment seemed nice and decent. But as time progressed things started to show up. The parking is terrible! Only okay If you a have covered spot, which is assigned and they now charge $50 a spot all the other spots are free for all and once everyone gets home from work (6pm) all spots are filled that are near the complexes. So your only option is to park in the overflow parking area which is far from the majority of the apartments except for two apartments. An let me say this area is dark and good place for your car to be broken into which happened to myself. (Hence no cameras and out of sight for anyone to hear or see) Tenants throw their furniture into the trash bins where the garbage is always over full. The complexes have poor installation. You can hear your neighbors walking up above, kids screaming next door, cars driving through blasting their music or the people chatting outside. The area its self is not near anything! No bus routes, no shops, no schools. Really just on a busy road that is a easy commute to get onto highway 167 or highway I5 (Only plus about this place). But a car is a must if you want to live here. Also the people who live here not all that friendly. You look at them, they look down. You say hi and they say nothing in return. Good luck!
Property Manager at Kently Pointe Apartments, Responded To This Review
We are deeply discouraged by this characterization of our community as it is not indicative of the comfortable home life nor level of service we strive to provide. Everyone experiences apartment living differently and we are sorry that our community was not a better fit for you personally.
The location is one of the best in the Puget Sound area. Snuggled between I -5 and WA 167, one always has a choice which route to take depending on traffic patterns. The young and talented management team is a breath of fresh air.The maintenance team is always on time.I would not hesitate to recommend this place to any one who is looking for a "home". Keep up the good work!!!!
I have enjoyed living at Kently Pointe for the last three years it is a great place for singles and families alike. It is Pet friendly and offers a verity of spacious 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments at a reasonable price. Kently Pointe offers great amenities. It is conveniently located between Downtown Seattle and Tacoma and between I-5 and WA-167, and surrounded by beautiful landscape. The staff are friendly, helpful, and willing to accommodate your needs.
I like my neighborhood and my apartment complex. The management is right if there is a problem they always come out to fix it. Rent goes up all the time and being a single mom it's hard.
I've lived here for 4yrs and I'm about to renew. It's mostly quiet, I can count on one hand all the issues I've seen or had in those 4yrs. Maintenance is quick to respond. Location is good, right where 3 cities converge so close to Kent; Auburn and Federal Way. Only negative I can think of is the kitchen, outdated and small.
This apartment complex is conveniently located a short driving distance from the 2 major highways in the area in a surburban neighborhood. The grounds are well-maintained, there is a small pool, basketball court, gym room, and tanning room. The apartments are decently sized, ranging from 1 bedroom to 3 bedrooms. You are allowed 2 pets, but no large breed dogs. The complex feels mostly safe, except I've heard there's been a couple cars broken into in the far back of the parking lot. Parking is decent, but the best spots fill quickly in the evening. There is paid covered parking. The maitenance guys are pretty good and fix or replace things quickly. Things I wish could be improved are the cupboards and countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms (they're pretty cheap and outdated), and the closet doors seem fairly cheap and the sliding closet doors get popped off the rails fairly easily. Also, if you're very sensitive to noise you might not want to live on a lower floor with upstairs neighbors.
The apartment building is located off a relatively busy road. If you turn left, it leads you to route 167. If you turn right, it leads you to I-5. Both bring you right into Seattle. There are 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments. They are 3 story buildings. Rumor has it that some of the buildings have vaulted ceilings on the third floor. Even though the windows are big, it seems pretty dark at times. We recently tried new GE light bulbs that have a 5000 color temperature instead of 2700/3000 (yellow). But it looks a little blue. So I wish we had skylights with UV protected glass (if such a thing exists). You are sort of within walking distance of an elementary school and a middle school. But you would have to be comfortable with walking on that main road. Still its a pretty short car ride too. A recent discovery for us is two bike paths that are pretty close to our complex. I am looking forward to trying to ride my bike all the way into Seattle, where I work, someday when I get it working again. The apartment itself is pretty average in my experience. But the bedrooms are bigger than the bedrooms I saw in a small house the other day. Having two bathrooms is nice though.
Aside from the screams from the pool, not so concierge garbage service, and unavailable parking unless you pay for it, the apartments are very nice and the location is beautiful! Large windows that let in light and look out to green trees are my favorite. The layout it spacious. Overall, it's a good place, just could use a bit more kindness and equality.
