Historic rowhouses, cobblestoned hills, and plenty of greenspace fill the streets of Georgetown. DC’s oldest neighborhood, Georgetown blends historic charm with a youthful energy emanating from Georgetown University.
Georgetown contains endless amounts of activities, from shopping to exploring the outdoors and everything in between. Should you choose to rent in Georgetown, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the lush gardens at Dumbarton Oaks and Tudor Place, peruse the shops on M Street, listen to live jazz at Blues Alley, see where John F. Kennedy proposed to Jackie, kayak the Potomac River, pose near the steps from The Exorcist, savor a meal at one of the restaurants on the Washington Harbor, stroll along the Georgetown Waterfront, and indulge your sweet tooth at any of the many cupcakeries in town.
Just two miles from Downtown Washington, DC, Georgetown is a mere 15-minute walk from the Foggy Bottom Metro stop.

Property Ratings at Kew Gardens
Disorganized management will enter your apartment constantly. Smells like cigarettes in hallways and cigarette smoking in gardens enters apartments through your windows and AC unit. Shared laundry room is filthy and stocked with old and rarely-maintenanced machines. Many apartments suffer from reoccurring mice/rodent problems. And its over-priced.
Property Manager at Kew Gardens, Responded To This Review
Dear Anonymous, We are disappointed to learn of your experience here at Kew Gardens, but we will take this opportunity to improve. As you may know, we recently renovated our laundry facilities in 2014/15 and installed brand new washer & dryers last year (2017). We take your feedback and concerns ver y seriously and ask that you please contact the Property Manager (Marina) at your earliest convenience to address all of your concerns. Thank you, BMC Customer Service
Kew Gardens was originally built in the 1920's. It has the charms of an old building: Brick construction, actual hardwood floors, and architecture with character. Of course, that means it has all of the flaws of an old building, such as creaky floors that aren't level, and poor sound insulation. The building is also not equipped to handle the degree of mail that comes in these days thanks to online retail: boxes are left unsecured and unattended in the common areas. The management team is friendly and responsive to complaints, but in order for this building to be a really attractive place to stay they are going to have to do more to modernize the building than put a fitness studio in the bottom floor. Some serious renovations are needed.
