Dundalk holds a proud spot in Maryland’s history as one of the oldest inner-ring suburbs surrounding the city of Baltimore. This waterfront neighborhood provides residents with stunning views of the Chesapeake Bay and a small tight-knit community that makes Dundalk a popular destination for couples, families, and retirees. Families also have access to great schools, which heightens allure. This town features luxury mid-rise apartments and beautiful homes, some with picturesque waterfront views.
Of course, water sports are extremely popular in the area, but the community embraces other outdoor activities as well. Stansbury Park is a local favorite because of its batting cages, driving range, and mini-golf course. Bustling Boston Street and Interstate 95 connect Dundalk to the heart of Baltimore and keep this small suburb connected to the excitement of the city.

Property Ratings at Key Landing
Was once gated, why not? seem to not care what property looks like anymore. Landscaping is shameful. Sidewalks are not elderly safe.

Thank you for reaching out about your experience. We encourage you to speak with our team further about these matters, please contact residentrelations@smcmail.com.
I've known people who lived in these apartments within the last 20 years and my experience has always been great and it came highly recommended. Moving in about a year ago was great. It was a quiet community, tucked away from the main business areas of Dundalk, yet close to everything you'd need. Something changed a couple months ago and things have gone downhill. Our "dog friendly" complex no longer regularly refills the waste bags, so now there is dog mess all over (we supply our own bags, many do not). This spring, without so much as a warning, the complex had pesticides sprayed on the grass, but was unable/unwilling to tell us what was in it or if it was pet-safe, but "just keep your dogs off the grass for 24-48 hours"....where would they like our animals to use the restroom? The "gated" part of the property description is a joke, the guard house is rarely staffed, the gates just raise automatically for everyone. Years ago, all visitors had to stop at the guard house, hand over a copy of their ID, and let the guard know the address of the person they were visiting. The latest "deterrent" is an unoccupied security company car that sits on the property. Rarely is anyone patrolling even though crime has increased in the area, including a shooting a couple blocks away on the E street. It is often uncomfortable taking a walk around the property because several residents will follow you asking for money. There are cigarette butts everywhere! And not enough receptacles placed around. Recently there was a strong smell of gas in the building, emergency maintenance was contacted at least TWICE by residents, and still didn't return the call until the next day. Good luck reaching anyone on a weekend, the leasing office is closed. The latest news, they are no longer including utilities in the price of rent and ALSO raising the rent. Having one bill to pay each month was a huge plus to this community, however the rent increase and separate utilities are causing many to move out. It's not worth the price. There are many other nice apartments in the area, with more amenities, for much less. They are making you pay for an unsecured fence and for "waterfront", which is a very small piece of the property and is mostly obstructed view and swamp-like. Seriously, search elsewhere.

I have been at Key Landing for over 3 years. I love living here because I have not experienced loud neighbors. noise from the outside. The maintenance guys come when I need them. The office people are friendly and professional. Maxine always keeps the events fun so the community can come out to participate. The grounds and landscape are always kept up. I also love the fact that the BGE and water are included in the cost of the rent. I like the fact that I can get my packages 24 hours because someone is on duty 24 hours.I would definitley recommend Key Landing to anyone who is looking for a nice size apt in a quiet community.

Thank you, Pam, for sharing your experience with Key Landing Apartment Homes. We are so happy to hear you are enjoying living in our community. Thank you for your wonderful review and for making Key Landing your home!
I had a great experience living at Key Landings. The atmosphere is beautiful and management provides the best service. In particular, Maxine had been a pleasure to be around, with all the hard work she puts in planning various events for the community. Shannon had been exceptional in working with my family. Maintenance is timely and efficient. I had always been able to address my concerns to have them heard and resolved. I appreciate all that I had received from Key Landings.

We take pride in our team members providing exceptional service to all residents, and we are happy you are pleased with the leasing staff and maintenance. We strive to ensure that residents have an enjoyable experience in our communities. Thank you for this review!
The people working in resident service's are rude, and very condescending. They treat the residents like they are the enemy. Bikes are stolen on a daily basis, and they do absolutely nothing about it. The gate that surround Key Landing is a joke. At any time, kids from other neighborhoods climb the gate with the intention to steal resident's property. The management never does anything about it. The property has become riddled with bed bugs and Key Landing sent notice out to everyone on having them. Hopefully, they don't end up in your house, or Key Landing will xh,are you a whopping $500, when it is their fault they were there to begin with.
I moved here in October, and this place is beyond horrible! From fights involving baseball bats and knives (never mind the random blood on the door to the building and the hood of my car!) to burglaries, drug deals, loritering, loud/rude neighbors, constant smell of maraujuana, and the "security" here is a joke! The "gate house" is often not attended, or they will just sit in the gate house with the gate wide open. Multiple attempts have been made to talk to the management, but at the end of the day, they could really care less, because none of them live here! Regarding the fight, the security guard gave a false statement to the police, and he still has a job! This place could careless about the honest, hardworking residents and open their arms to the section 8 crowd, because it's guaranteed money, I get that, but why bother doing background checks, and having a lease if the property management isn't going to enorce it?
This is a great community that is gated in. The staff is friendly and always remember you by name. Maintenance is wonderful and the grounds are beautiful. You are surrounded my a pier and picnic area. Playground for children and a nice pool on those hot days. Close to many, many restaurants.
Very clean, friendly people, quiet, family oriented. My granddaughter and I feel very safe and secure. This is a gated community.
I really enjoyed living here for 3 years. This is my third time living in this community. The staff is always professional and courteous. I love Juanda the leasing manager and is the best person to work for Southern Management. Charles the maintenance supervisor is also a gem!!!! I will dearly miss everyone. This community is quiet, by the water, cookout by the water while the kids go swimming and a very comfortable fit for any family b
