I’m extremely frustrated with the poor maintenance services here. I submitted a maintenance request over a month ago, and despite follow-up calls and emails, nothing has been done to address the issue. The complete lack of responsiveness and communication is unacceptable. It’s clear that resident concerns are not a priority. Given this ongoing neglect, I would not recommend anyone to live here. The inconvenience and lack of accountability are not worth it, and I expected far better service ESPECIALLY with the amount in rent I’m paying.

Living here about 2.5 years now have been one of the most stressful times of my life since moving here; especially when dealing with maintenance, the leasing office staff, and of course corporate. Everyone loves to give you the run around and claim they will handle the concern at hand, but of course lies at the end. For the last couple of years I have been back and forth with hurdles of not having work orders done or done properly at all. My apartment unit have been out of air for months and work orders have been placed, but do you think I was compensated or either addressed. What sucks the most is that I found out that I was not the only one dealing with this issue. Every time I called the leasing office, it is always the same thing, we will send over maintenance, maintenance never shows of course. I have put in work orders for pest control for spiders, water bugs,etc; but do you think they send out a person to handle the issues, Absolutely not!! At this point I am done with Killian Lakes Apartment and Townhomes; because apparently the people here are only here for a check and not the wellbeing of other human beings. I am a public servant(Police Officer) that also qualifies for the discount special that they offer for those who serve in public service or military; I have been without the discount for the years since I lived here. I have asked the property manager on multiple attempts to addressed the matter, and it is always " I will get back with you, or she is out of the office at the moment". I mean inflation is up everyone is hurting and they are spiking the prices monthly. I feel like living here is honestly the Survival of the Fittest". At this point what is the point of living here or even asking me to refer other people if you are not going to stand on the promise you give. Nothing but Lies and False Hope since I lived here!!!!

These use to be nice apartments but they let anyone move in. The noise level is horrible and yes I’ve said something. The rent goes up high every year and I was told it would go up $15-$20 that’s not the case. Then maintenance is horrible I’ve called several times about a beeping noise going off in the maintenance closet that it’s loud in my daughter room and I can hear it in my apartment. It’s been going off for weeks and still haven’t been fixed. You try to be nice when you call and manager likes to write under comments about talk to them or they didn’t know well they do know. So when you read everyone complaints they know they just don’t handle it. I won’t be here long at all. Don’t move here

The property manager refused to give me my mail after only moving out a day ago ! I’ve been trying to get my mail for 3 days now, no one moved into the unit that fast it wasn’t actually ready for move in until 2 weeks after we move out . I had to bring a police officer and that advice was given from the post office to have a police come help me get my mail . If there was a law that states that then the police would not have came to help me get my mail out the mail box . The property manager still refused and of course the police can’t make her because the property owns the mail boxes so they can allow access if they really wanted to she just wanted to be difficult. So at this point I’m upset and she decided to trespass me because she couldn’t give me a rule or law that states I can’t get mail with my name on it ! And then still gave me the wrong post office to contact to get my mail . She is the worst property manager and knows absolutely nothing about rules and guidelines. Be aware if you have a greater issue that needs the property manager you will not get anywhere.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I have had an ongoing issue for months with no resolve. I have reached out numerous times, through calls and emails, to the property manager, but have only heard from her TWICE. My concerns are not being heard NOR addressed. Stay somewhere else!!

Thin walls, useless and unprofessional leasing staff, rude upper management, unresponsive corporate office the list goes on. The only positive quality about this property is the spacious floorplans. Other than that, please do not waste your time here. Your apartment or car might get broken into. A few people have been shot (sometimes killed) there. Which I understand crime can happen anywhere, but it happens wayyy tooo often there. Amenities are ok. Gym and clubhouse are an eyesore very outdated. The pool is the their best amenity space. After you move out they will try to hold your security deposit so be aware of that, too.

WE moved out of our tonwhome recently and we really miss it. The neighbors are so friendly. The office staff is super helpful. Maintenance is very prompt. The grounds are always clean. The resident events are so much fun. We loved our basement and garage. If anything changes we will definitely move back.

My daughter actually lives here. We have interacted with the staff on many occasions. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful and they get to know you like family. Maintenance is always timely. The grounds is very clean. They do all sorts of different types of resident events and activities. The location is great. Very close to shopping, entertainment and groceries. The area is very quiet and they have a great dog park which her dog loves.

STAY AWAY IF YOU HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN. THEY WILL CAUSE YOU TO GET LEASE VIOLATIONS BECAUSE THEY ARE PLAYING IN THE APARTMENT AND THE RESIDENTS BELOW DONT LIKE IT. YOU ARE VIOLATIONING THE EXCESSIVE NOISE PORTION IF THE RENT AGREEMENT EVEN THOUGH IT’S A FEW FOOTSTEPS HERE AND THERE. YOU DONT HAVE ANY RIGHTS. THEY WILL ALSO LIE ON THE LEASE VIOLATION TO MAKE IT SEEM LATER THAN IT ACTUALLY WAS.
My main issue was trying to get the internet set up. The number they provide for you to call customer service. Would not help you out at all if they do not have a request from the main office first. I called the office severral times and they would not pick up. Left voice mails and never received a call back. They would not allow you to bring your prefered company for internet service or cable. Poor customer service, poor packages available and high too high on price.

I moved to Killian Lakes 4 months ago and from start to finish it was a bad experience. I was told I would be moving in at a certain date and when that month came around I was informed that the move in date would be pushed back 4 extra months. Moving in was good, but when it's an issue no one ever answers there phone and it seems like no one in the office knows what there talking about. I've even called right in the office and the two ladies didn't even answer the phone. I have had Maintance come to my apartment in the daytime about my tv being loud and they also came at midnight while i'm sleeping. I also requested that no one comes into my apartment while i'm not home and sure enough someone from Maintance knocked at my door, my boyfriend and I get up to get the door and we heard him opening the door. I did not appreciate that at all because I told the leasing manager when I was signing papers that I did not want that option for them to come in while i'm not home, and she said okay. The walls are so thin so you can hear EVERYTHING. I've called emergency Maintance and I've gotten no response from them. I love the property but the staff and Maintance always seems like they have an attitude, and no one is professional at all. Nice place to live for the price but make sure you have tough skin and are prepared to stand up for yourself because the staff likes to talk to you like you're stupid.

Good Afternoon, I moved into Killian Lakes back in February-2017. So far my experience has been great. The complex is very quite, just like I like it. I remember when they first built these apartments and I knew if I ever had the opportunity I would apply for an apartment so here I am. I really enjoy having the washer/dryer included in my apartment as well as the water utility. I love the marble tops in the kitchen, bathroom, and media station. I feel safe in this complex; never had any problems. The only thing that is annoying is my upstairs neighbors but that's to be expected when living below someone. Other than that I have no issues with living at Killian Lakes Apartments.
I stayed here for one year. The value for the space is great. I looked at a number of apartments in the area and the price paid for the amount of space is unbeatable in my opinion. The floor plan is open which is a great feature being in a 1 bed/1 bath apartment, it appears larger than nearby competition. The bathroom is on the smaller side but the rest of the apartment is a good size for value. It is conveniently located being next to the interstate, near grocery stores and restaurants and a short ride to Sandhills. It is centrally located – which is so important to me. Maintenance responds quickly, the grounds are well kept and the pool is maintained year round. Despite these perks, I am moving for a few reasons. These may be just my experience but I found it unacceptable and wanted to share. For one, maintenance staff would bother me at the pool. My guests and I were not being rambunctious or causing issues and we would be asked what apartment we stay in every single time we went. He did explain that the pool is easily accessed since there is no lock on the gate and you do not need a key to enter, however that is not my issue. I go to the pool to relax not to be badgered about what apartment I stay in every time I go to the pool, especially when I am a lease holder. If unwelcomed guests are an issue, get a better lock. Not to mention, I felt singled out the last time I went to the pool because there was a couple who were a different race and they were not questioned about their apartment number or where they stayed. He approached my guests and I. I was livid and that was the last time I went to the pool. The last straw was when my co-applicant was denied and I was told that I would have my apartment randomly searched to verify that I did not move the applicant in. I felt that was a blatant disregard for my privacy. I am a single female who works nightshift. I would not want to be barged in on while sleeping nor would I want my apartment that I pay for searched without my permission. I did not read the lease nor check to see if this was legal, it very well could be but I took it as a sign it was time for me to go. These may not be issues for future applicants or other guests, particularly if you do not go to the pool or have applicants who may be denied but they were bothersome to me. If these were not problems I had, I would have stayed for another year. Happy apartment hunt and I hope this proved useful to someone.

I was waiting for my orders to be approved to go on a deployment and when they were finally approved I had 2 weeks to report to station. I told the people at the front desk the situation and they made me pay for a whole month even though I had to leave. They DO NOT have a military clause that waves any extra charges for military duties. Completely unacceptable especially being so close to a major Army base. Not to mention they had had a murder happen while we were there. I would not recommend this place or any of their affiliation properties, and definitely not to any military members.

Our records indicate that you were only required to pay through your 30-day notice due to your month-to-month status within our community. Killian Lakes’ policies abide by and sometimes offer more leniency than the Servicemember’s Civil Relief Act, depending on the lease terms. In this instance, renter obligations were more lenient, only requiring a 30-day notice and not requiring the following month’s rent as the SCRA would. Not only was the leasing staff friendly and helpful in getting me the apartment I needed, Austin went above and beyond to make sure that my move went well. Austin also makes sure the property is immaculate. The maintenance team keeps up with preventative maintenance such as HVAC filters, etc. Love my neighbors too.

I'm downsizing to a one bedroom apartment at Killian Lakes. I recently found out there are new buildings being built, and I need one. It will be so nice to have my smell, my spirit and energy in a brand new apartment! I'm scared and excited at the same time. I've never lived alone! This will be a new journey. The area is serene; and there's a big pool and exercise equipment. I'm loving my new place. Signed, sealed, and single in South Carolina! Me (Robyn)
It is a friendly and family community. I have been here almost three months and my family is happy with our choice. I love how quite it is and i never have a problem with parking. The pool is perfect for kids as not too deep.Office staff is friendly.
I love this place and the community it's a safe and clean well kept environment. I'm glad to call it my home.
