Harney Heights is a small, close-knit neighborhood in eastern Vancouver. This mostly residential neighborhood has a reputation for blocks of homes nestled around pine trees. Similar to many Washington neighborhoods, Harney Heights is extremely wooded with several parks. This neighborhood takes the notion of a tight-knit community to the next level. Its neighborhood association creates a positive atmosphere, hosting various events year round. If you want a secluded spot to live that’s still near plenty of modern amenities, Harney Heights fits the bill. The neighborhood sits directly east of Clark College and its common to see students, faculty, and staff walking or biking to campus. Residents also enjoy being only 2.5 miles from Uptown and Downtown Vancouver, placing them near some of the best dining, shopping, and entertainment options in the city. Great for commuters, Harney Heights is only 12 miles from Downtown Portland.

Property Ratings at King James Gate
The manager Kim and maintenance man Joe are one of the most professional teams I have ever seen. I see myself living here for quite awhile
Nice place. But the staff is unprofessional and disorganized. Multiple problems while I was living here. I left the place in the same condition I received it and they tried to charge me 700 dollars above my deposit they kept. Exaggerated and dishonest charges. Simply terrible. Beware.

Hi Mark, Thank for taking the time to leave this review. We would love to hear about the issue you had while being a part of our community. So, we can make changes to improve. Also, we would love to sit down and explain any charges that are unclear. Please stop by the office so we can begin a discussion.
when i lived there me and my roommate Ramon had motorcycles and they told us upon signing the lease they wouldn't be a problem. 5 months into the lease they put tow stickers on our bikes and acted as if we where using our 1 designated parking spot as a storage. (we road our bikes daily) they would put 24 hour comply or quit premises notices on our door without any kind of verbal warning first. ELIZABETH was probably the worst management member of them all. Always acted like it was a chore for her to awnser any questions you had and had the upmost disrespect talking to her when paying rent. i remember to stay kind to everyone i cross paths with but man she makes it hard Q: Would you recommend Kings Gate Apartments to a friend? A: Yea sure, when pigs can fly Q: Would you say the staff members at Templeton Property Management are helpful? A: Not in the slightest bit Q: On a scale from 1-10 how would you rate your living experience of kings gate ? A: 0

As soon as you enter the property your eyes widen to something special, something unexpected! Elegant landscaping greet your eyes and you cant help but notice how clean everything is.The pool area is touched with class and comfort.Walking into the apartment your diverted to the stunning new countertops,as you feel yourself relax in the large, open layout. Two inviting balconies await your morning coffee,or evening barbecue. And being able to park in your own garage definitely has its perks.A short hike to your neighborhood grocery store, local retailers, and a cute adjoining park all off a convenient bus line make this a pleasant piece of paradise. I lived here in 2012 and it was overall a great place to stay. The manager, Anita, was very friendly and helpful. We were on the lower level and could hear our above neighbors with their toddler, but you'll get that with any apartment. The neighborhood is a little scary, but the apartments are tucked away and I always felt safe, even with our new baby. We had parking for both our cars and visitor parking was available. The drive to get to the spots was a little narrow and can be tricky for bigger rigs, but I didn't usually have a problem getting in or out. Our lower level apartment had an outdoor space where we planted peas, tomatoes and corn. That was awesome! The living room and dining room were very spacious. I loved that the laundry had it's own room and we could also store things in there. The kitchen was small, but no smaller than the other apartments in that price range. The half bath was very small, but it was nice having a separate bathroom in the master for that price. We thought it was a great price and a great place. We had no maintenance issues.
Do not rent here. The reviews are lies and have been modified by Apartments. .com. I recently lived there and the reviews must be old. The place has gone down hill.
I've lived at King's Gate nearly a year, after finding it by accident while driving by. It truly is an oasis tucked away in its own little world....trust me, you're likely to drive right by it a few times. Quiet, well kept and manicured, no mystery guests of neighbors in your parking etc. With the broken-up design of multiple smaller (2 or 4) unit buildings comes a sense of community typical of a condo community or neighborhood street and one not usually found in mega-lets cram as many in as we can type-plexes. Along with this comes a management team who do an outstanding job of attending to business with a sense of urgency while also being community members and downright friendly on top of that. Any maintenance issues are attended to quickly and properly. Try that with those others who wear their "I don't care, I'm just here to sit behind this desk" attitude on their collar. If you're looking for a great place to call home close to downtown Vancouver and a quick skip onto the freeway, you owe it to yourself to check out King's Gate. Make sure you stop by well in advance of your planned move - full is the norm here with a small list of folks hoping to be lucky enough to catch any unit that come available. That alone says enough - highly recommended!
