Property Ratings at King's Isle Apartments
We are retired and sold our home, moving into King Isle Apartments 4 years ago. Our 3 bedroom/ 2 bath apt is spacious, well insulated and quiet. The views of the preserve and Round Lake are peaceful & beautiful. There is a Kayak ramp for Round Lake at the end of the road right next to the apartment complex. You can rent kayaks less than a mile away. Besides a local Stewart's there are two grocery stores within 3 miles. Management has been very responsive to our questions or concerns. Snow is removed immediately and I've never had to shovel out my porch or car. The gas fireplace adds warmth and charm to every apartment when needed. I can't recommend King Isle enough... especially for a retired person or couple looking to downsize and eliminate home Maintainance! I feel blessed to live here.
I moved into these apartments just a few months ago. The young lady, Alicia, that had initially showed the apartment was very nice and pleasant to talk to. After agreeing to take the apartment I then spoke to another very sweet lady named Rebecca. Any time I have had a question Rebecca has been my go to person and she has been very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The apartments are very nice, cozy, easy to decorate and quiet too. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to rent a nice, peaceful apartment with great views. So I would like to say thank you to Rebecca and Alicia for making my new home easy to get into and a pleasant transition as well.
The place is poorly built. New manager is very disrespectful. At first glance it looks like a nice place. Do not move here!
The new manager does not listen and is obnoxious run away from this place ! I rented a dirty apartment that had cats in it prior to me and it was not cleaned properly. When I gave notice to leave they tried to tell me I was obligated for a year lease even though the previous manager knew I was moving in the next two months. I will never recommend this place as it’s management is ridiculous and rude.
This property has a 5 star rating on Apartments.com, how? At the time of writing this review only two of six reviews were 5 stars the other four being 1 star. There is something fishy with how it has an excellent rating. I even looked at the disclaimer for how reviews are determined but it only raises more questions. If it's determined on other factors such as quality of construction, who determines that? The property management? Because that's the only thing it could be because Kings Isle has a ZERO in both walk score and public transit meaning you have no where to go near you and if you have no car, good luck. Be careful of this property it reeks of suspicious.
Kings Isle Luxury Apartments are located in the Stillwater lowlands bordering The Round Lake Preserve in Malta and right around the corner from the Zim Smith Trail which is an old D&H railroad bed that meanders along the Anthony Kill Creek over Route 9 near The Mill and into the Village of Round Lake, then under the Northway continuing West along Shenantaha Creek to Ballston Spa. Being on Rt 67 a couple miles from a Stewart’s and Adirondack Trust at the Global Foundries Entrance one way and a Price Chopper near the Hudson River heading the other way adds to the convenience without that Suburban Density that usually comes with apartment living. Neighbors here are a nice blend of young professionals and new families to active adults and retired folk which makes for a pleasant community of different paced walkers, strollers and rollers...
very shoddy construction, crooked mantle that was falling off, cheap, dried caulk through out the apt, issues with exterior doors not fitting/closing properly, our interior door handle was frozen one morning from air leak, entry way to the second floor is unheated and freezing which creeps upstairs, challenging parking, scary mold in some of the apts (I have photos), mice issues, very noisy, the yard spray they used killed all my potted plants twice before I moved them to my second floor deck, and they refused to return our repeated calls regarding our deposit. Took three weeks to get a call and almost two months to get our deposit check back which bogus charges deducted off the check. Do NOT recommend
Do a complete review of this complex before leasing. Many tenants are part of the developers construction crews. Very noisy. Claims luxury but it is not anymore so than your basic apartment. No pool, clubhouse, gym or playgrounds. Poor construction, low end appliances and carpet. Expensive for what you receive. Serious lack of parking. In units on the 2nd floor, garage for another tenant is directly below your bed. Noise of garage door opener at all hours of the day and night. Grinder system to pump out sewage from the complex uphill to Route 67 is always alarming. Smell from these grinder tanks permeates into the units. Note as you enter. Dangerous conditions entering and exiting on Route 67. High speed traffic and dangerous hill obstructs view. You must have everything in writing, not by word of mouth. Management promises and then denies such. List of do's and do not's is provided but manage is a shodow and does not enforce. Many complaints to the town of Stillwater and the Saratoga County Sewer District. If interested, take the time to talk with other tenants. First review is obviously by management. Always take reviews with a grain of salt. That is why your do diligence is required.
They look beautiful on the outside and very nice on the inside , however, you can hear every move your neighbors make! We moved in a year ago and there has been one disaster after another with these buildings. From cheap furnaces to leaky vents to mold on the walls and windows is and definitely not enough parking! Trash from the contractors gets blown all over and it looks awful! People with loud trucks running up and down the street at all hours of the night. You would think a beautiful country setting would be peaceful... very disappointed
Very upset with this place. We have bad credit but gross almost 80,000 A year together. Paid deposit to hold apartment, they told us 1 month deposit and 2 months free. Then got told we would have to double our security if approved when they ran our credit. Later that day we got told we were denied apartment. With 2 months security ready to go. Someone in office said they take credit scores above 500. Ours are bad but not near 500. Very disappointed . Let all our friends at Globalfoundries know they're shady.
After living in several apartment complexes from Saratoga to Clifton Park I recently discovered Kings Isle, owned by developer Bruce Tanski. I must say the new development located just off Rt 67 in Mechaniville is magnificent. The apartments are more like luxury condos than apartments. The interior is high quality with lots of extras you don't find in other apartments. The staff and matintence department are outstanding And although construction is still under way, the completed building are fully landscaped and turn key. You won't find a nicer or better buy in the capital region if you are renting.
