Property Ratings at Kingsborough
Management is excellent, and friendly. Apartments are clean upon move in, and apartments come with a welcome baskets. I have lived her for just about a year and a half, my neighbors are friendly and polite. I moved in about a week after that other review was written and I can say that that review is not true. You are paying a low cost of living here, as long as you know you are getting what you pay for you will be happy here. And what you are paying for is a home with nice people around you and a reliable management. Hope this helps!
STAY AWAY. Lived here about 8yrs with a 6 month break. In late 2016, it changed from awesome to mediocre and by 2017 it was like living in a totally different complex that I could not get out of fast enough. Management are not interested in customer service, tenant welfare or maintaining a nice living environment. Homeless people loitering in the building. Shady characters hanging around parking lot and by the building. Tenants – Partying, yelling and screaming through the building at all hours. Throwing things at my door, thumping, running and bumping up and down the stairs. They hang outside the front of building smoking and partying. Kids run and scream through the building ALL weekend. Parking lot turns into a playground on the weekends also. Dryer doesn’t dry – takes 2 rounds to dry a small load as 2 round leaves clothes/towels damp. Front door not fixed – damaged building door bangs shut very loudly against the wall of my apartment, told the office, but did not fix. Commercial noise – a few times a week, you can expect heavy machinery in the parking lot and around the building for a few hours. And with the windows being a few feet away from the parking lot, you can expect excess noise often from the parking lot such as partying in the parking lot, loud music from vehicles vibrating through your whole apartment. Parking lot, sidewalk and stairs to the door, usually littered with trash. Reving car engines. Loud booming music in cars. Tooting horns. If you are a non smoker, don’t expect to open your windows. People smoking around the outside of the building with smoke filling your apartment. Told the office, told me to close my windows during the hot summer. Inside of the building constantly smelled of smoke anyway. Alcohol bottles in the hallway and cig butts and trash in hallway. Complaint to management leads to threats and intimidation. Lease is not followed, but instead Manager applies arbitrary stipulations. Office does not want to deal with tenants, issues, or problems. They have an entitled attitude where you are there to serve them. I complained about excess noise and was told to leave.
