Largely due to its relative isolation from other major metropolitan areas, Sioux Falls has developed thriving local culture with robust shopping, dining, and entertainment scenes, delivering homegrown cultural resources that would be the envy of any city its size. The local rental market offers a diverse range of options -- the historic homes and apartment buildings of the City Center are popular among young professionals seeking to participate in the thriving downtown community, while the quiet suburban environment of the Shindler neighborhood tends to attract folks seeking a tranquil home life. No matter where they live, all residents enjoy the benefits of an exceptionally low crime rate, which sits at roughly half the national average.

Property Ratings at Kingsport Village Apartments
I moved in here last May because my previous landlord raised my rent every year. I've noticed that this complex isn't horrible, but a good updating and cleaning wouldn't hurt anything either. I've noticed the appliances in my apartment are kind of outdated, but they work fine. There is an exercise room here, but I noticed the equipment they have in there is old. There's also a pool and community room here. For what I could tell, they didn't look too bad. There are garages here, but they don't have any outlets in them (I found that kind of strange). I've also noticed on more than one occasion broken bottles in the parking lot. This complex is near a major road and a park and I find it kind of loud sometimes (I'm a fan of peace and quiet btw). Another thing I've noticed is that I really never see the manager, as compared to my previous residence, where I saw them all the time. I have a two bed, one bath for $765 and for what it is, it's not bad. But I compare this to my previous residence where everything was clean and fairly new and it was in a quiet part of town. If you don't have any problems with things being outdated and dirty sometimes, I'm sure you'd like living here. But if you like things clean and fairly new, I'd look somewhere else. My lease is up at the end of May, and I plan on moving when that time comes.
We love it here. There are some cosmetic things we would change (the linoleum needs to be replaced, and the woodwork/trim has paint drops on it), but other than this, we are very happy. The apartment is spacious for the price and comes with an underground parking space, which is invaluable in South Dakota winters. Maintenance is prompt--almost always same day! Love the management. Very kind. There's a pool we have enjoyed and we're very conveniently located to a grocery store, gas station, and beautiful walking trail. Plus, our unit had washer and dryer included, which is hard to find affordably. Definitely consider Kingsport. We were lucky ... We were putting the deposit down on their last available unit when another person called and complained that there are never any free units here!
