I have lived in Kipling Village for almost 2 years now and I have no intentions of leaving anytime soon. When I moved in , I had brand new carpets and it was super clean. Any maintenance issues I have ever had have been addressed and resolved quickly and with kindness. The rent is affordable and it’s in a great location, 15 minutes from downtown and 15 minutes from Golden. I have really loved living here.

I moved here in May, and I’ve only had amazing experiences with all the staff members. Everyone in the leasing office was friendly and helpful with the move in process, quick to answer all our questions. Since moving in, we have only had a couple minor maintenance requests, but they have been taken care of immediately. The grounds are well maintained, and the units are well insulated from the heat and highway noise. I also love how each month, the leasing office hosts raffles and events for holidays, bringing treats or hosting food trucks for the community.

There were a few aspects of move-in that were slightly rocky, but after a month of living here, I can confidently say I have never had a more effective office and maintenance staff at an apartment complex. The office staff has great communication and is very knowledgeable. The maintenance staff is very professional, prompt, and hard working. Admittedly, there are a few negatives such as our upstairs neighbors starting a fire within 24 hours of us moving in; however, Kipling Village has security monitoring the property at all times who were able to quickly call the fire department and get the situation under control. Overall, Kipling Village is a little rough around the edges, but our stay has been a very positive experience.

I have been here almost 2 years and never have had an issue. They are quick to respond. They take pride in the security of their tenants. The grounds are kept excellent as well as the pool and laundry rooms. Maintenance is quick to respond, if I have an issue. This really is a very nice place to live! After 8 years living here, I haven't had it as bad as some, except for the vehicle issues. In less than 2 years I had an awesome used car i recently purchase get stolen, someone tried to break into my Tacoma, and today my catalytic converter was stolen. At least once a month people have to throw away a all the beds and bedding due to bedbugs. I have been lucky. Roaches can be a problem for some people. Never rent a garden level apartment because the pipes easily become clogged and the apartments flood with sewage. The poor ladies below me have had their carpets replaced twice in the 8 years I have lived here. In the 8 years I have never had a problem paying my rent, but got really sick and was out of work for a while. Even though I told management several times about the situation, I was still issued a threating letter to be moved out after 10 days of non payment, luckily for me I was able to borrow money from my brother. I had a neighbor whos refrigerator died and not only did they lose over $300 worth of food but it took 2 weeks to get a new refrigerator. I had a leaking dishwasher that I didn't know about until my linoleum started to turn black. I was having sinus and other issues because of the black underneath the dishwasher and cabinets on both sides. It took the 3 times to come into my apartment and properly install the dish washer.

I have lived here for quite a while now. The office staff has always been very friendly and helpful. The maintenance team is always on top of things, even the little things. The apartments are cute and quaint, and they offer very reasonable prices. They have multiple laundry rooms on site which is super nice and readily accessible. They also have building entrance doors with key pads which I really enjoy. I am excited for the new additions coming to the property like the gas grilling station and fire pit! They also have two different pools, so you can go to the other one if one is too busy. Overall, I have really enjoyed my experience here so far.

Fairly clean apartment at movein. Small but clean laundry facility that is easy to access. A couple minor maintenance issues, but they were resolved quickly. Management is helpful and easy to get ahold of.

I’ve been here 4 years. I like my apartment, the kitchen is wonderful. There are small things inside that could use some attention but nothing big. However the area has gotten so bad with vagrants. Nothing like walking out of your door to step over people doing drugs. The office has tried to address it. It’s a nice surprise everyday to go out and my car hasn’t been stolen yet. Parking is difficult here but can’t be helped. I appreciate the regular inspections, it gives peace of mind knowing that my neighbors have to stay clean also. No balcony kind of sucks. With what rent is going to be, I’d prefer to have a balcony but that can’t be helped. The current market for apartments at the upcoming rates have balconies and exercise rooms. Better outdoor lighting would be helpful for security but that will also reflect in upcoming rent. Office and maintenance people are great.

This place is over priced and uncooperative. Good luck if you ever put a maintenance request in and don’t expect anything to get fixed from the initial walk through. I never feel safe walking to and from my car at night. Sketchy people hang around, looking in cars or dumpsters. People here are rude and inconsiderate (especially with noise). When move in time came, we were asked to wait longer because they were replacing carpet, which was fine until it meant that we couldn’t move in until around 6 pm with an initially agreed upon time of near 10 am. Our downstairs neighbor leaves poopy diapers outside her door for weeks at a time. In my short 6 months here, police have come to my section (out of three) a total of 5 times. Once it was my downstairs neighbor and was told that he was potentially dangerous. Our toilet flooded without being used and was told that a maintenance person would be here ASAP. Which meant 6 hours later. Just because you’re within a couple of miles of popular locations, does not mean that the area is good. Don’t be fooled, once you go under the I-70 bridge, the neighborhood gets bad quick. Their solution to any kind of wall damage is just to slap a very messy coat of paint on it, making the walls, doors, and frames look absolutely disgusting. Our lock on our door and windows doesn’t even lock all the way. Don’t expect to ever feel safe living here. They say they are working on ways to improve the facility, but only seek to increase profits. They improved the facility by building a dog park, when there’s one less than 0.25 mi away behind the apartments. Instead, maybe it would be better to invest in remodeling disgusting units or building entrance doors with key pads. They are solely out for the money and give no regard for its people. Side note: I never experienced the bed bug/insect issue I see in other reviews but I live on the top floor so it wouldn’t surprise me if the basement units are crawling with bugs. We got charged for an extra month of rent after our lease was over. It was just a simple mistake but it took me calling then 5 times a day for 2 days to actually get through to anyone. We did end up finding bugs in our apartment about a week before we left. Also our bath water went brown without anybody willing to fix it. We didn’t have an issue getting our deposit back, but it’s been 2 weeks since it supposedly was mailed so who even knows.

We have been working with the City of Wheat Ridge on adding additional amenities to the properties for our residents to enjoy including replacing the entry hallway doors and installation of key code locks. Transient activity in the Denver Metro has increased over the past couple of years. In order to decrease and eliminate the occurrence of transient activity at our community we have worked with the Wheat Ridge Police department to implement measures to improve this situation. Out of my 5 maintenance requests, only 1 has ever been fixed. Recently, I came home to doors ajar in my apartment and scattered splinters next a door. I was not sure why someone would have been in my place and before calling the police I stopped in the office to find out if someone had been in my unit. They let me know they had been entering peoples units to inspect them and said they would have someone fix it. The manager Katie, called and left a voicemail indicating someone had damaged the door and chipped some paint and wanted to apologize for not calling before I had come in to report the damage. Apparently she knew exactly what door was damaged and just was busy so had not been able to reach out before I came in. The fact they acknowledge the damage, apologize for it, and have yet to fix it should speak volumes about how they handle residents issues. My next biggest issue is the roach problem, when I moved in there were roaches running about my kitchen and living room, now years later the issue has not been fixed. It is much better but they indicated they would find me in violation of my lease if I did not break down cardboard boxes I had in storage for several years, I could keep the boxes I just needed to cut them up or I could be kicked out. Their strategy to address the roaches has been spreading roach poision around appliances and even in all of the cabinets where you store your food. When I was keeping canned goods on my counter and floor to avoid the roach poison they said I would need to store it next to their roach posion or be found in violation of my lease. All in all, I feel this is enough to give people and idea of what to expect by choosing to live here.

I’ve been a resident of Kipling village going on two years now. I am happy that I have chosen to live here. There are a couple things that the management could approve on. For example the out side of the buildings are old and look very run down. I think a little paint and some upkeep would do them good. Once you get in the apartments though its not that bad. New counter tops, nice cabinets, ok carpet, and not all white walls! They also have laundry rooms here which is nice, and I have never had a problem with them. There are only two washers and dryers in this big room thought, so sometimes its little inconvenient because they are all being used. The staff here are super nice, and I have never had a problem with anyone else. I have a had a very minor problem with bugs, however, the management was very on top of it. The maintenance team gets things done super fast when there is something that need to be fixed.

I have been living at the Kipling village apartments for 5 1/2 years, and as much as I can't stand the rental increase, it's typical living in Colorado.... However I love, I mean absolutely love- I could say I'm in love with the leasing office crew ( Miss Katie, Leah, Lisa and Chad) to name a few. It's not just the kindness they have, but at any given time I have ever needed anything, these rockstars have not only taken care of me, but went the extra mile to ensure the job was done right by always following up on a courtesy call and if I don't respond, they call back. Who does that these days.... No one! It's so easy to write a review of negative feedback, but it's also a lovely thing to write a review that needs some recognition. Keep up the fabulous job. You make my life being a resident so much easier!!!! Love you all!

My rent has been raised more than 100% since I moved in. I know that the market in Denver is tough, but I'm living in an overpriced dump. They may have fixed the facade, but that is all it is; a facade. This time around KV is trying to charge me for a smoke detector that maintenance took when adding a Carbon Monoxide Detector. Its always something with this place. If you want a peaceful place to live, then don't live here.

There is no free wifi, though it is widely advertised. Building had flooding issues, made me sign a bunch of bed bug disclosures.
My apartment is small but quaint. For a one bedroom one bath the rent is a little more than I think is fair, but matenaince is always here if need be, the landlords know my name and it has a dog park along with two pool and two basketball courts.
