Property Ratings at Kirker Creek
Office and maintenance is very unorganized Last minute move in date changes (day before and at their closing time ) They also did last minute cleaning ,carpet and paint for the apt . Mail keys don't work Office people don't know what they are doing .they just say it's the manger or maintenance they are waiting for but someone should be in charge of how fast things get done and have actually a move in ready apt . It's taking almost more than a week for mail keys because they give me a set that don't work and gate codes that doesn't even work .office ladies repeats themselves and says the same answer for a question that has nothing to do with the question I asked and doesn't understand questions and looks lost doesn't know what's going on .the office ladies seem like they don't even communicate to one another about anything. This is the worst office management I had and I lived in 5 apartments before.
Do not move here. Seriously, keep looking. Here’s why: 1. They use bait and switch tactics. The apartment I thought I was putting a hold on was not the apartment I was eventually given. I was not privy to this knowledge until a day or two before my scheduled move in date. They eventually gave me the ADA unit below a regular floor plan, which meant the person above me has their dryer directly above my head when trying to sleep. 2. Rampant theft issues throughout the entire community. I had my license plate stolen off the back of my car which was then used to steal another car. Then the thieves took that stolen car and parked it in the lot here. Which means whomever stole my license plate also stole that car and lived near me. My neighbor had their car stolen from the parking lot. The office did nothing to help in both cases. 3. Mice. I caught multiple mice in my apartment. Dead mice line the sidewalks. My upstairs neighbor caught 6 mice in her apartment. 4. Poor communication. Don’t expect a reply via email from them. Enjoy calling the leasing office 20 times before you get an answer. 5. They will hire terrible contractors to do important jobs, like repair the water line. There were days where there’s no water for 10+ hours. Even times when you will go a whole 24+ hours without water. In the middle of summer. 6. Packages will get stolen right from your doorstep. 7. I went a month and 10 days without light in my bathroom. I submitted multiple maintenance requests and send multiple emails to no avail. 8. The furnace in my apartment was faulty, which they knew about prior to me moving in. They decided to wait until I complained about it before they replaced it. Just don’t move here. Seriously, you’ll regret it. I’m wholly convinced that they rely on people breaking their leases early to leave in order to stay operational. I’d give it 0/5 stars if I could.
They state it's a gated community but what good is that when 90% of the time the gates do not work and are left open so anyone can come adn go as they please. And the got rid of all security so now car break-in's at night are becoming a thing here. Not worth the money.

Hello, please contact the office at kirkercreek.cd@fpimgt.com for the phone number to courtesy patrol. We have courtesy patrol nightly this hasn't changed. As I am aware that crime has no address we do strive to detour criminals from entering our property.
Property is a mess. We have lived here a few years and the staff is constantly turned over. None of them know what they are doing. They are constantly making mistakes and never fixing them. We did a transfer and it took 5 of them to figure it out. We are expericing an emergency and they won't step out of their bubble to fix it. Leasing staff will talk right over you, especially Diana. She lies too! Says she needs to ask her manager, puts you on hold, says manager didn't approve. When you ask to talk to manager, manager is never available. STAY AWAY AND DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!
History - lived there for 1 year in a renovated upper 1bd/1ba unit. Management - poor customer service, does not care about tenants, illegally deducted a "mandatory cleaning fee" of $135 from my deposit even though the apartment was cleaned to the condition it was when I moved in and never responded to my inquiries. Pre-moveout inspection did not even mention any additional cleaning was needed; just took my money after they said everything looked good. Utility - water, sewer, and trash is shared with other tenants. It's definitely on the high end. Just for my unit with 2 person, the average charge per month is $160. That is ridiculous. AC - Worked poor when temp outside got over 90 degrees. Would be on continuously and couldn't even get the inside temp to below 80 degrees. Not even at night. Maintenance came out to look and didn't fix it. Not to mention this increased the electricity bill. Parking - never enforced, people parking everywhere with more vehicles per unit than allowed. Broken down cars and out of state cars parked and nevered moved without any enforcement. Pools - overcrowded all the time. I'm sure people invite their friends and family from outside the apt community all the time. Gates - open all the time during operating hours which is pointless in providing secure access. People dumpster diving is common. Neighbor - one neighbor was loud all the time including after hours (midnight -2am). Informed management but nothing seemed to happen because nothing changed. Conclusion - overpriced, badly managed, not going back, look elsewhere.
Inside of Apartment smells like sewer and every thing is so dirty and disgusting. No matter how much you clean, the bad odor doesn’t go away. They show you one ‘show apartment’ but they don’t show you what actually you will be renting. There is no water meter at any appartament and you get billed extremly exgravaganza invoices each month. In reality you pay for your nieghbors, all amenities, the management office, three swimming pools, landscaping area and etc. one person over $100 per month in winter. There are mulplile laundry facilities around which function with coin. But the water usage of those laundries get charged to the tenets. The contract is over 51 pages and you have to sign or initial not only every page but often, every line. And sometimes, you don’t know what you are signing as whole page doesn’t show on line. The Manager is extremely rude and arrogant, just right after you sign the contract. And she claims, ‘you signed the contract’. Complex is extremly dirty . No gardener, no cleaning crew. Dog pupp around on sidewalk or landscaping area for days. Water leakages from several buildings for weeks and they don’t care as they don’t pay and tenets should pay. On and on and in.., I can write a book about this place.
Multiple times my car has been broken into. The gates don’t work. Vagrants going through trash. Strangers walked into my apt. Carpet is subpar.
The place is beautiful but the administration and staffs aren’t helpful and the place is dangerous. We had stolen packages on our doorstep and employees showed no interest in helping us. We took the damage from the things that were stolen and the most they did was say "I'm sorry". Other neighbors had cars broken and motocicleta stolen.

Our team has found that package deliveries can sometimes be problematic if you are not home to receive them yourself. In response to a few recommendations we have received from other residents, we have installed our very first Amazon Package Locker! Moving forward you will be able to order items without having to coordinate your schedule to be home when it arrives. Our community holds regular Neighborhood Watch meetings for fellow neighbors to tell about their experiences regarding suspicious activity and more. Please let me know if you would like to be involved, I would love to share more information! Thank you, Yvette Finau Community Director Kirker Creek
When you tour the community, apartments are nice with great vaulted ceilings and huge balcony, community has great amenities and they promise a gated community. Do not be fooled. I have always lived in community type apartment complex and this is by far the worse! It should have been a red flag for me when a week before I was due to move in there was radio silence, I had to reach out to the leasing office multiple times to know what I needed to move in. When I did move in the apartment was a disaster! Door were broken, stains on the floor, holes in the wall. It only spiraled from there. I had to go to the office everyday for the first two weeks to try and remedy the condition of the apartment and two months later there are still pending repairs. When talking to the manager she told me to let us know and we'll help to the best of our ability... I don't think she understood the point was I had already wasted so much time "letting them know." Parking... they promise available parking. Yeah available if you make your own space in the fire lane. But don't worry, I've never seen them tow those cars!
Property Manager at Kirker Creek, Responded To This Review
I appreciate your honest feedback. After investigating the parking issues, I found that tow companies cannot take cars unless the red curb specifically says "Fire Lane". Our team will be correcting all unmarked red curbs this week. I would love to get more details on exactly what took place as well as confirm that all repairs needed have been completed. Please reach out to me at (925)427-6700. Thank you, Yvette Finau Community Director Kirker Creek Apartments
Terrible place to live. DO NOT MOVE HERE. The staff is extremely rude and disrespectful along with unorganized. They allows drug dealers to live/deal here. They don't care about their residents at all. They get you in a rental agreement then you're dirt to them. Save yourself the hassle and find elsewhere.
The apartments here are really nice. I recently leased a one bedroom fully renovated. Nice and spacious. The one thing I will say is do NOT go by the apartment pricing from apartments.com I went in thinking a townhouse was 1796 a month max. It is actually in the low 2000's. There market rate is insane because they have over 500 units. Just beware fully renovated one bedrooms are going for $ 1668 a month. Not happy with the pricing but it is a nice community. And if you know Pittsburg, that's hard to find.

We moved here as soon as new management took over. Management began a major overhaul of the property, it has had more of a negative effect than a positive one so far. First issue is the security gate, out of all the remodeling of the property that's taken place, they haven't even been able to keep the gate to get in the place operational, meaning it's open most of the time. This is a security issue that has resulted in my car being broken into, I've heard from two neighbors who have been victims as well. Second, with all the construction going on, management chooses to store equipment in the area otherwise used for our buildings guest parking, at least 2-3 of the parking is gone for now and fenced off. I like the area, and have found numerous places either cheaper, or more to offer for the same price. Management seems to be worried more about the cosmetics to attract new residents, instead of focusing on the functionality of the property to address the needs of us who are already here. I don't take it personal, it should be kind of expected. The people you deal with in the office are very professional, and their smiles almost convince you that their higher ups just might care.
Love my 2 story townhouse with parking for 4 cars. Two in the garage and two outside. It has 2 balconies. The management is great and the property is pet friendly. Been here for fifteen years. I may move to Law Vegas when I retire, Hopefully I can find something comparable.
Lived in Kirker Creek apartments for about 8 months now, the grounds are very nice it like living in a park setting(well dog park setting), I though I love pets, but when you have tenants with 3-4 dog and cats in there 900-1150 sq foot apartments it becomes a bit much. I lived near the hill side of the complex Well the lights on the walking paths, in my area of the complex have not been working now for at least 6 months, I have fallen twice and complained many of times due to the area being so dark, when ever I come home I have the use the flash light on my cell phone so that I can see where I am going and no animals are in my path, the ones that roam around in the night or the homeless people that walk thur or ride the bikes looking for recycles. the maintenance is horrible, don't even waste your time putting in a repair ticket, it will be months before it gets done, but the new owners are spending a lot on money upgrading the grounds. I have lots of issues with my current apartment, but I plan to move out when my 1 years lease is up, I pay to much money to not get the service that is needed. if you are looking the transitional living this is it. I will get this a 3 star, because it is a nice peaceful place, and when they finish all the upgrades. I should be very nice
I've lived in this apartment for 15 years and I've been enjoying every minute of it some things have change some things like new ownership, new management but overall it's been good living here its pretty secure but it used to be better but still good also good service. Also the grounds are well kept and it's pet friendly.
I have lived in my apartment for fourteen years in September. This is the only apartment i've lived in since relocating from Chicago in 2001. I was scheduled to leave Chicago on 9/11 the day the twin towers were attacked. It took a few extra days before I was able to fly out and I have stayed put. I absolutely loved my apartment when I first arrived and I still do but there have been many changes since I first arrived. I have two bedrooms two and a half bathrooms a living room and dining room combination with a galley kitchen. The carpet needs replacing and when I asked about having that work done I was told I could move into one of the newly renovated apartments and there would be a rent increase. I am not presently employed so that would be a bit of a challenge right now. I could go on but will stop here. Thank you for your consideration.
The apartments changed ownership last year. They are in the finishing phase of redoing the clubhouse, and swimming pool area which is great! We all will be so excited to see the new changes. Overall the apartments are ok. The walls are paper thin, and the entry gates to enter the community constantly stay open. Some of the locks outside the community don't lock. It is easy to walk right onto the property if your not a resident. Non-residence come in to use the pool all the time. Which is not good. They make a lot of noise. There is no onsite security like it use to be. I have never seen the new security . Sometimes it is hard to reach the office staff. The maintenance staff is great!
