Property Ratings at Knights Landing
I have lived at Knights Landing off and on for the past 10 years. It's a great little community: it's safe, close to shopping, grocery & highway, and affordable. Yes, the building are old but maintenance works hard to keep everything working. Mayra is such a special person and the reason why I felt good returning to this community. I do think it's time they stop raising rates and instead invest in renovations. If you're looking for a simple, safe community to call home while you finish up grad school or work, then this is a great place to be.,
Be aware! The buildings are very old so that they would make a loud noise when you walk on the second floor, let alone using a washer. So, the neighbors might complain about you and kick you out easily! And the manager will not listen to you that if you have made noise or your roommate or none of you. You are all out! Good luck finding another place in a short period of time.
I'm living here right now. You can't fill up the deep freezer of the refrigerator even half way full. When you do, it starts making loud sounds, whic are so annoying. Can't sleep. Tried complaining, but they say there's nothing they can do and that it's our fault that we put too much stuff in it. I mean, not even halfway full and that's too much? It's definitely a bad freezer. And their customer service is so bad. One day there was a leak in our toilet. The technical guy came to fix it and couldn't find anything and made the excuse that the water came from the shower. But it didn't and i explained to him why. But he just wouldn't admit. But then, I spotted the damage myself, where the water was leaking from. Then he fixed it. I had to do what was their duty. I don't mind that. But he was so sure that it wa from the shower and started blaming us, which made me irritated. Up until now, the freezer still makes the noises and I have to deal with it. And they just started a way to pay the rent online few weeks ago. And you have to pay extra 2 dollars to pay using eCheck, which I find totally absurd. It's not the pice that irritates me, but that it exists. eChecks have always been free. I wouldn't pay a penny to do it.
I'm currently living with two others. The two at the front desk are amazing and helpful. However, the major flaw comes with maintenance. The previous renters had asked for an addition to the apartment, one that we would have preferred removed. The oven's range only works sometimes. The drawers are also really finicky. Now, you must understand that we aren't college kids. Two of us are a practically married couple and the third is a graduate student. This is not us misusing the apartment. These are things that were there to begin with that maintenance was meant to fix. The maintenance man came in for the oven and, though it wouldn't heat up enough to make a grilled cheese the day before it was working fine and therefore, must be working just fine. The drawers just "must be handled gently" and not used like normal humans use their drawers. Therefore not worth fixing because they can't be fixed. I like the apartment at it's base. It's not a horrible place to live and it's right in between a major shopping complex and UCF with there being a ten minute drive to either. However, maintenance is lazy.
