Property Ratings at Knollwood Village Apartments
If you dont need anything from them its fine to be here.. Although you might have bedbugs depending on what building your in. Manager is rude as all get out. They treat you like u are just money and not human. Maintenance is slow but in there defence there is only a few for such a big area. And seeing the boss i see why. I had a huge water leak coming from ceiling issue. Took over 6 months to fix it. After each year of being here they raise ur rent... You think they would wanna keep you
The size and pictures are tempting, trust me. But when you live here you figure out it’s not the oasis you think it is. Frequent gunshots, dogs barking, and very noisy at night. Staff is very rude and any repair you may need will be slow to happen and staff will undermine and mouth you off. Sketchy place to live. Look elsewhere unless you’re armed.
This is the second time I have lived here in 8yrs, and the complex has gotten worse since 2009. The only reason I am here is because the accept my dog. The grounds always have garbage lying around and not picked up, maintanace could be better, and don't let them tell you there are only certain buildings you can have a dog, because from walking around the complex I see dogs and their owners in quite a few buildings front the front of complex to the back. And many do not pick up after their animals and let them go wlhere ever they want to squat(including the sidewalks). I do have good neighbors though so that is a plus, and the noise level is pretty good.
I have lived here for six months I'm starting to regret my move. Maintenance is very slow to repair and when they do the job is always half done! Tonya who is the office manager is very very rude and has horrible customer service skills. My building is not secure maintenance took the lock off over a month ago and it is still off! So anyone can walk in. Snow removal is horrible when I talked to the management (Tonya) I was told I needed to buy a shovel! Yes the rent is reasonable but it not worth the headache. I would never recommend Knollwood Village Apartments to anyone! I could go on and on about the issues with this place but I don't have time...nonetheless the location is convenient!
Knollwood Village offers a wodnerful apartment just the perfect size. However the grounds are not maintained throughout the whole complex. As it is very evident that Maintenance only make sure to pick up the grounds in certain areas. In addition to that the parking lots are filled with potholes that are likely to give you a flat! Maintenance is slow at fixing work orders and the Office staff is not friendly at all. It is however located in a prime location as it is close to highway and also not too far from downtown Grand Blanc. Nice pool for swimming and large complex great for taking walks. If office staff was more helpful and friendly and maintenance took care of issues properly this place would be a great place to live ....but they don't!!!!!
I've lived in Knollwood for almost 15 years. I was staying with my mother but I just moved into my own apartment a few buildings down last year. I love Knollwood, it's my home, but over the years it has gone down hill quite a bit. The back of the complex floods, a few years ago there was water up to the doors on peoples cars. Of course it also ruins everything in the basements. The apartments themselves are awesome, the floorplans are nice and wide, and there is a lot of closet space in both the two bedroom and one bedroom plans. However, some of the buildings are rather old (like my new one), and you can see it in the paint and the way the walls are shaped. My wall next to my balcony bends if you push on it. The electricity is a little sketchy, my bathroom light doesn't always shut off if you flip the switch. The pool is one of the deepest and biggest than any other complex around here. The fitness room is rather nice, too. Maintenance is horrible, now. I've called three times about my air conditioning. They say that they will be there, but they never show up. I've also called twice about my bathroom sink, which is completely clogged and has been since I moved in. When I did move in, we were promised that we would be able to see our actual unit before signing the lease, but it took them the entire month before I moved in to finish installing new carpet. We ended signing before seeing it. However, most of the time there isn't much of an issue. It's rather quiet around here, there are many problems with neighbors or anything. Trying to get anything fixed is kind of a nightmare, but if everything is working fine, and you can just live without dealing with them, it's a pretty nice place to live overall. I wouldn't say to steer clear of them, but if you can afford to live somewhere nicer, I'd advise towards that.
