Property Ratings at KRC Chester Place
I wish I could give it 0 stars but I can’t so here’s a few reasons why you should find somewhere else to live. 1. The women that run the office are extremely unprofessional. They will lock the door hours before they are supposed to close and then laugh at you if you try to knock on the door for their attention. Good luck paying them your rent or getting any kind of maintenance done. 2. They will lock the (24 hour) laundry room down at 6-8pm while people have clothes still going, so good luck if your work clothes get stuck in there. 3. They will unexpectedly tow your car from a spot you have been parking in for over a year with no issues. 4. Homeless people and drug addicts(not trying to judge) are constantly walking the grounds in the middle of the night, I’ve had my car broke into on multiple occasions. 5. Most neighbors are extremely noisy and play loud music till 2-4am and the office/cops refuse to do anything. 6. If issues arise and the office won’t talk to you (they never do), there is no way to contact the person that owns the business. You pretty much have to go to small claims court to make anything happen. 7. Most of the apartments I’ve seen over there have either bedbugs or most commonly, roach issues which never get addressed. 8. It says they have a pool but it’s never open, and the few times it had been, it was extremely dirty.... after all of this if you move in there, just remember I warned you.
moved out to Chester place. Moving in was a little rocky. I moved into my apartment and when I moved in the unit had bed bugs. They had to treat the unit and I had to have the hassle of washing all of my things. After staying there for months, the area is quiet. I was sad that the pool didn't open until basically the end of the summer, and the laundry facility wasn't available and down for the majority of my lease. We went under new management which has been very disappointing. The sweet elderly lady under me said that the property management was a lot better years ago and shes also very disappointing in the new management.. They haven't considered major problems to be emergencies. My a/c in my apartment and water in shower are constantly running even when the circuits were off. After leaving several voicemails and not getting any return phone calls, I've became irate. One maintenance guy came by, and confirmed the issue was fixed 3 times. He would never fix the issue. Eventually there became a puddle of water in the hallway where carpet is(bad idea). There's a mildew/moldy smell and mold on all of my personal items and electronics that were in the closet. Also came back after hurricane Dorian, there was a tree that came through my bedroom window and there was glass shattered in my bed and my bedroom window was wide open at the bottom. The apartment complex stated to me that it was not considered an emergency. It's really uncomfortable and I feel unsafe being that neighbors around me have already been caught being peeping toms in my window after midnight. Being that the front office was given all this information, I am completely dishonored on the way its being handled. On top of all that, don't leave your car doors unlocked, you will get robbed. The only pros about this property is that its quiet. The pool is warm also! Shadia the manager on property is terrible. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. I even have her recorded of how nasty she speaks to renters. One day I asked to see my rental agreement and she just boasted at me “ you should have that” I’m sorry that I am packing up and may have lost it. She wasn’t even able to provide me with that. I can name a billion and one reasons why I would NEVERRRRRRRRRR recommend this property to no one. If I could give them no stars I would!
I’ve been living out here for almost a year, my lease is almost up and I honestly can’t wait. They keep up with the grass and the landscaping. The pool didn’t open until the end of the summer. My apartment had bed bugs when they moved me in that had to be treated. All in all, What perceived to be a nice property, has turned out to be a huge disappointment. We are under new management and they don’t consider your major problems as emergencies. My a/c in my apartment and water in shower are constantly running even when the circuits are off. The pan in the a/c drip the wrong way and has caused major issues with personal items lost as well as a splashs if water as you step on the carpet in that hallway. I was on the top floor so ppl under me are probably having major ceiling issues. The office has been getting calls and voicemails for two months and no one has fixed the issue. The maintenance guy came three times and confirmed it was fixed and it ruined my personal items 3 times. There’s a mildew mold smell and I’ve gotten extremely congested and they have not considered this an emergency at all. Also during hurricane Dorian a tree went through my window. There was glass all over my bed, and a big body sized break in my bedroom window. If the wind blows too hard glass particles would be right in my bed. It’s really uncomfortable and unsafe also being that weird neighbors have been caught 2am being peeping Toms. Being that the front office was given all this information I am completely dishonored on the way it’s being handled. I would not recommend this property to anyone!
