Less than ten miles south of Portland along the Willamette River, Lake Oswego is suburban community characterized by lush greenery and a first-rate personality all its own. The local school district has been recognized as among the best in the nation, the crime rate is low, and the League of American Bicyclists has named Lake Oswego one of the most bike-friendly communities in Oregon (which is saying something).
The lake itself is surrounded by gorgeous homes and old-growth evergreens, and large parks and nature preserves are never far away. The area closer to the river is a nice mix of homes and small businesses (cafes, shops, nightlife) in a highly walkable configuration, and trolley service to Portland is available from the Oak Grove Station on State Street.

Property Ratings at Kruseway Commons
I always recomend kruseway commons. In these times I am so lucky to afford this. Yes its expensive but the price of apartments across the U.S the median is 1742. My rent is lower than that, but this place did not raise rents during the pandemic. No other apartments around here did that. I could choke at the price of apartments. !2 years ago I moved to downtown Portland great place for 672.00 12 years later its closer to 1700. OH MY GOD. I start hyperventilating, but even in downtown ( and yes I was weird) I never made friends, I went to Portland state and no one ever acknowledge me. Look its Lake Oswego and generally Apartments are cheaper that a big portion of rent is location. I live across the street from shops and restaurants. The bus is literally 1 minute from my door and could be 1 minute for you too. 1 block from a huge park. It?s residential neighborhood, very very safe. That?s what people pay for I would say I pay for the fact I ( ME) have friends, the staff is even better than I explained, I pay for almost immediate service with maintenance. It?s not just me, the staff do not favor anyone, but gosh what a staff they have amassed, I have lived in 22 states, and KRUSEWAY COMMONS, is my home and I love it here
All things considered, I think the community/amenities would appeal to a lot of people.
It's a lovely community.... but the response for help is slow.
I absolutely love the office personal especially Hannah now is manager and Shannon always very helpful and knows everybody by name .
Comfortable community, quiet, close to freeway, Lake Grove and downtown LO. Great area for walking.
It's a fine place, but very expensive. I suppose most places are but they didn't seem to put the improvements into the actual apartments. They were talking about adding a building for a workout room, etc. The apartments themselves need improvements.
Friendly staff; clean well taken care of community; great location
Location is good an I feel safe here. Weekly food trucks are a great benefit.
The complex is well maintained, tenants are respectful, and the staff is responsive. I would recommend this apartment community to others.
The apartment we looked at was on the bottom floor and way too dark for me. I didn't care for carpet in the main living areas and do not care for communal washers/dryers. I would be coming from a single family home, so for the asking price of the apartment rental, I think it's too much.
Only draw back is I don't like wood firepalces...prefer gas...
Dan (maintenance) was professional, knowledgeable, punctual, and kind. The kind women who cleaned my fireplace, did a great job. Made me even more excited to live at this complex.
We toured 5 complex's and only chose another one because of access to the Mountain Park Rec Center. Otherwise this was our 2nd choice.
I can't recommend this because no one responded to my inquiry.
I can see this community is very safe, well maintained and desirable,
Overall a great community. Just didn't fit my needs. I wanted to move to be closer to work. With covid restrictions amenities were hard to use and we still had to pay for them. Office staff sometimes were hard to get a hold of or never returned phone calls. Wish the apartments had AC. Electric bill was too expensive along with W/S/G. It was difficult when being told window units were not allowed then constantly having our outside porches looked at to see if we meet protocol. Kind of ridiculous to not be able to leave a wet towel outside to dry after going to the pool.
So far a good move experience.
Beautiful apartments in a pleasant comfortable environment
Top notch in every respect. If the units has A/C, I would have put a 10.
Very clean, updated, animal friendly, great amenities, close to shops and freeway
Quiet, convenient to shopping and I5
Peaceful complex close to everything
It's beautiful here, but based upon what I could afford, my apartment is very cramped.
The property is well kept and staff are extremely helpful.
This is the best community to live in Lake Oswego. The office team is highly professional, efficient, and friendly. Hannah is a rock star! The maintenance team is also exeptional! They are very knowledgeble, and responsive. The grounds are not only beautiful, but are kept impecable. I highly recommend Kruseway Commons to anyone who wants to live in an upscale, excellent customer service, and a great location apartment home.
It's a great location and looked well maintained. I also liked that it felt like you were part of the connecting neighborhood.
Everything is amazing here. We love to live here and highly speak to our friends about it.
Staff and maintenance are responsive to requests, but so much has needed repair since I have moved in & really should have been taken care before I move in. Overall neighbors are respectful, generally is safe & for minor security issues patrol is available & good. Outside landscaping is very well maintained & is one of the best attributes of this location. Amenities have been mostly closed due to COVID.
It is in a great location with a really great walking neighborhood. Maintenance is lacking in the move in condition of the unit. For the price I pay I expect a little more effort. Recycling area is a major problem.
Highly recommend this complex especially to families with kids , great office personnel who are always on top of things , very friendly atmosphere.
10000% would reccomend. I have already tried convincing all my friends to live here. It's the best!!
The maintenance guys are absolutely wonderful . Clarence has a great team and they're doing a great job, he was a great find. I've lived here for 10 years. The guys now are wonderful to work with..
Wonderful mix of convenient location, lease options, value for rental price, professional staff. We are very pleased with our choice above competitor options.
Clean grounds, friendly office management.
It felt like home and offered everything I've been looking for.
Safe community, great area, and friendly staff.
We are very pleased with our experiences thus far with the Kruseway Commons. Hannah the assistant manager has been superior to work with in every way! An excellent professional who has made our experience very smooth and reassuring to move from our home.
It's comfortable and convenient. The two outside doors to the deck are a nice touch. We like the new appliances and the layout. :-)
I really appreciate the quick attention to my request. Thank you!
I had a very good experience living here, the move in and move out process was extremely seamless. I really liked the little things about living in my unit such as the ceiling fan and the quick turn around for maintenance. I do wish however I got to use the deck, I bought my own ping pong paddles and corn hole bean bags and never got to use them because once the warmer months hit it was closed throughout the months until I moved out.
I have not moved in yet, but have been treated with courtesy and friendliness by all I have encountered.
The community is generally quiet. Its very safe and the grounds are well kept. Staff is friendly. The apartments are nicely appointed. The only big thing I can say that is negative at this point is that the recycling area is often overflowing and maybe needs to be picked up just a little more frequently.
We love our apartment! Downsizing was difficult but it works! We love the setting of our apartment. It feels like we live in a park!
The maintenance staff has been incredible and very quick which was a huge problem at my former apartment community. The rent is a little high but worth the quality of life living here.
The community is clean and well kept, the grounds are lovely, the apartments are well appointed and maintenance is prompt and courteous.
I really feel KC is a great place to call home.
Great amenities, quiet area, clean and nice apartment with decent appliances and features. A little on the price-y end of the spectrum, but not surprising given the area.
I like the diversity and the relative quiet of the complex
Kruse Way drive is very noisy and is behind the apartment. The recycle center is messy and always full.
I really liked the large 1BR and 1BR Loft apartments, the layout, colors, and nice kitchen. The apartments and property are well-maintained. I like the community amenities.
