Property Ratings at Kulana Hale Senior Apartments
Looking for a place for my husband and I. Saw the pictures on their website and was impressed with the property. Last week Wednesday I called to get additional information. The woman I spoke to wasn't very friendly and seemed annoyed with all of the questions. I asked if there were any units available and she said NO yet this site says there is. I asked if she was the manager and she said NO! I asked for the managers name and she responded, she's not here! I wish the welcome call had been a bit warmer because we really liked this property especially because of its location. We will continue to look around!
We are looking for an apartment for my aunty who currently lives in Kalihi in a run down apartment building. We are looking for a unit that is safe and clean. We found Kulana Hale on apartment.com and thought we would call to get some information. I spoke to Tanya who is the manager. She was very helpful, personable and informative. She gave me several referrals for cleaning services, bathing services and she offered to show me around Kulana Hale. I asked if she could meet with me within the hour and she said, yes! I quickly got ready and headed to Kulana Hale. When I entered the complex, I saw several seniors sitting at the entry talking stories and I thought, my aunty would fit right in. I met with Tanya. She was very very nice. She showed me around, answered all of my questions, and got me application. I also met the maintenance gentleman who was also very nice. It seems like the tenants and the staff have a great relationship. There were two woman sitting in this rec room area outside the management office. I asked them how they like it at Kulana Hale and they had nothing but nice things to say. They seemed to really like the manager Tanya and said she is always so helpful. They said anytime they need something, they can count on her. I got the application and plan to fill it out as soon as possible. Tanya offered to show the unit to my aunty at a later time since she wasn't with me which I thought was very nice. (I've been to other apartments where the manager has exactly 2 minutes for you, no more.)I hope to get my aunty an apartment at Kulana Hale. I know she will like it there. Oh and another thing I liked, the building is secured, has a security guard and on-site staff for emergencies. Tanya said the office is open from 830am-430pm but closes from 2-4 Monday-Friday.
