Just north of Anaheim lies Fullerton, an energetic community full of public parks, unique shops, and an enviable variety of arts and entertainment options. This diverse area exhibits classic California, with Spanish-style homes and apartments set behind picturesque palm trees on wide boulevards. The area is full of families, artists, working professionals, and more, giving it a livelier atmosphere than surrounding areas.
The huge number of students enrolled at Fullerton College and Cal State Fullerton comprise a hefty chunk of the local population, and clusters of restaurants and nightlife hotspots can be found around their campuses. The Continental Room and Matador Cantina both command a crowd on the weekends, and Brea Mall offers up some of the best shopping outside central LA.
Theater and film events fill the calendar, and the local music scene has produced dozens of notable alumni over the years.

Property Ratings at LA COSTA
The apartments are decent, pest control is great. However, the management is the worst i have ever seen. They are just trying get as much as money as possible and give you a little bit information about everything, instead of helping to solve the problem they are just making it harder for you. I would say stay away from La Costa but if you were to rent from here, make sure to pay ur rent on time and aware of the 30 day notice process before moving out, make sure what to do and when to inform them before moving out. Also in the unit i stayed, the doorway for the kitchen wasn’t big enough to even fit a regular sized fridge, it just crazy to me to not able to fit a regular sized fridge in the kitchen. I bet all of the apartments that have “satellite management” sucks in terms of the management.
Not even worth giving one star. There is nothing, only the market price, and the interior is not new.
I lived at this complex for over a year and a half during my junior/senior years of college. Though it has been a few months since I moved out, I would advise people to not move here. For reference, I was also 20-21 and a woman. The neighborhood is not safe. I had my car broken into and know that teens regularly broke into the pool area and left it trashed. I tried on multiple occasions to call security that is supposed to be patrolling, but they would inform me that they refused to do anything until their designated time (two to three hours after the office had closed). They would tell me to call the police instead. Like any complex, some neighbors are nice and some are terrible. I always seemed to get the rowdy people above me and the office did nothing about it. I also had multiple packages stolen off my doorstep, which the office also refused to do anything about. However, I did catch them speaking to a man about a similar problem which they would "see to right away". When I asked what they could do to help me, they told me to use an amazon locker a mile away. Today, I called them realizing that the company I worked for had not updated my address and had sent an important large envelope to my address at this complex. They told me that there was essentially nothing they could do about it due to them "having no control over the mail room". I will now never see that envelope because I lived near that mail room and know what happens when people receive mail that does not belong to them. It does not get sent back to the postal service, it is thrown in the garbage. I had witnessed it several times while doing my laundry. This complex is unhelpful and unkind, especially if you are young and they think you are ignorant to how complexes should be run. If you are older and have no co-signer, they will always take your word over that of a college student, even if the student is in the right. There are several other issues that occurred during my time at this complex that are too numerous to list, but all of which could have been solved if the leasing office had been even a little more attentive.
Management does not show ANY care for their tenants. Based on false information given to me, from their employee, months before my lease expired, my unit was NOT eligible for the renewal I was told would be okay. Because of this they wanted to charge me 1/2 month rent for the timing. They do not own up to their own responsibilities. There is also constant construction work being done for the past 9 months, starting at 8:00am ON THE DOT every morning. You will be much better off finding another place.
Very nice staff. The apartments are very big with two closets in each bedroom. this works since I have roommates. My guests can park inside when they visit. I really love it here. my neighbors are awesome.
I am a 3rd year student at California State University Fullerton. The La Costa's are a quick 15 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride to campus. I like it here a lot, because of how quiet it is. If you are a student and looking to live in an area that is easy to study in. Then this is a great option!
This is the Best Place I have Lived! The Area is So Nice! The Laundry Room and the Mailboxes are Locked up over Night! There are Lush Trees,Clean Pool and Spa! Best of all they have a Security Service overnight for any Non-emergency Problem! and the Office Staff are so Nice and Helpful!
I LOOKED FOR AN APARTMENT FOR 6 MONTHS BEFORE I SAW LA VILLITA APT. I FILLED AN APPLICATION AND WAITED 3 MONTHS FOR AN APARTMENT TO BE AVAILABLE.I LIKE THE APARTMENT BECAUSE THE ROOMS ARE SPACIOUS AND SO IS THE KITCHEN. IT HAS TWO BEDROOMS AND 2 SHOWERS IT HAS PRETTY LANSCAPE AND THEY KEEP THE GROUND CLEAN. IT HAS A NICE CLEAN SWIMMING POOL. ONCE I HAD BEEN LIVING THERE FOR ACOUPLE OF DAYS I FIND OUT THAT THE APT IS INFESTED WITH COCKROACHES ESPECIALLY THE KITCHEN. THEY EVERYWHERE AND ON EVERYTHING. I HAVE DOUBLE WASH EVERYTHING WE USE.THEY SPRAY OFTEN BUT IT DOESN'T HELP. THAT IS MY MAIN COMPLAINANT AND FOR THAT I GIVE THEM 3 STARS.
We have lived at La Villita Apartments for 3 years, we are sad to be leaving but increase in rent force us to leave, also change in property management style (from very friendly to not so friendly). We really like the 2 bedroom apartment layout, it's spacious and very comfortable, an excellent apartment for a small family. It's very quiet, plenty of storage space if you get a carport or even a garage. The laundry, office, and mail boxes are centrally located in the laundry room. The property is well maintained and their maintenance personnel seem very competent. The grounds are quiet and well maintained. What we like is they provided cabinets in the laundry room to securely store laundry detergent, bleach and fabric softener. Are only disappointments, which they stopped excepting UPS & FedEx packages if you are not home because of liability reasons? We had a young couple leaving downstairs that likes to play music and hockey at 2:00 AM in the morning, but property security guard resolve the issue. I highly recommend La Vallita Apartments to friend not really.
I have lived at La Villita Apartments for 3 years and I'm sad to be leaving but my company is transferring. I really like the layout of the studio apartment, it's spacious and very comfortable, an excellent apartment for an executive or student. It's very quiet, plenty of storage space if you get a carport or even a garage. The laundry, office and mail boxes are centrally located and nearby. The property is well maintained and their maintenance personnel are quick and competent. The grounds quiet and well maintained. One special feature I love is they provide cabinets in the laundry room to securely store your detergent, bleach and fabric softener. My only disappointments is that they stopped excepting UPS & FedEx packages if you are not home because of the liability. I did have a heavy footed neighbor upstairs but the office worked with them to resolve the issue. I highly recommend La Vallita Apartments.
