Property Ratings at La Jolla Park East
Please know your SCRA rights. Tried to deny us from termination of our lease due to new PCS orders and deployment. Provided the correct paperwork. They tried. Nope. We out. Please please know your rights.
These apartments in general have been pretty convenient and affordable to live in. Being a UCSD student, I can easily go to campus on the 41 bus that’s right outside or I can bike it during the rush hour. The apartment is also close to several major freeways such as the 5, 805, and the 52 entrance that is only about a mile away. Having the 2bed and 2bath apartment has been ideal for housing roommates that can accommodate for doubles in each room. We are also thankful to have 2 assigned parking spots, parking available for visitors, and street parking nearby. The apartment is also equipped with amenities such as a dog park, pool, a recently renovated picnic area with grills, and a volleyball court that are always maintained cleaned. Although the on-site laundry is a little pricy and not open after certain hours, I am glad that it has a coin-change machine that makes it easy to get quarters without having to constantly go to the bank. The area is also very safe as I have never had issues like theft of my bike or amazon packages.
As a UCSD student, I have found this place to be ideal for the past 3 years since I moved off-campus. Compared to other apartments in the La Jolla area, this place is definitely one of the more affordable options that can still get you to campus by bus within approx. a 20-minute commute and about 10 minutes by car. The 41 bus stop is also just a 2-minute walk from the apartment complex that takes you straight to campus without the need to transfer buses. Across the street is also a convenient shopping center with a Vons, restaurants, gasoline stations, a Rite Aid, etc. As for the apartments themselves, the rooms are very spacious with plenty of space for storage and large furniture. It also comes with appliances that are in good shape like dishwashers, stoves, microwaves, etc. The parking spots vary with some being large while others are covered by roofs, so it really depends on the luck for which one you get assigned. I have never encountered problems like pests infestations, power blackouts, or rowdy neighbors, and the complex is kept clean by the workers. Teresa, the manager, has always responded quickly to any maintenance issues and occasionally sets up fun events for the community. Overall, my time here has been pleasant and I recommend this place to any student/person looking to rent in the La Jolla community.
La Jolla Park East is a best Community to live in if you love natural beauty. This place is pet friendly as well have children park where your kiddos can enjoy .We have best schools in our neighborhood also.
I have been living here for about 4 years and I never had the chance to complain because the society is so clean and green. Also, we have access to many places and locations like highly rated Schools: curie elementary, university city high, Standley middle school, vons, rite aid, and the library which is very helpful because I can get my books from there easily. We have many places where we can eat like Carl's JR, UC Yogurt, lornarl's Italian kitchen, Subway, and Ahi Sushi. There are salons and activities for kids to do like taekwondo and little artists, The staff has also been very helpful cause they are always trying to keep the society clean. Playground for kids to play in is also available which has swings, sea saw, a slide, and volleyball court, Barbeque is also there in case you wanna do a party outside and not in your house then you can just do it out there. All this credit goes to the manager Teresa for making this society so wonderful, clean and fun.
Here at La Jolla East Apartments, you have access to many places and locations way easier. Places such as UTC Mall, Curie elementary, Standley Middle, University city High, Vons rite aid and last but not least the UCSD.
La Jolla Park East has been an affordable and convenient location to live in. There are two shopping centers close by, which include various eateries, grocery stores, salons, and dentist offices, to name a few. Not too far from the complex is a mall and bus station, where you can find a bus to go anywhere in San Diego. UCSD is a short drive away, making LJPE a great place for students to reside. Management is always super helpful and friendly, and has always responded to any issues that needed to be fixed in the apartment. The rooms are spacious and neighbors are very respectful/quiet. The apartments allow pets, which is a big plus since many apartments in the area do not. With 2 parking spaces included, an on site pool, bbq area, mini dog park, and lush greenery around the complex, you would be missing out if you didn't live at LJPE.
I would say all credit goes to Manager to make the property perfect. She is reachable Any time for resolving any issue if any and resolves issues with no delay. Newly Barbeque area is awesome. All amenities exists in property like kids play area, volleyball ground. I can see staff daily working to make the society clean and perfect. School and departmental store is at walking distance. I recommended the society to my friends also and they also loved it when moved.
First of all thanks to Teresa being a excellent manager for this property, its a pleasure had her around us. Employees really worked hard for keep the property net and clean. School, bus stop, mall, pharmacy r really near by the property which is very convenient. swimming pool, laundry, play ground, barbecue area, pet park all the facilities together just awesome. Most important the security cameras around everywhere in the property which is really magnificent for working parents. Compared to other place rent is convenient. Over all its a excellent place to live with family.
A year into living at this apartment complex has proven how it's affordability and amenities have made living here enjoyable. There is a new barbecue area where event take place such as a Mother’s Day event or an ice cream social. For paying rent, you have the option of signing up online or paying with cash or check at the manager's office. The manager is friendly and tries her best to get problems fixed in a timely fashion, but sometimes it can take a while.
The vintage-looking apartments have a lot to offer for the price. The pool and barbecue area are perfect for summer days. Families can enjoy being near a variety of schools of different grade levels, as well as having the market across the street. The community is friendly and quiet. Management does their best to help you fix a problem in your apartment, however sometimes it takes a while to get things done. There is a laundry room on site with a change machine, since quarters are needed for the washers and dryers. Overall, the apartments are a great place to live, whether you're part of a family or you're a college student.
Living in this apartment from last 4 years and not have much complaint. Location is best for everyone. Biggest thing about this community is closeness to elementary, middle and high school, so best for parents especially for elementary kids as they do not have to even go out of community there is an inside way which opens in school. All shopping place are nearby at walking distance. On premises facilities are good and Manager takes care of any issues. Sometimes it takes little time but it’s done. Apartments are good in size and comfortable.
We moved in a few months ago from New Orleans. Having never been to San Diego and with a small window to move, we were very stressed. The property manager Teresa was so helpful and amazing. She really went the extra mile to make our move as easy as possible. The apartment was clean upon move in. We got one of the new units which has a giant bathroom with a huge bathtub for soaking. The complex grounds are always clean and any maintenance issues are addressed in a timely manner. Our dryer exhaust got disconnected and was repaired the same day we called it in. There are also a lot of dogs in the complex and a great little dog run for them to play. Which is great for families with furry kids. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our new home.
I just moved in and so far it's going great. The new manager is really nice and thoughtful. You can tell she really cares how people are enjoying their homes here. She wants the place to be well kept and maintains the aesthetic of the place and inside the apartments. She is easy to access and is very available through the phone. It is also a 20 min bus ride to UCSD, you take the 41 to and back. It is a block away from Vons.
I've lived here 8 months so far, no issues. Everything is properly maintained. The area itself is necessary, everything you need is near by.
Thank you for accepting me back! I lived here last year and I had to come back! Great location, great manager and staff and I love my apartment! Thank you!
Great place to live! Great schools, center to all freeways, close to mall, school and groceries stores. Apartments colors are different, but great apartments. I love the staff and I am very thankful for the opportunity to live here for the past 2 years.
I have lived here for about a 10 months or so and don't think I have any complains. The apartments are very reasonably price and at 900 sq.ft, are immensely spacious for the apartments in the same price range. The manager is very sweet and helpful and gets the complains resolved fairly quickly. The maintenance crew is very nice and respectful as well. The apartments are currently undergoing some on-site redevelopment and will soon have a gym and a bigger parking space (YESS!!!). Parking spots are very small but I hope this will no longer be an issue with the new parking space. All-in-all, I would surely recommend this place. I would also like to add that the place if mostly small families and in my experience, have all been respectful. This is a lovely place, I would recommend!
The manager will not let the kids play outside without their parents even if they are 14!!!! She does not let the kids go to the pool without their parents. She is NEVER in her office. She says that we are not suppose to go to the pool after 10 but she stays till 11. DO NOT COME TO THIS COMPLEX IF YOU HAVE KIDS BECAUSE THEY ARE GOING TO HAVE NO FUN!!!!!!
Manager onsite avoids you and lies about everything, she's never available and when she is she will keep her door locked and refuse to talk about the availability. Ive had to talk to tenants to get rates and their opinion. I guess the laudry machines never work and they steel your money. The parking is never accounted for and its complete chaos. I would not recommend this complex to anybody. There is no order and simply bad management and no professionalism to address new tenants.
Although the exterior may be less than average, the interior - the people in the apartment complex and the apartment itself - exceeds expectations. Structured favorably for the common financially challenged college student with her peers, this apartment provides: 2 same sized bedrooms for the perfect space distribution, enough storage to fulfill any hoarder's desires, 2 parking spaces per unit, an outside barbecue set, pool/jacuzzi/sauna for the tired and stressed, and even a volleyball court for the physically active.
