This apartment complex has poor management skills.The appliances are either broken or not working properly. They make promises to their tenants that they will have these issues fixed but they don’t. They just ignore you and avoid you. I have emailed/called them constantly and they just ignore my concerns. Stay away from this place you will regret ever coming here.

Hello, I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with one of your appliances. We repair and/or replace all appliances with no charge to the residents. The only time we charge the resident is if we the damage was caused by using the appliance in a manner that it was not meant to. However, this is very rare and I can honestly say in 17 years, I have only charged the resident for a repair once or twice. Sometimes, residents would prefer we replace their appliance with a new one instead of repairing it. Unfortunately, we cannot always replace the appliance unless it is outdated or the repair attempt is unsuccessful. Please feel free to contact me directly to discuss why your appliance is not being repaired to your satisfaction and maybe we can find a solution.
Noisy at night, home wasn't clean when we rented it. Management lied and said everything was brand new and our appliances weren't working. Cockroaches and have homeless picking through trash on property all the time. Very Bad place!

Hello, I'm sorry you're having difficulties while living at La Serena Apartments. Since we walk the apartments with our residents at the time of move in, I'm not sure how the apartment could not be clean at the time of move in, not to mention the appliances not working. However, we do repair and/or replace any appliances that are not working due to no fault of the user. If we need to replace an appliance and it was not broken due to misuse, we do so with no charge to the resident. If you see anyone digging through the dumpsters for recyclables, please feel free to contact the leasing office or the after-hours onsite guard. If you have an infestation in your home, please contact the leasing office immediately. We provide free pest control service, and the pest control technician comes out twice a week. I sincerely hope the information provided can help resolve the issues you have been enduring. If there are any concerns or issues, you are always welcome to stop by the leasing office. We are open 9:am-6:pm, seven days a week. I hope once you help us address these issues, your life at La Serena will greatly improve and you will enjoy your stay with us for many years to come.
This place is SO bad. Better off going somewhere that actually takes care of their property ad their tennants. The garbage is Always overflowing and it attracts so many cockroaches. Stray cats hat are clearly sick live on the property. I've had multiple packages stolen, my car spot always taken, and nothing is done by management. They don't answer their phones or respond to their emails. Instead, they raise their prices every chance they can. Cannot wait to leave. Stay far away from this place.

Hello, I'm sorry you're having difficulties while living at La Serena Apartments. However, I believe I can assist you with resolving most of your complaints. Due to the amount of packages that are ordered these days, the trash bins do tend to fill up quickly. Although we ask our residents to break down their boxes, many tend to disregard this request. Fortunately, the trash bins are located in the parking area and away from our apartment units. We do have our pest control technician treat these areas and I personally have not seen any infestation. If you noticed an infestation at any of the 16 trash bins we have in our parking garage, please notify the leasing office so we can have the pest control technician focus on it. Because La Serena is a garden style property layout (52 eight plexes) seeing cats, squirrels and countless birds is common. The County of Los Angeles Animal Control consider stray cats as wild life and do not come out for them. We do ask residents to avoid feeding them and take legal steps when residents persist. If you are experiencing any personal discomfort due to a stray cat near your apartment unit, please notify the leasing office. We have investigated and resolved issues regarding specific cats going into private patio areas. Unfortunately, theft of Amazon packages is an issue that plagues everyone across the country. For valuable items, we recommend arranging for the delivery to be later in the evening when you are at home, or you can contact the leasing office and ask for us to place the item inside your home. We do not mind doing this on occasions with important packages. If there is an unauthorized vehicle parked in your space, please feel free to contact the towing company that services the property. You will need to provide proof the space is yours. You can either do this by showing the 2nd page of your lease document or obtain a letter from the leasing office confirming this information. I understand the phones lines do get tied up due to so many calls. We recently have gone paperless with our lease contracts and residents are now able to sign their lease online through the resident portal. Unfortunately, many residents are unfamiliar with computers and require the office's assistance is setting up their emails and online accounts. These instructions sometimes take as long as 30 minutes over the phone. All emails sent to the property's email address are responded to within 24 hours. You are also always welcome to stop by the leasing office. We are open daily from 9:00AM to 6:00PM. I hope once you help us address these issues, your life at La Serena will greatly improve and you will enjoy your stay with us for many years to come.
When it rains there’s always leaks doesn’t matter if you live at the bottom. Some how the water manages to reach the bottom apartments. Noisy neighbors that have their kids play outside pass 10pm every night. The security at this place doesn’t do anything they’re never around. The washers and dryers are always broken there’s only a few that work.

the security is a joke, so. many roof leaks (like very severe leaks like so much yellow water inside) ruined my couch, ruined my bed. I literally woke up wet, so gross. ridge and stove aren't included which sucks to move up and down stairs. people here have massive dogs that bark so loud all day and night bc they are just locked on a tiny patio. I only lived here based on price and bc they allowed pets but I wish I would have looked around more.
Lots of questionable structural issues. Our roof leaks in our living room. The countertop sealant makes everything stick to it...it’s like flypaper. The pool is unaccessable. Constant plumbing issues that require the water to be turned off. The “security” gates are broken and left open more often than they are closed. Your neighbors will be the type to: -have an extra broken fridge on your shared landing -have their hoard spill out of their porch and visible for everyone to see -leave their trash outside on their porch until they decide to take it out -have little kids that run around asking you for money -leave shopping carts and empty beer bottles around the complex -leave unwanted furniture/mattresses/various other trash kinda/sorta near the dumpster. (“I tried, right?”) Management will tell you that a non-working toilet is not an emergency because you have a second one (2bed/2bath unit) Moral of the story: spend a little extra to not live here.
Please do research , apartments have an ok price but no one there is happy.
