Property Ratings at La Triumphe Apartments
Apartments are not quite as nice as the photos that are shown. Carpets are very dirty and its basically impossible to get broken items/issue’s with the apartments resolved after you you sign the lease. (They will also not show you the apartment you will be getting prior to signing the lease)
You may be drawn to this apartment because of the price like me. Turn away. This place was built in the 80s, never updated, and it shows. Constant leaks and breakdowns that maintenance drags their feet to replace or fix. Now for the moving out experience. The dishwasher broke 2 weeks before moving out. Maintenance knew. They said they would replace it upon move out. There were six days between the day I moved out and when the next month began. This was a case where I broke the lease early and paid the re-letting fee. For me it was $1025, since they won't say that in writing in your lease. They also hold you responsible for the rest of the lease if they don't find someone to lease to. The market is insane right now. No way they couldn't get interest from someone in the months they had with being notified I was leaving. Maintenance and the office in general, once again, drug their feet and took an extra 9 days to have the apartment ready and charged me an extra 9 days of rent. Security deposit gone, just like that. Don't make the same mistake I did.
Do not assume the office staff or ownership of the property will work in your best interest. Get all communication or agreements with office staff in writing and do not sign anything except for the lease without it first being reviewed by a lawyer. Do not assume information provided to you by the office is consistent with CT landlord-tenant law.
I have lived at La Triumphe for a little over a year and just renewed my lease. The office staff are always nice and maintenance is better now that the guy with red hair left. They respond better and actually complete the work. The building I live in is in good condition and the cleaner does a good job for the size of the building. I think the rent is a little high but I love the controlled access entry and I really love that the trash room and my mail are inside! During my first snow storm here, I could go and get my mail and throw out my trash in my shorts!!! Of, and lastly, I love that the washer and dryer are in each apartment. That is worth the higher rent!
Secluded, quiet, and the right price to keep the rif raf out and still be affordable. If you are looking to get emergent maintenance done in even a reasonable amount of time however, you should keep looking for apartments. It has been exactly one month today that my ceiling started leaking into my living room. Today I sit in that living room listening to water drop into my second bowl on the ground. Other than the lack of concern of fixing issues, this community is pleasant.
loved everthing about la trumph would love to live there
