Lafayette is located in southern Louisiana. It has the rich culture you would expect from a Louisiana town. Also, because it is a college town, it is very much concerned with education. People of all ages, cultures, and personality types will find that Lafayette is a pleasant place to live.
Lafayette has many beautiful neighborhoods. Different people like different areas of the city for their own reasons. However, the south side of the city is typically the most sought after. The area surrounding the University of Louisiana – Lafayette is known as the university area. This area, as well as Lafayette’s Downtown District, is more urban in nature than other parts of Lafayette. It is possible to walk to the school, local restaurants, shops, and art galleries. Broadmore is mostly residential and home to people of many different ages. This is also where the Thomas Park Recreation Center is located. Broussard, Youngsville, and Scott are small cities on the outskirts of Lafayette.

note: the new lady idk her name but she’s wayyy more helpful than anyone else i’ve dealt with, I got more information out of her in a 5 minute phone call than I ever got out of the original receptionist. Nonetheless at first glance this apartment is super nice but AS SOON as you sign the lease boom they never answer the phone, they’re always out of the office for some reason, also if anything is discussed make sure you get it in writing because they’ll turn around and say otherwise. Oh and the amount of ROACHES that came out in my apartment my place was never EVER dirty enough for one roach let alone the tons I would see daily. Also if you plan to move here make sure you inspect the floor boards because they might have little cracks that little worms come through. The gate that you pay so much for is normally broken, the game room is normally locked and the ac in the gym is broken. As soon as I “officially” indicated that I did not want to renew my lease my water just wouldn’t get as hot. Also be careful while driving through because some staff driven golf carts like to pull out in-front of you (after making eye contact with you). And finally the amount of fees to just move out are ridiculous and my final electricity bill is DOUBLE what it normally was. I swear they turned the air all the way down opened the doors and left every light on possible.
1- They have a towing company in the complex if your gust parks the car in the wrong place they tow the vehicle without mercy. 2- You can find a lot of better places at a much lower price. insulation between wall is not good enough. 3- For problems, there is a need to go and ask several times and after that, if it is not serious it is better to forget it because they won't check. 4- I wish I would not rent an apartment from La Veranda

Amenities are either non-existent or not completed. Dog park is fenced in. But no place to sit, no shade, no water source for the dogs to drink. The promised dog wash station has yet to materialize. The pond is stocked with fish and it’s falsely advertised as able to be used for fishing, but it’s padlocked. The playground is nonexistent. The parking lot is a nightmare in the evenings. Management is aware that too few spaces exist. Kate in the front office turns any complaint related issue back on the resident and there is no resolution to many issues. She has a belittling, self righteous tone that is intolerable. For such a pretty setting, it lacks in leadership and fairness. I’d definitely keep looking.

Love, love, love my apartment. I can't say enough good things about the staff here. They are friendly, courteous, professional, etc. Thus far I have no complaints about anything. The only time I heard my upstairs neighbor was from the sound of a hammer when they first moved in. Which leads me to say that I find my apartment very well insulated. Or, maybe I am blessed to have quiet neighbors. I would highly recommend La Veranda to anyone looking for an apartment which they can call home.

No insulation between apartments. Can't enjoy a movie or nice meal with hearing continuous pounding sounds from upstairs. Can hear every footstep. Sounds like a herd of animals playing basketball. Can't get to sleep with all the noise. The manager calls it apartment living. Paying way too much to be so miserable. Haven't had a good night rest since people moved in upstairs. More than just annoying. Extremely loud. No a good choice if you want any quality of life.
