Property Ratings at La Villa Lake - 55 and Better
The apartments are really nice, safe, clean and well maintained. The place is wonderful to rent and stay. I stayed in a one bedroom and the kitchen was very new and modern in style. Maria the landlord was always there to help and I have to say she is super nice and will always help you on whatever you need. No complains on anything just good experiences. Overall, I was very happy with my stay here.
My wife and I moved in here as this was our first apartment together. We were met with great hospitality and care. We rented a one bedroom and made the space work for us. The apartment had brand new, stainless steel appliances and new laminate flooring which made cleaning easy. The insulation inside the apartment was great--never felt like it was too hot or cold even in 100 degree or 40 degree days/nights. Contrary to other reviews, the management team of Maria and Nelson have been fantastic. They truly care about the place and are reasonable people who take pride in what they do. They were quick to respond if there were any issues and were always helpful in answering any questions as well. The neighborhood is fairly quiet and great to walk/jog around. There is a park that is super close by. The best secret is that there is a community lounge that NO ONE uses, that I used as a private office with free wi-fi, coffee, a television, and air-conditioning/heating. Overall, this place is worth the cost and should be an easy decision if you can nail down a walk through with Maria!
Tried multiple times to reach someone in the leasing office, I left voice messages, emails and even went to the office, and I got no response! I guess all the bad reviews about the management are true.
I lived here for about 12 months and relocated for personal reasons. Me and my boyfriend moved from East Coast to here. We had a one bedroom on the first floor. I have to say that this is a great apartment because it is pretty new, and modern. The apartment environment is quiet and clean. I felt really safe here and feel safety walking my dog alone at night. One of the most brilliant things about Lavilla lake is that they are pet friendly. There is a courtyard in the apartment and you can put your dog unleash here as long as you clean up your pet's waste. People are mostly friendly. Maria and Nelson are really nice. They care about this apartment. I really can feel that they tried their best to This was my first apartment to myself, I had a studio on the first floor a few doors down from Nelson and Maria. It wasn't glamorous but it had everything that I needed. I felt really safe here and they were always cordial and helpful. Maria was always responsive and they even cancelled their weekend plans once to help me out when my garbage disposal was clogged (since I was in the studio it would have stunk up the place if they hadn't). Even when I ended my contract early, they were very clear about the entire process. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay here
I lived here for about 9 months and relocated for personal reasons. This was my first apartment to myself, I had a studio on the first floor a few doors down from Nelson and Maria. I lived here for a year and was planning to renew but the prices wasn’t reasonable at all especially for a studio. Management isn't friendly at all. So quickly for you to sign the 1 year apartment lease; but once you sign... she doesn't care at all. - Rent is expensive especially for a studio. - There is a monthly parking fee but no point when someone parks on your spot. One time a cleaning service parked at my spot and I have mentioned to Management and it seemed she didn't care and smiled. - There is also a fee of having pets. Which was great until there are times I see other people don't tend to pick up or clean. I have decided to not extend my stay because if i decide to rent I rather go somewhere else. They are quick to add extra charges of touch up paint when the year I was there I didn't hang any artwork or anything. Quickly add new deductions. So before staying or deciding to stay here I suggest you look elsewhere. Good luck!
I've lived here for almost a year now and it is quiet, I feel safe, the landscaping is maintained, and the laundry rooms as well as the common areas stay clean! Nelson and Maria are kind and try their best to make sure the tenants are supported too. I definitely plan to renew my lease!
I just renewed my lease for another year and I haven't had anything to complain about. Building manager has always responded on time for any question or comment I've had. One day I needed to have a small repair on the smoke alarm and it didn't take more than one day to have it fix. Besides rent going up i still consider it reasonable in the area. I have an assigned parking space on the non gated parking and i haven't had any issue parking my car there. All appliances are new and the apartment in general is well maintained.
I've lived at La Villa Lake for a little more than a year, recently renewing my lease for another year. I don't have any significant complaints. Management is attentive and timely. Parking spaces are limited at La Villa Lake -- they have additional spaces at an adjacent lot but it is not gated.
We love our apartment here and just renewed our lease. We have not had any problems with management and things always get done quickly. One time, the laundry machine ate my $1.25 and i mentioned it to management, and a week later, I had a check in the mail for $1.25 from the laundry company! I was surprised something even that small was taken into consideration and taken care of. Yes, rent did go up, and it is not the cheapest place, but for Pasadena, we believe it is reasonable enough to stay. It is beautifully renovated and the appliances are new and functioning. We really cannot complain:)
I like this apartment. The building is beautiful. The environment is clean. Maria and her husband are so nice !
i lived here for a year and a half and prices just kept rising. new expenses would be added and the landlord is short tempered. Id hear my neighbors fighting every night, trash would be left in the hallways, and the laundry machines are a joke. the studio is very small, i wouldn't recommend it for a couple.
I lived here for a number of years. At first the rent was reasonable and utilities were included. Ownership changed and rent increased and paid utilities were removed from the rent. For the price of a one bedroom here, I found a more spacious two bedroom nearby. Plus the management isn't great. Doesn't seem like they have the tenants best interest at heart.
Everything looks very good, I just relocated from Chicago and I havent been able to find anyhting that is suitable and reasonable in price until I came across La Villa Lake!!! Also its so convenient and its next to several great shops and food places for your enjoyment I'm excited to be living in this wonderful community! THANKS LA VILLA LAKE APARTMENTS!!!!
