Mold everywhere hurricane causes damage to the apartment and they tried to make me pay for it at move out. They tried to make me pay the full months rent at the end and lied about it in the letter the sent me. They lie and cheat to get their way. Again DO NOT RENT HERE!

Been here for 2 years and it's been awful, they don't fix anything broken, did nothing about the black mold growing or the water leaking into my unit. I feel very unsafe here as there are gunshots 2 to 4 nights a week. highly don't recommend this place.

If you have a problem with something in your apartment they won't come and fix it. They only have 2 maintenance guys working for over 300 units. There was also a murder that took place in this complex. I fear for my life here. Not a good place to live. We are moving out.
The worst place. They don’t follow up on their agreement on lease when it says “quiet time” bc they allow other tenants to drink all night on the stairs. They don’t take care of the back outside apartments. Trash everywhere!! Disgusting. We will not be renewing our lease. You can get cheaper rent else where and with washer and dryer!! Ask to see the laundry room before you sign anything lol. Should tell you how the rest is.
We have a new office staff and they are fantastic!! I had a work order and they came and fixed it quickly. I see they have people cleaning up the outside too! I love it and will be renewing my lease. Thank you!

It seems that people like the first expression but once you'd lived here and experience the lack of service, then you'll understand. Tho he don't get fixed here they waste our time with fast fixed and really doesn't get fixed. They say they've closed the work order but really doesn't get fixed. I can't tell you how many times they've changed managers and agents. I have had a mild problem for what's look like more than a year. And had not been resolved. They keep saying they are doing their best we'll its NOT.!!! They are very strict on rent but why Do we continue to pay if things are not getting done and I call the office I don't get an answer I've experienced to have to call about 100x to get someone. They really don't care. They cover up by saying they are working hard and trying. Really they are only focusing on getting people in and lieing to people. They don't take things serious.
DO NOT RENT HERE! They will charge you an application fee and they will take your money from you and not give you any reason! We feel that they ROBBED my Son of $150 application fee. Jennifer in the Office was a complete rude and nasty person! She hung up on me when I called. I will be getting an Attorney as I have heard that they do this to other people! SHAME ON THEM for taking money from people who cant afford to be taken from! WARNING to all . . . Go someplace else if you want a fair shake, imho this place is full of crooks! SAVE YOUR MONEY and dont get ROBBED by this Apartment Complex!
I have been living at Channelside Apartments since 2013. Back then, the staff were all nice and cared about the property. The grounds were well kept, the pool used to be open, there wasn't trash everywhere. The sprinklers haven't been working for the longest time, so instead of grass there is just dirt everywhere! New residents do whatever they want to and get away with it because management does not care. The are shopping carts outside our building. Also, our neighbors trash the building. They leave beer cans everywhere, have splashed the hallways with some black liquid which I already cleaned once because no one else would and they just did it again. Angie, the manager, doesn't do anything about the trashy neighbors, and she's also been rude to me and other people living in the complex. One day I went to the leasing office because I needed to add someone to my lease and Angie tried to kick me out saying that I wasn't supposed to be there taking her leasing agent's time because she just assumed that I was there chatting. She even made the leasing agent show her that she was actually working on my lease and not just talking. She yells and curses in front of residents. She also forces leasing agents to speak only English to ALL residents, knowing very well that a lot of people who live at Channelside DO NOT understand/speak English. She's also said many times that she's not there to help anyone. She's just plain rude! She's also refused to renew resident's lease claiming that their file went missing. HOW is a file just gonna go missing? Someone's information (including SS number) is in there, and she just lost it? In addition, the laundry room has pieces of broken glass all over it because someone broke one of the windows, BUT NO ONE CARES! The fence around the lake has been bent for months now. Also, sign around the whole complex (including STOP signs) are down. Like I said, I have been living here since 2013 and the complex had NEVER been so dirty or management so horrible. The ONLY good thing about this place is Karen, the leasing agent, who's always willing to help, and the maintenance crew.

Moved down here to Fort Myers after getting a job. Looked around and saw that lago del sol was in a great location, and well kept throughout the month. Not knowing anyone, the staff did their best to make the move easy. thank you karen for being nice and care about people you don't even know. The area is safe, and within a good distance of shopping, and the beach. Would recommend you give lago a try!

I've moved in 5 months ago, the pool have not open and we are in July! they lie to me saying is being fixed to open next week and this was when i was applying for the apartment. I totally believed them when their so dishonest. I been having aunts problems since i moved in and every time i make a call they only came once out of 5 times i called. the roof of my son room is falling in a small area, called two times no one haven't came to take a look or fix it along with my master bedroom bathtub, who ever remodel the apartments didn't do a great job at all!!! the bathtub was spray painted ( yes what a joke) when I called the office to explain they acted as if they didn't know what i was talking about, I cant even take a bath in my own bathtub. called about 4 times and nothing was done yet. thank gob I'm leaving soon. I do not recommend this place at all.
I have nothing positive to say about this place. I fell for the bait and switch of the low rates and the demo room they showed us was impressive. The reality is a place getting increasingly seedy even as the rates skyrocket with no added value. Pest control is a joke, good luck getting any help from the office for anything, and don't expect them to do anything about the obnoxious music constantly blaring or the obvious drug dealing going on. They close the office frequently so that the kids of the employees can swim, or just because they feel like it.
Moved in in October and by December the place was infested with sugar and carpenter ants. Those went away and have now come back with their roach friends. The exterminators maybe will maybe won't come out. Maintenance isn't helpful and the people in the office couldn't care less about you. I do not recommend moving here.
CONS: * not up front about move out costs - will charge $69 rug clean, $155-$310 painting fee (no exceptions)* - cost went up considerably for the units even if not renovated * neighborhood has had some shootings and muggings, look up in the papers and online news 2015 - pool is too crowded when open, closes randomly due to unknown reasons ,my guess urine - loud noises echo across the lake (parties every weekend) - will not offer copies of leases and have to insist , i feel it is deliberate since no legal recourse without it * the trash bins fill up so fast and smell terrible - lots of litter for some reason on the grass, in the lake, in the parking lots * the AC units are filthy,found mold and mildew in mine after filling ill - I needed to clean window frames every 2 months since mold growth was there too - they say monthly extermination, but not in my place,i had to treat myself for roach and carpenter ants (outside and inside) - I tested the water - you need more than a standard filter, I got a water cooler for the house

this apartment I lived here for 3 years at first we thought we struct Gold. Then it became a disaster they moved hoods next to us and the noise level was unbearable. The walls were so thin when my brother n law would play his music it felt like a theatre was inside my bedroom. The parking sucked it would be so packed sometimes that you would have to park ways away from your apt door. Scary in the dark. Meanwhile the building was going under construction, so I work at night and well you know what its like to coke home in the AM with no sleep and you hear drills on your roof? ???? it killed me. On top of that anytime you call maintenance they give you the run around and it takes forever to hear back from them. a year ago we renewed our lease and they said a carpet cleaning would come with it . a whole year later the carpet still wasn't clean
Due to a recent management change the complex is be is becoming run down fast. Up until a year ago it was a reasonably priced, nice place to live. Now rent is going up very fast and loud parties are common. Management refuses to do anything about the situation. At the end of my lease I will be moving, and not a day to soon.
They moved us into an apartment with roaches in it and it took almost 9 months for them to get them all out. All of the neighbors blast music all threw out the night and Noone does anything about it. There was a man walking his daughter to school and he was robbed at gun point the office posted papers stating they would double security but there was never security and there is still no security 4 months later. I do not recommend living here in Lago del sol
When I moved in almost four years ago there was a different management team here. They cared about the residents and did what they could to make you happy. Since then they complex was bought out and with it new management. They now only do what they have to and no more and the class of people was declined. My room mate and I are both disabled and live on small pensions. The rent is getting higher after each lease term ends and drugs and parties are common. We are trying right now to find a place that we can afford and enjoy living at.
these apartments are cheap, and the pool has been closed since we moved in. The affordability is what drew us here. The good thing is it's close to the beach.
