Property Ratings at Lake Pointe Village
Oldest complex in town with astronomical prices for archaic and malfunctioning units. Management is laughable. Amenities are nonexistent. They cut corners and it shows.
Expensive rent for prehistoric and archaic apartments built 1000 years ago with old appliances falling apart.
I have absolutely nothing negative to say about these apartments. I have lived in many apartments over the years and this is, by far, the best out of all of them. Everyone in the office is so kind; they put together community events, they love our fur baby, and this Christmas they "adopted" a few teens for the community to give a Christmas to. I have never lived in a place so giving. Plus, this is a perfect location - you are right by everything and don't have to deal with very long traffic jams! This is a very stress free place with a beautiful view and we really can't say enough good things about it. Maintenance is also wonderful, very fast and always very kind! Highly, highly recommend this beautiful place.
Love love love this place. The people in the office go above and beyond to ensure you are placed in an apt that suits your needs. Their level of communication is the best I have ever experienced. I just can't say enough. Absolutely love the woodsy setting.
My husband and I are building a house and needed to secure a temporary place to live for one year. We met Annette and Susan and they couldn't have been kinder to us. We live in a small apartment on Boardman Lake and our experience has been outstanding. All staff have been so kind, courteous and accommodating, including Matt in maintenance. The environment is beautiful and we are fortunate to live so close to the trail where we can enjoy biking in the summer. I have not lived in an apartment for over 30 years and I feel blessed that we live in a lovely place surrounded by wonderful people. Thank you for a fantastic year Lake Pointe Village associates.
I was looking at moving to Traverse City from the Detroit Metro area and had to do quite a lot of looking from a far. I must say that as soon as I connected with Annette and Susan at Lake Pointe Village, I knew I was home. Even moving in from a distance, they worked with me in so many ways to make my application and paper-work clear and easy to complete. I even rented sight-unseen, as I trusted them and their process. I would say that this move couldn't have been better, and their ability to really work to get me in my new 'home' apartment was above and beyond anything I could have expected. I doubt any other location would have done as much to make me feel at home, and accepted. The location is perfect as it is close to everything, on Boardman Lake and right on the TART trail. I have not lived here long, but if you base a neighborhood on the people who call it home, I am glad to live here. The neighbors are always introducing themselves, and are friendly, with many being long-time residents that says a lot for the property. Thank you Annette and Susan...and if you are looking to move in, and are lucky enough that they have availabilty, you can't go wrong.
This apartment complex was absolutely amazing!! The management was always helpful and understanding of my wants and needs as a tenant. This was my first experience living away from home (4 hours to be exact) and I was extremely happy with the decision I made to stay at Lake Pointe. I instantly felt at home. The location as perfect in every way. Only 2 miles from downtown, the mall, the airport, etc. I highly recommend this complex to anyone looking to rent in the beautiful TC area. Thank you for the last year that I spent with you, LPV! It will always be a wonderful memory that I will look back on and cherish.
I appreciate that any and all maintenance requests are handled quickly by Matt and his staff. I also appreciate the clean sidewalks in the morning after a snowfall. I love the proximity to town with the TART trail. The residents are friendly.
The complex is extremely quiet with not much traffic. The management team in the office is stellar. They are so nice and very helpful. I highly recommend this complex to anyone looking to rent.
I lived in a second floor one bedroom lake view apartment for a year and it was the most quiet and peaceful place I have every rented. It has a private feel but neighbors are friendly and respectful. The women that work in the office are very sweet and helpful and any maintenance requests are attended to within a couple days at the most. I was so grateful for my time here and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something close to town but love the nature vibes... the lake view is definitely worth it!
What a beautiful location! Close to woods, TART, Boardman Lake, and downtown Traverse City! I have been here for almost 6 years, and I love it here! The first thing I do every morning is open up all my windows facing the woods and lake to enjoy my beautiful view with my morning coffee! If it's nice outside, I can sit in my comfy lawn chair on my patio facing the lake! It is the best of Traversity living! Neighbors are friendly, management is thoughtful, and grounds and maintenance staff are top-notch!
We have lived here for over two years and are still amazed by the beauty of the property. The property is located right on the shore of Boardman lake nestled in its own small forest. The staff here is attentive and friendly and all of our neighbors are quiet and considerate. The boardman lake trail lles right behind the property and makes it incredibly easy to go for a nice long peaceful walk. So far we have no complaints!
We have enjoyed our time here. It is quite and the staff is helpful, always a smile and ready to meet your needs. Maintenance staff is right there whenever needed with a smile a wave or a laugh. Love the trails with or without the snow. It is beautiful year around. Neighbors are great and we feel safe. I highly recommend Lake Pointe Village Apartments.
We have live at Lakepointe for 2 1/2 years while house hunting in the area. Our 2 bedroom unit is spacious for 2. Laundry room was very convenient. The complex is quiet trouble free. Annette and Susan were always helpful and responsive to our requests. Matt, the head of maintinence was quick to respond to any issues and respectful of our privacy, we had a minimum of problems, ALL were resolved quickly. The grounds are maintained well and the walking trails are beautiful. Short term or long term, this is a nice place to live. Linda and Jim
This is my second time living at Lake Pointe Village, this time it is much nicer. I have a second floor lake view and it is the best. I never get tired of looking out my windows at the lake. :)
Lake Pointe Village apartments are a great place to live. The buildings and grounds are well maintained year round. Maintenance issues in my apartment have always been handled in 24 hours or less, and the maintenance guys are always courteous and professional. In unit laundry is a huge perk, I love being able to do laundry on my schedule and not having to share with other tenants. Perfect size apartment and has lots of storage. Great place to call home!
Lake Pointe Village is a beautiful apartment complex. My family enjoys the nice amenities including the fitness center, pool, and the gorgeous view of the lake. The staff are very helpful and quick to respond to any need. I couldn't have selected a better place to call "Home". Thank you L.P.V!!
I've been at Lake Pointe for a little over a year now. Our apartment is clean, quiet, and has just enough space for two people and a dog to live happily! A nice wooded facility with an amazing staff! The few issues I've encountered have been dealt with swiftly and professionally. The walkways and parking lots are well maintained in the winter. These apartments may be on the pricier side, but the are well worth it if you can afford them! I will really miss them when the time comes to move on!
I moved here in August. The staff is super friendly and accommodating to any needs. Maintenance is super fast and accommodating. The amenities are great! The views from the apartments are incredible. The lake and walking path are just an extra bonus. I would recommend these apartments to anyone in the market.
We have lived here for several years. The office staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Maintenance is not often needed but when we have called, they have responded quickly and professionally. We have never had any issues with noise or neighbors. We have a beautiful view of the lake especially since they have trimmed the trees well. It is a great place to have a small dog because of the trail and areas to walk. It is a little expensive although Traverse City apartments do tend to be somewhat pricey. We are glad that we chose Lake Pointe Village.
I have lived at Lake Pointe for 6 months and have found all employees helpful, friendly, courteous and professional. Requests for service have been handled promptly. At Christmas residents were invited to a 'get-together' at the Club House, an opportunity to meet other residents. Neighbors are friendly and there is a nice mix of young people, a few families, and senior citizens. Being near the boardwalk on Boardman Lake is a bonus to living here. I only have two wishes: that there were good insulation in the outside walls and especially a sound barrier between the first and second floors; and, as a senior, it would be so helpful to have the streets cleared down to the pavement in the winter because just plowing leaves the street very slick for walking to the carport. I love my apartment and living at Lake Pointe!
I have been living at Lake Pointe Village for almost two years in a one bedroom apartment. What my apartment lacks in usable square footage, it makes up for in some great walk-in closets that provide me with ample storage. Maintenance service is prompt. The apartments are well kept, and more updated than some I've lived in in the past- tile floors in the bathrooms, cream walls, but nice white trim, a deck that is maintained a couple of times throughout the year. Lake Pointe has always been extremely helpful and understanding with any issue, and have been consistantly friendly and flexible. The best feature though has got to be the access to the TART trail system. A great, mostly paved trail, runs past the apartment along Boardman Lake. It's great for running, and biking, and connects easily to downtown. I often run on the trail, ride my bike to pick up groceries, or to a nearby craft brewery. I can also kayak all along the lake, and a couple breweries are quite near the lake which allows for a really fun summer afternoon bar hopping via the water. While it's pricier than some other options that have been presented to me from friends and family, I choose to stay here mostly because of the trail and lake access, and because of the friendly service. Nothing beats coming home to birds chirping and the air smelling like pine trees. I'll honestly be sad to leave when that time comes.
Moved to TC last fall and have not only loved the city, but have loved living at Lake Pointe Village apartments! The location is awesome: close to the mall, downtown, and the college! Everyone in the leasing office is super nice and helpful as well! It is not the cheapest place to live, but with the trails/ lake and everything else so close it is for sure worth it!
Beautiful area if you are looking for a little peace and quiet. Minutes from downtown Traverse City with a relaxing feel. Nice and quiet apartments. Pros: quiet, near walking trails, walkout doors and feels like home. Cons: too pricy for units, needs upgrading inside the apartments (outdated), treat you like a number rather than a person and staff not very friendly. Other than that we loved it the two years we were here until they did not give us an option to release. Disappointed in customer service.

Living in LP Village is like living in a park, right in the middle of Traverse City. The Boardman Lake is fantastic for kayaking & paddle boarding and fishing, with a sail boat school at the north end of the lake. The Tart trail is right outside our doorstep, and with a pool and exercise room we're set! My apartment is AMAZING, with vaulted ceiling and new appliances and countertops and a great new balcony looking over the lake. I LOVE living here!! Everyone is so friendly, the property is maintained beautifully, and Susan and Annette in the office are wonderful to work with. Matt (head maintenance man) is so prompt and professional that you never have to wait if you're locked out accidentally, or need any repair. A beautiful social room is also available for gatherings, and has a gorgeous view and fireplace. There's also a grill and patio next to the pool for gatherings. This is definitely a residence of quality. I love it here!!
I have lived at LPV about a year & am very satisfied with everything about Lake Pointe Village. I relocated from down state & took several months looking & inquiring about apartments in the area. The office staff were very patient with me while I asked questions after questions & never pressured me to make a choice one way or the other. The maintenance is excellent, Matt & Bill are always cheer full as well efficient. A bonus is the availability to always find a safe place to walk along with a neighbor or friend. DJS
I was living in southern Florida and was relocating to TC for my job. I worked directly with Annette and felt so welcome. Annette answered every question I had, as it is not easy to actually agree to a lease living 26hrs away and only relying on the pictures I was sent via email. It was the best decision ever! I was happy the minute I walked in my new apartment door. My apartment was so clean and my view of the lake is impeccable. I feel as though I am on vacation it is so peaceful yet I'm only minutes from my job downtown. Over the years I've lived in various apartments and I can tell you, this has been the best. I know I have made the right decision moving into Lake Pointe. Tranquility at its finest!
This is a gem, hidden right north of downtown. The residents are great and the management allows bikes, kayaks, and gardens! Kitchens, however, are a little too small. Some apartments overlook the lake! On lake trail. Not inexpensive, but worth the money if you can afford it.
