As Baton Rouge's oldest neighborhood, the historic Spanish Town dates back to 1805. With historic architecture that includes homes from 1823, Spanish Town is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This downtown neighborhood is home to an eclectic mix of artists, musicians, actors, business people, and students. The city's largest Mardi Gras parade is held in Spanish Town.
A downtown neighborhood, Spanish Town begins just south of Arsenal Park and includes State Capitol Park. The neighborhood extends south to Main Street and includes Spanish Town Road. This beautiful, tree-filled neighborhood is very pedestrian-friendly, and sidewalks are lined with shade trees that often form a canopy over the road.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Lake Towers
Living here was by far the worst experience ever. 18 months of hell. We couldn’t wait to get out. 1. Whenever something broke or went wrong in the apartment they were slow to fix it. 2. Our ac unit never worked properly, it had to be set at 70 to 75 degrees otherwise it would freeze over and leak. 3. An outlit in our kitchen, from the moment we moved in did not work, we promptly notified the management, they fixed it about 5 or 6 months later. 4. Our refrigerator constantly leaked no matter what settings we put it on. 5. From day 1 our garbage disposal sounded like it was grinding up nails 6. The elevators are constantly broken. 7. There’s new management people what seems like every few months or so. 8. The other tenant have zero consideration for your car. My car had so many scratches. 9. The “gate” is hardly ever closed, so much so that our neighbor at the time caught a group of people breaking into cars in the parking lot. 10. The dumpsters are always gross. It’s like people don’t know how to put trash into the actual dumpster, and would rather leave it all around the dumpster. 11. When it got cold and we tried to turn the heat on it would set off our fire alarms. So we had to deal with the cold. Now these are just a few examples as to why this place is garbage. For the price they charge, you can get so much better. I DO NOT recommend this place.

I’ve been living at Lake Towers for almost two years now. I’ve had only good experiences here; all of the landlords that I’ve met have been friendly, and most tenants are nice and quiet. One of the main reasons I moved here is because it’s close to downtown and in a secure location (eg. gated apartment complex with onsite police officer). I’d recommend this place to anyone who wants spacious living conditions that are affordable and close to downtown Baton Rouge.

Hi! Thanks for letting us know how much you enjoy living with us at Lake Towers! We are thrilled to hear about your exceptional experience, and we are glad to have you as our resident!
Though I ultimately didn't choose lake towers as my home the pregnant leasing agent was the nicest leasing agent I had ever come into contact with! Reading reviews about the staff put me off at first, but then I got there her smiling face and positive attitude changed my mind immediately. If these were in my price range I definitely would have chosen these apartments because of the great experience.
Lake towers is seriously the best! Never had any problems and the downtown Baton Rouge environment is amazing. Nothing but great things to say for this whole year I've been here!
