Property Ratings at Lakeshore Village
Office staff is amazing, maintenance is the best I ever dealt with. If I ever had something wrong in my house the staff never hesitated not to fix it, they would come out the same day and got it fixed. I have seen them go over board for their residents. I loved that they had family functions, bbq, movie nights, and festivals. My move out was easy, I got my deposit back, they did charge me a fee for a carpet clean but that’s common sense to get charge after leaving. I would highly recommend it, it might be pricy but totally worth it!
We lived at lakeshore for 2 years. The community was quiet and nice, along with the managers. Our unit would get so hot in the summer due to the cracks in the doorways and the windows as well. We were promised wood flooring before we moved in (mind you two years ago) and never received it. The people behind us had an unexpected situation where their water heater busted causing water to come all the way to out hallway, effected both rooms and bathrooms. We had to move out furniture off the floor, and the carpet was up with multiple fans. We were promised a carpet clean once dry and never received it. Upon moving out, they charged us for basic cleaning, which I personally did myself. Sweeping and moping and vacuuming, etc. Out of the 400 deposit we put, we got nothing back bad they charged for the basic cleanings and other things which added up to exactly $400. If I knew we would get nothing back, I wouldn't have cleaned at all. I would understand if I trashed the place, but we left it exactly how we got it. They ripped us off, and I will never consider going back. I will also recommend it any friends/family moving here that this place IS NOT worth it!!! Beware people, they are crooks.
I have lived at Lakeshore Village going on 7 years and under several managers. The current manager, Chris, is very dependable, fair, and has undertaken several projects to enhance the complex. He has "spruced" up the entrance road to the complex by planting flowering bushes along the median, has made the complex office more welcoming and pleasant with beautiful plants and decorations for the various holidays, and has created a nice plant arrangement that individuals experience upon leaving. He puts out an informative monthly newsletter, holds holiday activities for the children, is attempting to show outdoor movies with snacks on a monthly basis depending on the weather and participation. All in all, the complex has improved significantly and I'm confident that new innovations for the enjoyment of the residents will continue. Many thanks to the complex manager and administrative secretary for their great customer service and friendliness! Your management style is much appreciated. It makes the complex an enjoyable and comfortable place to call home. (I just had to take out the names of the staff as instructed by the Terms of Use agreement, but I'm confident that the reader will know of whom I speak.....................)
The morning we were supposed to move in (July 31, 2015), I received a call from one of the office ladies informing me that our unit was not ready and wanted to know if we could reschedule. I told her that it was absolutely unacceptable since I would have to extend my existing lease, as well as reschedule with cable and utilities. We negotiated that we would be allowed to move in that night at 7PM. When we moved in, the toilets were absolutely filthy (literally looked like somebody had defalcated and left it sitting there for weeks in each toilet), several items from the previous tenant (such as 2 dozen bottles of Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce), the "new renovation" involved laying cheap laminate over the existing tile, and just overall a total dump. The only thing that was in good shape was the carpet. We decided to keep moving stuff in throughout the evening. At about 11 PM, the cleaning crew showed up to clean up the unit. I lost my temper , but at that point, was too exhausted to do anything else. Later through our lease, we had learned that the previous manager was horrible and the office/new manager (Chris Sredanovich) ensured us that they were going to turn the place around. The biggest complaint we had while living there was our neighbors' dogs were constantly left outside unsupervised and barking non-stop. Despite several warnings in community newsletters and several complaints, absolutely NOTHING was done. Near our move out date, rain had flooded the carpet of the ENTIRE unit. Since my roommates and I had moved most of our stuff out by then, we weren't aware of the flooding and noticed it a couple of days later. When I contacted the office, they assured us that we would not get charged for the cleaning/replacement of the carpet since it was beyond our control. Today, I received the final account statement and noticed that we were not only charged for the carpet (which, according to them, was "left very dirty and stained"), but literally everything else that we had cleaned, leaving us with NO deposit left over. I am absolutely dissatisfied with the office staff and Mr. Sredanovich's behavior. While I thought having a new staff would mean change, this is absolutely not the case. I will NEVER recommend this location to anybody looking for a place to live. It's extremely far from everything (excluding the lake and the airport) and is overpriced for what you have to deal with. Find a rental house in town or a large apartment.
With the new management Chris, and Deanna, they have done so much good things! They actually care for the residents! Doing a lot of changes to make Lakeshore Village a better place! So glad they got rid of the other manager! Living here is so calm!
