Property Ratings at Lakeside at the Sanctuary
The property manager Tess lied and said if my credit was bad that I could apply with a co signer. Not only was that a lie but she didn’t have basic human respect to notify me. Avoid this place and plaza properties.

Hello. Although we appreciate most feedback, we are very disappointed about yours. We'd be happy to clear up any misunderstandings about your concerns. Please give us a call at (614) 662-4022 when you have a moment. Thank you.
This apartment complex has many issues. Our electric bills in the winter would be over $500 because of very poor insulation, and you could feel a draft coming from every window and the door. We had neighbors who argued well into the night, screaming at the top of their lungs. There were times where parking was hard to come by. If we were already using our carport spot, we had to park the other car on the other end of our street. A couple times they sent out letters to everyone only 24 hours in advance saying they were doing maintenance on the carports and parking would get even worse. Our basement flooded at one point as well. I do NOT recommend living here, especially because of the heating bill. I’m glad to be out of there.

We're disappointed that you're left feeling frustrated about your time in our community. We always want our residents to feel welcome and comfortable at home. Unfortunately, parking is limited to the space we have, and we are happy to be able to offer carport spots to our residents. We aim to be open in our practices, and we appreciate your feedback. We look forward to sharing an excellent experience with our residents.
Oh where do I start? First off, my apartment looked and smelled terrible when I moved in. I've lived here for about 2 months now and can't wait to get out. The staff is so rude, especially the property manager. Yikes! This company needs to get it together, looks good from the outside but the inside needs major work. Will definitely NOT be renewing.
I've lived in a two bedroom apartment here for 2 years already, and I'll be honest, I have absolutely no idea what these other reviews are even saying... I've never had an electric bill over 60$, maintenance has always been fast, clean and friendly, and when i moved in, my apartment was perfectly clean. The neighborhood has a lot of families and is clean and safe. Also, the office staff, Michelle, Melanie, and Kelly have always been nothing short of absolutely lovely to me. So, not sure what happened to these other renters, but my experience has always been great, so much to the point, that I'm actually getting married and we're moving into a townhome here because I liked the area so much. So, take it from me if nothing else, some of these reviews seem a little biased like something very specific may have happened to them? Not sure.

We love that you've had such a good experience at Lakeside at the Sanctuary these past two years! Our team is happy to help make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible, and we're pleased to hear that you have had good interactions with both our maintenance and office staff. Congratulations on your wedding! We hope to see you around for years to come!
Due to lack of communication from the office staff we over paid on our rent and now they are refusing to credit us close to the $1000 we overpaid. Moving out has been a nightmare and rip off! While living here for almost two years we had constant electrical issues, electric bills close to $400 due to poor insulation, and a leaky basement. The apartments and amenities are outdated. I recommend living some where they treat their residents better.
The apartments are really nice. However the staff are rude! They double charge you for every little thing, they mail water bills late causing you to be late causing an unesarry late fee. My electric bill is over 300.00 every month. I haven’t been here a year yet and I’m read to go! Trust the reviews!!!!!
I would not recommend living at Lakeside. We have been tenants for two years and went to give our notice and now have to pay an additional month since it was within 60 days of lease ending. Our renewal letter came after the 60 day mark and no notice was given prior to this about the 60 day notice policy. Within the 2 years we have been accommodating on the electrical issues, water leaking and never complained about our electric bill being over $300 due to poor insulation and drafty doors, but they were not willing to work with us on a 45 vacate notice or prorate the last month. The amenities are outdated and so are the apartments.
looking at the rates and the images , i took this house , but its very dirty, i understand that its very old house , but its very very very dirty , bath tub they dont clean , they dont check anything whether its working or not , i had to literally contact them 5 times in 5 days of me coming here , after i moved here , they repaired few stuffs which can be done , but other things like bath tub it had lot of stains , some black black stuffs , i literally puked looking at it , i complained them , the staff people say that they will clean first day and later they say no cleaning person is available so u clean it by yourself , is this the way they respond ? i will also leave the house as it is dirty while leaving i said , they are ok with it ....if they charge fine while leaving i will sue them , this is the proof of message i am leaving as a review to them , hope they see it .... guys just to tell you , house is old but the things are also old and unclean , because of the two staffs here in the community they are so irresponsible behavior you should have to make sure before coming .
Great value for the amount of space you are getting. Staff was willing to work with me on my lease when i needed a short extension. Nice quiet neighborhood, good location, overall good experience in my 4 years here. Good prices on all apartment offerings.
I am staying with husband in Lakeside 1 Bedroom apartment from past 1 year. We chose to move to Lakeside as the apartment was fulfilling my basic needs i.e its spacious enough specifically kitchen(atleast for the rent charged in Columbus Ohio) and have patio (again very rare in Columbus Apartments). Along with this, they have mostly renovated all there units with new appliances and carpet. Staff is nice and utility charges are very genuine. In winters , they clean the roads inside community and and in summers green area around apartments is also maintained very well. The only drawback i see that the apartments near to road or track do get the noise . But that's again its common in all apartments nearby. But at the end i am happy being here.
Move here if you want to be miserable. These people are JERKS. I have lived here for 3 years, and am finally moving out this year. Sure no deposit is nice, but guess what? You WILL have 400 electric bills for ONE MONTH. They will double charge you! The office staff is TERRIBLE. Seriously the worst. Good luck EVER getting phone calls back. They talk bad about their tenants, to other tenants. Also, cars are getting vandalized in the parking lots (and they act like they have no idea its going on) but they wont even fix the light bulb in the parking lot so its pitch dark at night - morning. Never any parking, I really could go on and on about this place. Take my word/advice, dont waste your time or money moving here. By far the worst place I have ever rented from. Worst most rudest staff are Meagan (the manager) and her little helper The male one.
I moved in a little over a month ago. It is a very nice apartment. My dog Sophie and I like it a lot. The people working in the office are very nice. They take care of any problems quickly. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to rent an apartment. They also have a beautiful pool, workout room, and nice pond with a gazebo. Hoping to live here for a long time.
Rent increased due to "growing" market yet the apartments here are long overdue for renovatuons. Upon move in residence originally had a hot tub which was removed without notice. Maitinence takes forever to get anything done. Parking if you live in the front is a joke, and the angle in the front is sure to someday cause an accident. I can't wait to get out of my lease here. Even the staff in the office changes constantly.
So about a year into living here my sister and I discovered we had mice in the apartment. We called and they said the exterminator comes every other week (NOT a good sign) and they would come and set traps. They came and set traps and everything was fine. We were told they would come back to check the traps. Well 3 months later after noticing a large amount of large flies in the basement. Upon further investigation we found three dead mice in the traps that had clearly been there for a while. We immediately called and were told that the exterminator wouldn't be back out for 5 days and were offered no help with the remaining mice. This is just one example of the lack of response from the maintenance and management crew here, I've gone months waiting for windows to be fixed, air conditioning breaks, and we have had $300 electric bills.
I moved in about 2 and a half months ago, I'm very pleased with my apartment! I feel safe and love the homey feeling of the apartment. The office staff could use a bit of cheering up but other than that I couldn't be happier!
