Property Ratings at Lakeside Landing
They start you out at a fair price, then once you’re comfortable they hike up the prices like crazy
This place is terrible from the apartment to the landlord I left so many reviews they want to take it down and leave the good one up so when other rent from here they only see good reviews but once you get here it terrible neighbors constantly make noise and they landlord dont do nothing about it they get mad when you complain about it they care about your money and not you so run from this place it not worth your money or your time
This community is centrally located to almost everything. The apartments are large for the cost, there’s a lot of amenities and fun community events, well there was before Covid. How ever the property manager is very unprofessional in her interactions with tenants. This brings the total value of the property way down. Overall though this is a good community and I can recommend it.
I’m a current resident, have been for the past 2 years and plan to renew for a third this summer. I love the complex overall. The unit I live in, thankfully, is quiet now that my upstairs neighbors have moved out. My only con is that the walls/ceilings are really thin so you definitely hear all the creeks, music from other apts and if someone is talking loud enough, you can pretty much hear their conversation. There’s also an issue with some neighbors not picking up their dog’s poop but overall, the office staff is very nice and helpful and the location is very convenient.

Hello there, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us this feedback. If you have any further questions, please give us a call. We're always happy to help!
My boyfriend and I are currently residents here. I don’t have many complaints about the inside of the apartment itself, it’s nice on the inside and it functions. My problem is that whenever you ask management to do anything it takes them days to carry it out, IF they do. There’s been numerous times where they tell me that they’ll do something, that never gets done until I call again to remind them of what they said they would do. They provide dog poop bags for those who don’t buy them for their leash, which is nice.. However the majority of the residents don’t ever pick up their dog poop. Instead I’m left to clean it up so that my dog, boyfriend, and I don’t step in it. There’s dog poop on the sidewalks, near the mailboxes, and piled up in the grass. Lakeside Landing also provides a dog park, where the residents still don’t pick up after their dogs when they poop. Keep in mind that most dog poop bags + receptacles are within 5-10ft where most dog poop is left and they’re placed all throughout the apartment complex. Residents are SO lazy that they fill the dog poop receptacle up with their kitchen/bathroom trash bags instead of walking it to the dumpster. Trash is always blowing around the property until it ends up stuck in the plants or lands on someone’s patio. We also have neighbors two floors below that constantly blare their music so loudly, the entire building shakes and you can hear their music in the parking lot as well as around our building. Several residents and I have been calling to ask management to address this for roughly 7 months now.. 7 months later and these residents are still disrupting everyone’s peace. The parking here is insane, it’s hard to get a spot close to our apartment most evenings which makes carrying groceries in even more of a chore. There is only one laundry room of 4 washers and 4 dryers for the entire building. Each load is $1.50 for both the washer and dryer which adds up and some of the residents leave these washers absolutely filthy, be prepared to wipe out the washers with every use. So if you’re considering these apartments, truly weigh your other options. These apartments are nice from the look but poorly managed and the residents are disrespectful.
I renewed my lease here if that’s tells you anything. Reading all of the negative posts on here shocks me because I’ve had a great experience here. Only things I could complain about are how cold it gets in the bottom floor in the winter time but if you look at the location of it, it’s under ground so what else should I expect and the other thing is the walls are very thin but you are living among other ppl so you should expect to hear loud things. Rent is very reasonable and management has helped every tome I had a question!! Never have parking problems and that’s big considering there isn’t assigned parking.
So... i lived here and was excited.... the staff was awesome... until i signed my lease... then they were very rude... wouldn't fix anything the air was out for 2 summers and my roommate who had severe asthma had to leave her home that she was paying way too much for for 1/3 of the year because they refused to fix it. my door looked like it had been swat kicked and getting my keys to work was like trying to nail jello to a tree. the parking lot is way too crowded and there is NEVER ANY PLACE TO PARK. the cyclones move in with their big huge trucks 6mo out of the year and hit your cars and play hockey in the parking lot like what is that? the walls are thin and dog dookey is everywhere. the apartments are very small and smell like old dude. the office people were in their terrible twos... the pool was nice but again no where to park so you had to walk 1/2 mile to the pool. AND THE WORST OF ALL ABSOLUTELY CEILING LIGHTS EXCEPT IN THE BATHROOM AND KITCHEN. that's all.

The complex towed my car while on a business trip, costing me $400 and now are refusing to reimburse me. I sent them an email detailing exactly where my car would be and the make, model, and license plate prior to the trip. They promised to reimburse me the $400 it cost to get my car back. They said it would be on the final check after I moved out. Now they won't return my calls or emails.

We are sorry for that we dropped the ball with this. Your Property Manager will reach out to let you know when you can expect your refund check to arrive. We sincerely hope you accept our apology. It was an oversight on our part.
This is easily the first complex that I have lived at in which I was happy with MGMT and my neighbors. The grounds are very nice, and the cleanliness and courtesy of the neighborhood boost the apartment experience. I have never had an issue living here, unlike every other complex I have lived at in the past. The pricing is worth it too! I have been places in which rent was higher, but the grounds were full of trash, kids were running around unsupervised through the parking lots, and there were pet "droppings" all through the grassy areas. I especially enjoy the amenities; the pool is kept pristine in the summer time, the dog park is open yet closed off to let your doggie run around freely, and the other activities provide residents with something to do right in their own "backyard" during the warmer seasons. During the chilly season, the office will host different events to attend as well. Last year we had a chili cook off and Taco Tuesday! I recommend this property to any person; someone with kids, pets, or just a single person.

Thank you for your overwhelmingly positive recommendation! We are delighted to know that our community has exceeded your expectations. Our team looks forward to serving your family for many years to come.
The apartments look nice( outside and in)! The apartments are trash. I never get any sleep because you can literally hear everything above you. My bedroom ceiling sounds like wood creaking and it is very loud! And if you have upstair neighbors like mine you wont get any sleep from 10pm till about 7am. I complained about this issue, sending multiple emails and even going to them in person but the problem still hasn’t been fixed( this was in January when i first moved in, its now july). The office is open through the week but they are never there nor do they answer the phone. There is never any parking spots in the parking area so you have to park on the other side of the apartments and walk around which is inconvenient because its kind of a far walk. The laundry rooms are pretty small which is annoying because there are alot o residents that use the one. For every load its $1.50( washing and drying each $1.50). I could honestly go on about it but this is already long enough. I just dont think its worth all the money they ask for rent! Cant wait until my lease is up!!! Sorry its so long, just trying to help the next person

My husband and I moved here from Cincinnati because the rent was cheaper for a larger apartment than what we were previously in. We bought out our lease after living there for only 8 months. When we first toured the apartments we worked with one manager, and by a couple weeks later when we signed the lease, it was another whole new set of people. The woman we worked with the second time, quit after only working there a couple months. She completely forgot to give us the walk-through sheet when we toured our apartment, then expected us to sign off on it without writing anything down. When we asked for a copy of the lease, you would of thought I was asking her to give me a kidney. Let's just say, you get what you pay for. There is NEVER parking anywhere. If you get home after 5pm, forget about finding a parking spot. They have "doggy stations" around, there are never any bags for people to use. The trash at the stations are not changed regularly, so you need a hazmat suit to throw your doggy bag away. The whole complex is a lawsuit waiting to happen. The decks leading to the apartments have rusted over, then painted over, which of course solves all the problems. There are also spots that feel like they could give out at any moment, the wood dips down and creates a hole beneath the carpet they laid over top of the wood. The bathtub in our apartment clogged by just running the water. We had maintenance there SEVEN times to fix the problem, which they never did. It was eventually fixed because my husband and I went out and found a solution ourselves. The poor people living below us would have water running down the walls in their kitchen whenever we used the tub or shower.
The apartments smell like mold when it rains. The updates look nice on the surface but were poorly installed and cheaply done. The laundry room is awful and the washers and dryers broke constantly and no one would put a sign up. The outside stairs and walkways to the apartments are unsafe. The lighting is not sufficient at all. The outside door leading to my apartment section would get stuck and I wouldn't be able to get it open to get to my apartment or out of my apartment. This was extremely annoying when I would have heavy groceries in my hands. I also called about a noisy air conditioning unit that was coming from the apartment below me. It would kick on so loudly and you could hear it from all over the complex. Despite multiple calls, the problem was never fixed. The parking is awful and it's only a matter of time before cars get side swiped. The people in the office are in over their heads and only care about getting you to sign. When I received my deposit there was a large chunk of money taken out for "double coat due to diamond pattern on walls." I can assure you that when I moved out my walls were the same tan color that Lakeside painted them before I moved in. Apparently, if the person who lived there before you painted their walls and they weren't properly painted over by Lakeside the first time, it will then be the next persons issue to deal with. I was told that I should have marked it on my move in sheet. I was also told that they would look further into it and call me back by 5pm, but it's 2 weeks later and I'm pretty sure I'm not getting that call. They will scam you out of your money and then refuse to contact you despite multiple messages and emails. They also NEVER answer the phones.
Management was rude and not attentive to our needs. We had a big problem with bugs. Maintenance was slow to fix problems.
Property Manager at Lakeside Landing, Responded To This Review
We are sorry to hear that you felt this way about your experience. Since we aren't sure when you lived at Lakeside, it is difficult to speak to these concerns. PLK Communities purchased Lakeside Landing in 2012. Our on-site team is extremely detail oriented and customer focused, so issues like this are rare to never. We do wish you happiness in your current home!
Interiors are nice, but unless you live on the 3rd floor, its not worth it. You will hear everything coming from above you. From domestic disputes and stomping around to children running back and forth and screaming all day long... I'd rather pass on the nice countertops for some decent sleep. And the laundry room... its gross, never clean, and there's a gaping hole in the middle of the floor. Safe to say, we're out as soon as our lease is up.
Lakeside Landing is an older, newly renovated complex with a playground and a pool for amenities. Unfortunately there are no public grills and grills are not allowed in the units. Other residencies with similar prices have more to offer like a clubhouse, gym and car wash station. With that said, management and repairmen have been very courteous and professional to this point in time. LL is pretty nice for no frills living in a great location with lots of shopping and very close to Cincinnati in a safe suburban setting.
The complex is in a great location off of dixie highway and the living area is spacious. The problems with this complex are the rude workers in the leasing office, no washer/dryer hookups and the laundry facilities on site are horrific, & there's hardly ever any close parking to your apartment.
The two main positives for me were the close distance to work and the low price (about $700 for a one bedroom). Other than that, the apartment was very average. The outside, stairs, and hallways to the individual apartments needed a lot of work.
