Property Ratings at The Hub at Nora
This really is the worst place to live, the girls at the office when you move in are very friendly, after you move in, pay they bring out their true personality, the apartments don't have any air conditioning, you ask for help at the office and they simply tell you that they are busy and can't help you, on pay days the office is always closed so that the days go by and they can overcharge you, they close the office whenever they please, they never keep to their hours, rotten water comes out of the ground floor and they never do the math, you ask for a document or the key to the mailbox and it takes them up to 3 months to give it to you, they are awful insects.
When we first toured the apartments it was so nice. When it was time for us to move in the apartment looked nothing like the one we toured. The windows were very old and hard to open. The maintenance is absolutely terrible we had told one of the maintenance workers about our screen in our bedroom window and he said he would have to get a ladder to fix it and never came back to fix it. Maintenance will also walk in your house and get your floors dirty and not clean up after themselves. It also took 7 months for us to get our new patio door after we had put the request in not too long after we had moved in. They also say that they will have pest control come in to get rid of the bugs but they never come. These apartments have a huge problem with bugs and roaches. I would not recommend moving into these apartments. I can say that Blake is very nice and will try her best to fulfill your needs. If you want to move into apartments that have roaches and bugs be guess but I would not recommend moving in these apartments.
I just moved in and I already want to leave. It's so loud outside from car stereos, yelling, reving engines, people hanging out outside. If you want any sort of quiet, peaceful place to live, I would highly recommend not moving in here.
Seriously. Roach-infested and dirty. Have a walk around the property; you can see they don’t put any money into it. Everything is poorly constructed or poorly maintained. You can’t fully open your dishwasher because the refrigerator is in the way. A coaxial cable runs through your coat closet. And when I say roach-infested, I mean it. I’d see dozens a day and hundreds of dead ones in my cabinets after pest control troll came. The complex wouldn’t treat the whole building, just my unit. So the problem never stopped. Channel 6 investigated them in March of 2019 for multiple health code violations. Look into it before you move here. In fact, DON’T move here. It was the worst-managed property I have ever lived at. If you do make the mistake of moving here, stay current on your rent so at least they have to give you a good reference for when you finally escape. That’s what I did and I’ve never been happier to leave a place.
Just left the place totally angry ??, won't ever apply there. Their customer service associate, Erika, made me seat for over 25 minutes, she had forgotten I was there, only to tell me I was too late she couldn't assist. Asked for her manager's number, she refused to give me, and said I was disrespecting her. Never been treated with such contempt. The excuse for jot helping me was that I made an appointment with a different associate, so I had to come back tomorrow if that associate is there then I can get assistance! Never seen such poor customer service
This place is awesome wonderful staff the property is amazing so ready to move in
I called to ask some information and was ready to drive there and sign the lease. I had everything they asked for and much more. However, I let them know that I would have someone else moving in, but I would put the contract under my name because the other person was still at another country. Carlos, the person with me on the phone explained to me that it couldn’t be done because both people needed to be present at the time for signing the lease. I tried to explain he could do all backgrounds check they needed and nobody would move in until the following week, and then the other person could sign the lease too. He said he couldn’t do it, but put me on hold and said he would try talking to his manager. The manager said no, and I asked to talk to the manager. I think the MANAGER’s name is SHERY. She was HORRIBLE! I tried again to explain the situation, SHE INTERRUPTED ME and said, “OKAY, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO TELL ME HOW TO DO MY JOB, HAVE A GOOD DAY”, and HANG UP the phone on me!!!! I hope they have the conversation recorded “for quality and training purposes”. NEVER WANT TO BE ON A PLACE LIKE THIS!!!
1. NON-FUNCTIONING POOL (excuse its closed for repairs) (for 2 years?!?!) 2. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT AND LEASING EMPLOYEES 3. HORRIBLE ON MAINTENCE REPAIRS AND TIMING 4. MAJOR SAFEY CODE VIOLATIONS 5. AND MANY MORE DO NOT RENT FROM HERE UNLESS YOU'RE WILLING TO BE DISREPECTED, CALLED A LIAR, CURSED AT, DISMISSED WHEN ISSUES ARE BROUGHT TO THEIR ATTENTION AND LIED TO.
DO NOT MOVE HERE!! This place is horrible. The staff is okay, but the units themselves are horrible. BUGS! BUGS! BUGS! They claim everything will be new when you move in, new stove, new refrigerator, etc. My freezer didn’t work, my stove is lopsided, also the walls are super thin. You can hear everything from every neighbor. Smell everything that everybody is cooking. Back to the bugs, ROACHES, to be exact. They have someone come to spray your home or whatever but it doesn’t do anything because you see bugs days later, weeks later even. So it’s no use. Just don’t waste your time. The exterior looks horrible. Water is always being turned off. Potholes everywhere. I asked one of their Maintance men if they would live here even said no, that tells you all you need to know.
Do not move here. The apartments have roaches, ants and spiders. Maintenance is unreliable; the apartment changes employees every few months. The apartments are overpriced. I called the health department twice to come handle the roach issue. Sometimes there is no water and they don’t inform you. Trash overflows the dumpster.

We offer weekly pest control service with Orkin. Please call the office to get set up with a treatment if you have pest problems. We actually do not have any open orders with the Health Department on pest issues at the moment. As far as the trash service, we have the dumpsters emptied 3 times per week. We do have 588 units on the property which means that overflow of trash may happen from time to time, we do handle these in a timely manor. If the water is ever shut off in any given building this would be because of an emergency and most times we have to take care of the situation right away which does not give us time to inform. If you would like to call us during business hours to discuss your individual situation , we will be more than happy to assist you.
Maintenance is disorganized, new office staff every 2 months. terrible

I have lived at Lakeside Point for 4 years, and really have nothing positive to say about my stay here. As other reviews have mentioned, vermin are a constant problem - both cockroaches and mice. Office and maintenance staff are completely inept. The office staff routinely fails to put in work tickets for maintenance issues, and when a ticket actually is put in, it takes maintenance a ridiculously long time to respond. Some personal examples include: A.C. out for weeks at a time in the middle of summer, heat out for days at a time in the middle of winter, routinely having no hot water, and appliances (Which are all at least 30 yrs old) regularly failing. Crime is also a problem. I've had my car broken into on 3 separate occasions , and see cops on premesis often. The only positive is a decent sized apartment for the price, and a good location. However, this does little to offset all the negatives. Unless you have no other option, I HIGHLY suggest looking elsewhere for housing.

in short: Heater was attempted to be fixed 15 times and still not working. Same goes for AC. Electrical bill (in peak seasons) go for about $300-$400 because it never turns off trying to cool or heat constantly. Also very big problem with cockroaches.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!! I moved into a "newly renovated" apartment about 6 months ago. When I moved in they were supposed to have the trash in the backyard area cleaned up, carpet cleaned, and water damage handled before my move in date. I came to move in and nothing had been handled. I told the front office multiple times and nothing was done. I have had water leaks, water damage, a broken screen door and my handle on the sliding door has broken off 3 times. The maintenance are idiots and don't know how to do anything. I haven't had A/C in two weeks and they have come out 4 times and can't figure out how to fix it, but they are too cheap to hire a professional. The front office staff are rude, and don't care about anything but their money. They take two hour lunches everyday and never return any phone calls. Their are potholes EVERYWHERE that are so deep they can damage your car. The building I live in has roaches and they refuse to come out a spray. The kids in the area will distort and steal your property, the parents are never out to supervise them. The windows won't stay up, the showers go back and forth from ice cold and scalding hot and you have to be careful everytime you shower inorder to not get burned.

Please contact our office during regular business hours and we will be more than happy to address your concerns. Office closes from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM for lunch. We provide professional pest control service on a weekly basis. We would never refuse to send them into your apartment. We do not have "newly renovated units", we do have units that may have had some upgrades (new appliances, cabinets, or carpet/vinyl depending on the individual situation of the particular unit). Our maintenance staff is professionally trained and certified to work on cooling and heating. If you have any work orders that need to be addressed please contact us directly so that we can best assist you.
I don't live here, so I left the average number of stars since I don't know what living here is like. I called to request an appointment to see a studio and the receptionist told me you have to pay the $35 application fee and $200 holding fee before you can even look at a studio. Major red flag. Why do I have to pay $235 before I can even see what I'm paying for? This is a very unusual practice so I really didn't understand at first why I couldn't see an apartment and she acted like I was very stupid for not understanding even though she was giving me as little information as possible. Shady
Property Manager at The Hub at Nora, Responded To This Review
We are sorry for any misunderstanding during your call. We do not require 235.00 to view an apartment. These fees are for applicants once they have filled out paperwork to become a resident. There is a 35.00 application fee and a 200.00 fee to hold the unit which goes towards your deposit. I hope this clarified any questions on required fees.
I made a big mistake moving here I have a two year old son and am a single mother. My apartment has been inhabitable for the past two months do to no a.c. and fleas. First of all it's been extremely hot this past couple months and infested with fleas because maintenance failed to treat it twice out of the 5 times I went to complain. So I haven't stayed there and they refuse to work with me on my rent meaning I still payed last month and will have to pay this month without even being able to live there...smh now I'm struggling financially because I have to help pay rent with the person I'm staying while they decide to do something about my adornment.
Maintenance could step up their game a bit but I believe they are trying to hire another one. The location is great though- everything you could possibly need is around the corner! I also really like the small fenced yard/ patio out back... It's only as much work as you want it to be. The office staff is friendly and helpful with any questions you have about the area as well. I really enjoy living here so far.
I like the apartment I am currently staying in, however I was shown a model apartment that is nothing like what I ended up being put in. I have a remodeled on bedroom apartment and I pay as much as if I had a standard two bedroom. I was originally going to get a two bedroom but they kept pushing my move in date back due to maintenance issues, and forced to settle for a one bedroom. The office staff is good about getting back to you with any questions or concerns you have, also they recently updated the laundry room which was much needed, I wasn't even using the facility due to how dilapidated it was. The grounds and landscaping are always kept up and it is within walking distance to shopping which is nice. I have not had any big issues with this apartment complex overall, I do wish they had more updated units and better options such as W/D in units.
The apartment is a good size 1bedroom with balcony it has tile floor in all rooms but the bedroom 2 walk-in closets kitchen is small not alot of cabinet space and the last thing rent is 639.00 a month.
