Property Ratings at Lakeview Apartments
This deserves 0 stars. Don't believe the good reviews. Rent is outrageously high for what you're getting. There are police constantly responding to domestic disputes, the leasing office is slow to respond to any kind of complaint, and maintenance requests are not responded to in a timely manner. Parking is nonexistent, tenants play loud music late into the night. Overall a horribly managed property.
mice are everywhere!! called maintenance about them and all they did was leave glue traps at my door & blame it on residents! black boxes outline all the buildings. i’ve caught 4 ina year! huge crack in my ceiling. apartment is literally slated & caving in on itself. parking is horrible and the amount they charge for rent is insane. can’t wait for lease to be over
Please don't rent here! This is place is HORRIBLE!!! Mice are everywhere. You hear mice and God only knows what else in the walls. Spiders, roaches and so many other insects in the apartment. Management is fully aware of this and do nothing about it. They have some nerve to charge this much in rent. They should be PAYING people to live here. I wouldn't stay here if it was free.
So far it’s a good apartment Jeanette was very helpful and nice.
If I could give ZERO stars I would. As a person with OCD, I am intense with being cleanly however these hole in walls are MICE INFESTED!!!!!!! I’ve live here for years and it has never been how it is now. They started off decent and clean. Now nothing gets fixed, and there’s not a single unit without black boxes(mice traps) outside. Pest control they hire are JOKES rarely show up and if they do only offer more black boxes and go about their day. The brick in the front started years ago and was supposed to be done in phases until entire neighborhood done, years later just the front is done. My ceiling burst 4 times this year alone, all they did was bought some fans ONCE to dry stuff of and painted over the water damage. No check for mold EVER! Dishwasher has been broken for nearly 8 months and promised a new one that I’ve yet to see installed. Continuous plumbing and water issues, and renters insurance they make you get through them only covers theirs property NOT YOURS. IVE LOST 2 TVS now due to water damage. Parking is a complete JOKE. maintenance is practically non existent EXCEPT Ryan. All this and rent has the audacity to be $2000+ a month nothing including to feel like I live in the projects. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, AND RUN AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS POSSIBLE. This is the nicest version of this review I can leave. Plenty of pics to back these claims. I cannot wait until my lease is up in a couple month. The one photo I could include is one 1/5 mice caught in less than 48hrs in 3 different rooms and this was a trap I had to buy with my own money because the bs they put down almost a year ago and never checked or anything doesn’t catch nothing. Watched a mouse stand right on top of it, eat the food, and walk off. This place is disgusting and literally needs to be assured and shut down permanently.I’ve had two babies now in the last 2 years and April when this lease is up, I won’t be renewing. I’ve NEVER lived like this and my babies won’t either.
I have lived here almost three years I have a townhouse that is huge and absolutely loved it! Never had an issue when I needed maintenance they fixed everything I need it the first time. The office girls are so helpful with whatever I ever need it I would definitely recommend living here and it's absolutely beautiful especially in the fall
the property is well maintained clean jeanette and staff friendly and helpful
This place is the worst apartment Complex I've ever lived it! They charge premium rent and the place is ran like a low income complex. Rats coming in from the walls, the kitchen was old and had to beg to have a huge space closed off so that mice can stop entering. I was told by maintenance you live in the woods get used it. Maintenance dors shoddy cheap work like spraying yellow hole fillers staining the carpet and pushing wire against carpet. The central air stopped working and they never fixed it because they knew I was on my last month. After moving out they make up charges to get money back since they don't charge a deposit. The police is there all the time and management is horrible when it comes to getting these things fixed in a timely fashion and dealing with mice. The list can go on and on.....stay away
I’ve been a tenant for over 7 years here and I have never had this much of an issue. The office staff is very unprofessional and quite rude at times. They have jacked up rent prices so high and do not maintain the property properly for this. It’s sad how much this complex has gone down hill in the last year. The property manager Sharyn and her staff need to be replaced. There is no true concern for the actual well being and uprising of the property. Parking is awful as you are not given a single spot and are walking an entire court length to your front door on a daily basis. I really hope corporate makes a change soon, maybe they need to be changed as well.
I have been a Tennant here for quire a few years recently separated from girlfriend had to downsize to a one bedroom apartment luckily was in same building as first apartment so all i had to do was move furniture down the steps Ryan a maintenance man that is very nice and professional helped me move some things. Sonia the leasing agent was so nice and helpful to me she made the whole transition easy with all her help. If looking for someone to help you see sonia and ryan both great assests to the company
I'd just like to commend Sal for being such a pleasant and considerate person. He's always willing to give assistance if you need it. I'd give him 10 stars if it was possible, but I have to go with the 5. I really have been impressed with him these past 5 years I've lived at Lakeview Apartments.
These apartments are way over priced for the condition they’re in. The floors are extremely uneven and the kitchen is unbelievably outdated. I have mold in my bathroom that maintenance “fixed”. They need a whole new maintenance crew because the repairs aren’t being done probably, instead they’re just patch ups, if they even answer the phone.. There is a serious ant and mouse problem throughout the complex, it’s unlivable. They need to stop being so cheap and update these apartments properly or they’ll lose a lot of business because this is just disgusting.
Honestly i wish i could give this place 0 stars! They really will have you fooled, wolf in sheep’s clothing! We moved in February 8th and up until then our experience was perfect! That night i woke up with 2 bites on me... one on my face and one on my shoulder and every since that night i continued to be bite... My 5 MONTH OLD SON HAS BEEN BITE 3 times... We have had the exterminator here 3 times and we have sprayed and nothing is working! I’ve been to the office multiple times about this and no one seems to care... Yesterday i woke up with 8-10 new bites on me and i had to call my doctor to find out what they were because this is absolutely ridiculous! He told me definitely not spiders but maybe BEDBUGS! Total i have been bite now 25-30 times, my son has been bite 3! When the exterminator was here yesterday he told us our heater room was infested with spiders and our heater was about to fall through the floor! LAST NIGHT ME AND MY BOYFRIEND WERE PUTTING TOGETHER FURNITURE AND ON THE OUTSIDE OF ONE OF THE BOXES WE FOUND A BEDBUG! I called the emergency maintenance line and they told me bugs were a next day issue and that no one would come and help me. THIS APARTMENT IS NOT LIVABLE AND NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE!
This place is horrible! Do not go through the aggravation. They say anything to get you in. The offer displayed on their home page is just to reel you in. Then they'll tell you why you didn't qualify for the special offer after you sign the lease. There are people with dogs over the 50 pound restriction and with pitbulls which they say are prohibited, but justify them by saying they are companion dogs. The late fee for rent is 10% of your rent. The gas bill is astronomical. Expect to pay anywhere from $300-$400 a month if you have a townhouse, especially one with 3 levels. That does not include electricity which is around $100-$150 per month. I've lived in a 2,800 sqft 4bdrm single family home and have never paid that much for utilities. Maintenance is slow and does not fix what they are supposed to. The tenants are bitter and complain about every single thing, especially parking, although there's no assigned parking. There is no place for children to play besides the parking lot. All of the cabinets and closet doors did not operate correctly or broke after about 2 weeks in the unit. TOTAL DUMP does not even sum this place up. I wouldn't move back to this place if I was paid to.
I lived at Lakeview for 2 years. So far I’ve received 2 parking tickets due to this property not having enough parking for residents. I asked for a letter to take to court so they can waive my fee but no one was willing to help me. I’ve also had to request multiple work orders for the same issues before they came out to fix anything. They don’t care about their residents.
Me and my friends picked Lakeview bc it was a good lcoation, the "community" seemed safe and overall its a great price for a good amount of room. Maitenence is great they are all professional and very helpful and really do a good job. However, Contacting them is a nightmare, who ever setup the online request thing for maintenance (management) forgot to send them to the crew. The most important thing I can tell you is parking is kind of bad on some days and you cant park near your building. The walls are thin so you can hear every time someone opens a door. and finally for your OWN Safety I do not believe for a second that they truly did a thorough criminal check on anyone.
I went there a couple days ago just to get some info, Mary was very informative, polite and explain the process very clearly and all of the new renovations to the property are definitely worth the price of the unit she showed me a one-bedroom or two-bedroom and they were absolutely beautiful I am definitely going to be coming back to apply the complex was built in the seventies but definitely doesn't look like it and the other stuff was pretty friendly too young lady offered me coffee and the other lady asked if I was being helped I loved it definitely for thumbs up, to bad I missed the open house.
The review titled "Catfished" is spot on. The model units are acceptable but the actual apartments are not and you can't view the unit until lease signing. The floors are broken concrete covered in nasty carpet so you have to attach all your furniture to the wall or it falls over. The floors are so broken and uneven that people (myself included) have actually gotten dizzy from walking around the apartment. The walls have been patched (without sanding) and painted over many times so they're super lumpy and hideous. Doors have had holes punched/kicked in them and have been patched with plywood. My bathroom door didn't even shut when I moved in and had to fix it myself! Bathroom tiles were coming up and out and I was told to glue them down myself because maintenance was never going to get to it! The windows leak, the appliances are old and broken, toilet never stops running, there are mice in the walls and management is terrible. One month they charged us for rent TWICE and then claimed that they couldn't reverse one of the charges. They also advertise that if you refer someone to the complex you'll get a $450 credit. I made the mistake of referring someone and they came up with all sorts of reasons not to give us the $450. We still haven't received it. THEN, with one month left on our lease, they contacted us to say that we never provided them with our renters insurance information (which we definitely did or we wouldn't have been able to move in at all) and that they were going to charge us a fee! Even if the apartments were acceptable, management is not. The fact that they're currently putting new windows in all of the apartments is just putting lipstick on a pig.

I've been catfished! The model unit is nice and semi-modern however my "deluxe" unit was not. I wasn't able to view my unit until move in day. Toilet constantly runs, front door looks as though it was kicked in and put back up with caulking and nails. Inconsistent floor boards and paint on top of paint on top of paint! The hallway(common area) is filthy, poorly lit and smells horrible. The pool?! I believe they're referring to the inoperable hole in the ground that tenants cannot use throughout this EXTREMLY hot summer. But we do have access to the sister property however no guests allowed! The fitness center is more like random pieces of old equipment that was donated and placed in a poorly ventilated room. The laundry facilities is exactly what is sounds like a laundry mat, people leave their clothes in the washer/dryer forever, it's ridiculous. The on-site deli is merely an over priced convenience store with very limited options but you can play the powerball. Oh and good luck trying to get a mailbox key, mine has been getting made for the past 3 weeks now. I had high hopes for this place and was severely let down! On a positive note, Kary, a leasing agent is extremely nice and helpful.
i just moved in to my townhouse which looks great. i have had some issues since then but maintaince has been ok so far. what i DIO NOT like is i have one car and i may not be able to park in front of my townhouse. parking is totally ridiculous. the other problem i noticed is no one picks up after their dogs it is disgusting. i wish i was told about the parking issue prior to renting. one other issue is the children play in the street where a lot of people park. i just hope none of the children end up getting hurt.
This is a great area to raise your children. The townhomes are very nice, spacious and have a little patio out back for relaxing. There are a lot of amenities included such as free use of the public pool, tennis courts, walking trails about a few blocks down the road as well a gym to work out in also included in your rent. There is a play ground close by. It's close to the main highway for easy access to stores. If your looking for some peace and quiet, this is the townhome you will want to live in.
The size of the apartment is great plenty of room for a family. I have 2 room mates and the smallest bed room is a tad bit too small for an adult but it's livable. Otherwise the location is great! Close to Deptford and not far from Philly by either train or car.
This place is a dump. I cannot begin to explain the unbelievable, horrible treatment I and many other tenants have experienced here. They do not care about anything. Nothing at all. If they are not breaking the law at that actual moment, well you can just wait because they are not going to put you in as a priority. The building and appliances are in deplorable condition, and again, if it is not a law that it be handled, well it won't be fixed. The smell of pet urine permeates through my unit. The place was filthy when I moved in and my appliances were not checked or addressed. The kitchen was filthy and again, none of the appliances were in working order.
A cozy community of apartment living, with a large, clean swimming pool, gym, and efficient laundry facility. Coming soon we will have a new deli on the premises! The neighbors are friendly, and we have easy access to Route 42 and the Black Horse pike. I moved back here in 2008, and prior that I had lived here for 10 years. The buildings are secure, and I have never had a negative experience here.
The area is relatively well-kept. Maintenance technicians vary in skill, and it takes several calls to get them out for larger issues. Most minor issues are addressed quickly. Crime is low, but not nonexistent. Rent prices reasonable to start, but raised about 8% each year.
Incredible amount of square footage for a very affordable price. Pool and all access to the grounds/basketball etc...
Conveniently located near many major highways - nice for commuting into Philadelphia but not too far from the Jersey shore. Lots of walking paths, a gym, laundry center and a pool. Parking lots with unassigned parking spaces. Pet friendly! Buildings are older and often need repairs, unfortunately, maintanence is not very quick to respond unless it's really an emergency. Plenty of shopping, dining and attractions minutes away. Overall, a good place to live with friendly neighbors and nice amenities.
