Southside Indianapolis is an up-and-coming community filled with affordable housing, great schools, and a welcoming environment. The city of Greenwood is home to the Greenwood Park Mall, a massive indoor shopping center with department stores, specialty shops, a food court, and more. Even more outdoor shopping centers can be found within the city. Southside is only 15 miles south of Downtown Indianapolis, making it a great neighborhood for commuters. Interstates 65 and 465 and U.S. Highway 31 make commuting to and from this sprawling district simple. Local restaurants and shops reside throughout this close-knit community, including Mrs. Curl Ice Cream Shop and Revery, a New American eatery serving up seasonal cuisine and craft beers in a hip space.

Property Ratings at Lakeview Apartments
Went to the pool earlier with my roommate. Nothing out of the ordinary- I was wearing the same type of clothing I always do. Hadn't even been in 5 minutes when a woman (presumably management), approaches me and says, "Sir you're going to have to get out of the pool. You can't be in there in underwear." I was taken aback for a moment because I was clearly not in underwear but a pair of shorts. I address this and she proceeds to tells me, "you can't be in the pool in street clothes. You're going to have to get out." Now that would be fine, but I must have missed the thin-lined rules at the bottom that allows you to pick and choose what rules to follow because as my roommate and and I were leaving, there were two children alone in the pool (appeared to be around the ages of 6-7), when one of the rules states, in big, bold letters, "children ages 14 and under must be accompanied (or supervised, don't remember exactly how it's worded), in the pool" when the 'supervision' for these children were sitting on benches outside of the pool area looking at their phones. As my roommate stated, one of the women tasked with supervising the children were one of the ones who reported me to management- evidently they're allowed to break rules but nobody else can. So, a word for the wise: leaving young children alone and unsupervised in a pool is a-okay, but wearing shorts in the pool that mimic swim trunks in every single manner aside from the inner-lining is an absolute no-go. The complex has been great aside from that. No other complaints from me. Clean buildings with no crime. Just can't bump my rating up in higher after today's experience.
These people expected me to stay after our ac went out in the middle of summer. My son has serious breathing conditions when he sleeps and they still made us wait 4 days to get the unit! Do not move here, they get attitudes with people and do not care about their residents.
Great apartment for the price. Nice neighbors and great management. Nice and friendly personnel. Very helpful maintenance crew. Central location close to shopping and grocery store. Close enough to greenwood and Indianapolis, great for local workforce.
I love my apartment. One bedroom. Washer and dryer hook ups in apartment. I am on disability and can afford my rent and utilites here. I don't receive any help with rent and I am very comfortable here.Grounds kept very clean. Also has pool for summer months. Love that the hallway is enclosed which helps with cooling and heating. Also pet friendly.
