Do not move here under any circumstances this place has been infested with roaches and bed bugs and they do the bare minimum to help you out and treat for it. In fact you have to pay 300$ to get your own u it treated for bed bugs as they don’t include it in the lease to cover their behind!

I am sorry to read your comments. We are NOT infested with roaches or bed bugs. We spend a lot of money for monthly treatments. As far as you having to cover the cost if you are deemed to be the source, it is your responsibility to pay for the treatment which is per your lease agreement. We do everything we can to make sure you have a great living experience.
I have just moved here and I have multiple issues with appliances but no one is paying attention to problems. i just fee like moving here was a huge mistake.
They will update/ upgrade things that work just fine but leave essentials unfixed for months. The building reeks, probably as a result of leaving the washer/dryer broken for months. Management is more concerned about updating their units than making everyone feel safe. The main doorway had a missing window pane from Dec-Mar and was simply covered with duct tape. However, they spend the time/ resources to upgrade the call system that worked fine. They are able to update so many units because tenant turnover is so high there. Just about every week expect to see a moving van. They do not have their priorities straight and YOU will not be one of them.
I have been living here for a few years now and management and maintenance are a joke. Dogs bark 24/7, doors slam shut the hallways are dim and need painting. There's dog crap in all the grassy areas, although there are "Poop Stations" most tenants can't be bothered. A large piece of sheet metal from the roof area has been on the ground for weeks. The washers and dryers work at their wim. The constant sounds of remodeling are an all day thing. The tenant turn over is high. Nothing gets done and management doesn't care and yet the rent continues to rise. Stay away unless you enjoy headaches
The building has been falling apart for a while now. After some large scale disasters with pipes they were finally investing some in getting stuff redone. They gave us less than the lease-specified 24 hour notice for non-emergency maintenance, vaguely said they would work on the plumbing stack. Apparently they needed to cut a large section of the wall out and caked our entire main area of the apartment in drywall dust. Terrible for someone with asthma. Not to mention it got completely in my laptop, which I hoped canned air would be sufficient to fully clean out and went to town on it. Unfortunately now that laptop has a power issue so not only have they caused a potential hefty health-hazard without proper warning, they also shorted a $2500 computer. When calling them about it they just said I should have known it would happen when cutting into drywall (which they didn't even specify would be happening in the original notice). Steer clear.
The office won’t do anything about our issues in our apartment and we have been here for almost a year now. Tried calling since we have lived here everyday, and gets told that someone will come to fix our issue, but nobody shows. When they do show up, they decide to do it without giving you a notice of anything. They left a note on my door saying they tried to get in but the chain lock was up. Do not live here if you want to deal with this please. We are planning on leaving next year when our least is up
Nice Apartments and great location! I really miss living at Lakeview. They sent my deposit refund in a very timely manner. This is one of the better properties in Parkersburg to call home. It is a great value and I found it to be a quiet complex with good people.
My husband and I have lived here at Lakeview Estates in Parkersburg, WV. for more than 6 years now. This is the best apartment living I have ever experienced. I grew up living in apartments in several different cities in 2 different countries. Management is great here and maintenance issues are attended to almost immediately. The soundproofing in these units is superb for apartment living. We rarely ever hear anyone else...not above us, beside us, or even in the common halls. The units have small climate control units that heat and cool very quickly. There is a dishwasher and garbage disposal in our unit as well. There is a common laundry room on each floor in each building. There are no pets permitted so there are no allergy or aroma issues either. The only negative thing I can think of is that the kitchen is a little smaller than we would like.....but we came here after having owned our own spacious home. I have NEVER had a regret about living here and I have never lived in a better apartment!!
Lived there for a few years. Rent seems to only increase every other year, though no lease is signed after the first year. Written notice of vacating required at least 30 days in advance. Kitchens are small with little cupboard space. Large picture window in living rooms. Deep windowsills in the first-floor apartments only. Carpets are NOT deep pile or luxurious though they may have been in years gone by. So plan on purchasing a draft dodger for your door(about $8 and change for two now). Dishwasher, stove and refrigerator are minimal. First-floor kitchen sinks can burp pretty regularly and the tenant has to run the cold water to clear it out. You don't pay a water bill so the cold water is free. Maintenance responds very quickly, sometimes within minutes of calling. Walmart, mall, hospital,restaurants are all very close by. The parking lot is plowed when it snows and lawn maintenance is done every Monday throughout the growing season of the year. Elevator in every building with stairs on each end of each building. Mailboxes are in the foyer of each building. Coin laundry room on each floor of each building with one washer and one dryer each. Storage lockers on each floor of each building except the first floor, but they get to use one on another floor wherever available...you provide a lock. All exterior doors remain locked. Complex manager lives on premises. Handicap parking spaces for each building.
