Lakewood Apartments

I recently moved into my apartment here at Lakewood, and I could not be more pleased. I worked with Suzanna for months in order to get my perfect apartment, with all of the updates and and must-haves I was looking for. Even coming to do my first visit I could tell there as a more personal experience to process. I look forward to staying here with my cat, who loves looking out at the dog park on site!

Lakewood Apartment has a wonderful staff. Suzanna and Jazmyn were extremely helpful with us making the great decision to move here. Ryan is awesome also. We highly recommend them and Lakewood!!!

I have been living in Lakewood Apartments for two years. I planned to move to an apartment closer to school but decided not to. The reasons were 1) location - it is away from the heavy traffic and noise near the local university, the Haslett and Okemos area is much quieter and more peaceful, also the Okemos versions of big-chain grocery stores, etc., are much better than Lansing. 2) the people working at Lakewood Apartments are very helpful - Suzanna and Jazmyn are responsive to my questions and accommodate. 3) maintenance requests are resolved quickly and promptly; Steven and Andy do a nice job - they find the root of the maintenance problem, and those issues don't arise again (but regardless, they do inspections to ensure the apartments are in good condition). The staff are nice and great; they don't make me feel like another tenant, but a resident.

I have lived at Lakewood for a year, and I love it here. This is the best apartment place I've lived because of the apartment management team (office and maintenance teams). Jazmyn and Suzanna really care about the community, they're responsive to questions, very communicative, go above and beyond to help or find answers. They were so welcoming when I moved in and helped me navigate everything I needed to get set up in my apartment. I've had a lot of maintenance requests (as is normal for apartments), and the maintenance team is extremely responsive, friendly and make your fixes feel like their top priority. I've felt very safe and cared for here. This apartment is in a fabulous location, close to the local parks and it feels like you're out in the middle of nature while still close to all the amenities of a big city. Also, this apartment complex is dog-friendly, with a great yard for my dog to play in.

The management is extremely friendly and works hard to continue to improve Lakewood apartments. They are very hard workers and I’m really glad to be somewhere that the people actually care. Great laundry facilities they are clean and the machines work great too prices for laundry aren’t crazy. The pool is super clean and clear and it’s great to relax. Sometimes the complex does events at the pool or office and games it’s a great place to live. You feel comfortable and you’re treated with respect and kindness. Grateful to be here

I love living at Lakewood apartments. It's a quiet complex, lots of greenery. The dog park is excellent, and they are completely dog friendly. The bordering neighborhoods are perfect for short or longer walks with your dog, and the trails at Lake Lansing North are only 5 minutes away. Suzanna, the property manager, was always prompt in replying and always friendly and helpful. The few non-urgent maintenance requests I've put in were taken care of the next day, so I have absolutely no complaints there. It's close to all important shopping (ALDI, walmart, Kroger, Target, meijer and the Meridian mall), and just a 15 minute drive to MSU. The only thing that is sometimes annoying, I would take away maybe half a star, is the train that runs by behind the complex. The train itself is not bad since they crawl along, but the horn honking can be annoying sometimes, but even that you get used to. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Lakewood apartments.

I have lived in Lakewood for 1 year and I loved living at Lakewood apartments! The management is excellent, the pool is quiet and relaxing, and maintenance is always fast and helpful. It’s very great community and safe to stay.

Such a quiet, well kept community. Tons of activities that the staff puts on throughout the year! Nice pool and super close to Lake Lansing. Staff is super friendly and staff is prompt to repair anything!

I’ve lived here for about 3 years and this is the best complex I’ve ever stayed at. You will feel extra safe with the secured door where you buzz guests in and can use the speaker to talk to the outside. They have a hub for packages and even before that this place I never had an issue with anyone messing with mail or others actually put it inside for you. And the STAFF is AMAZING! They will make sure you feel comfortable and immediately tackle any issues if you need maintenance or have any questions. They are extremely friendly and even have monthly activities ! I had won a Harry Potter prize after they had done a live quiz on their Facebook. During quarantine they even had some food vendors deliver to our door and for those who needed extra help Maintenace was available. Maintenance is the best maintenance they are friendly they make sure they get the job done correctly and are very thorough. And they also go above and beyond for the tenants and are very friendly. I love this place and will definitely be staying for a while. They are so friendly and helpful you will know you’re in good hands at Lakewood apartments

The management here is great! Michaela has made the move in process so easy for me! She is very responsive to emails, and always welcoming to questions to walk us first apartment renters through the process! My pup loves the opportunity to walk through the woods right outside our door! The apartments are spacious, nice and cozy! So glad I chose here to move into.

I am about to move into Lakewood Apartments and cannot wait to move in! The apartments are located in a great area, they are affordable, and well kept. Michaela, in the office, has made my moving process so easy. She is kind, helpful and so on top of it. She replies to my emails quickly and has been a pleasure to work with. I am confident she will be helpful when I move in as well. I am very much looking forward to moving into the apartment complex. Michaela has made my moving process much easier and less stressful!

my daughter and i just moved in not too long ago. the staff is welcoming, neighbors are friendly, the neighborhood is quiet! perfect for anyone who wants to live in the city but chooses a more "woodsy" feel!

If you’re a dog owner, you know how hard it is to find apartments that welcome dogs. Especially big ones. I have a 13 year old great dance mix and a 9 month old Shepard mix and not only did Lakewood welcome them, they welcomed them with OPEN arms. I see dogs walking around here everyday and no one complains, everyone loves them, and my dogs are so happy with all the woods and trails they have around here. Happy dog moms over here! Also love this place because the leasing agent is SO fun to talk to and they were ridiculously accommodating when we moved in as we were moving in in a complete rush. I love this place. I’d recommend them 100X over. So much love. (Also the apartments are so cute and cozy. Such a chill place)

I have lived here going on three years! It's a great location, quiet, everyone I have met is friendly, parking is always available and the new manager has been so amazing and turned things around in the office! We have an upgraded unit that looks great and is comfortable despite the small size for two grown adults it's not bad at all! I can't think of any complaints :)

We moved to Lakewood Apts in 2013 and we still live here now. The buildings are hide in a small street. The floor plan and the size of two-bed room are just right for our family. And the view of the windows is really beautiful. The administrator in the leasing office at that time was a easygoing, friendly and professional young man. We felt good about the rooms, environment, and the person. Therefore, we signed the leasing contract with him in 30 mins after our first visit. After we moved in a couple weeks, we found that our refrigerator generated a unusual loud noise. The maintenance guy tried couple time but was unable to fix the issue. Then the leasing office gave us a new one to use. In recent couple years, we witnessed that the parking lot were resurfaced, the buildings were repainted, the filter of the furnace and batteries of the fire alarms are changed at a regular basis, and so on. The leasing office did a lot to improve the living standard of us. We truly appreciate all the efforts they did. The current administrator, Rena, is worth to mention. She is a very nice lady with great communication skills. She developed a friendly and family environment for the guests living in here. She treats us like her old neighbors, such as taking care ours packages when we are on vocation. All the maintenance guys we met in the last 4 years are polite, and the current one really knows how to do and do it in a timely manner. The last thing I want to mention is the people lives here are also great. I lost my keys and wallet couple years ago. My neighbor found and turned them into the leasing office. My car's battery lost power couple times, and my neighbor helped to jumped the car. Overall, the leasing office is great, especially, Rena; the maintenance service and person are great, the people living here are great. If you are looking for a safe, friendly, quite, and beautiful place to stay, I highly recommend "the Lakewood Apts".

Lakewood Apartments was a nice place to live for the first 5 months. After that the office staff began to send threatening letters about alleged "marijuana smoke" in the corridors, (after agreeing that under the Michigan MMMP law that it was lawful for renting residents to consume their products on their own porches. Recently the office has began to not answer the phone for questions, does not respond to messages, and often is overtly rude to renters. I went to the office today to ask why I was being charged for gas on both my rental bill and by Consumer's Energy, as I was voicing my concerns and asking questions the property manager Renee continuously spoke over me, talked down to me, and refused to acknowledge that she had been ignoring phone calls for the past 3 days. I am very discouraged by my conversation and my treatment by the staff here. Please try to look over the fresh appliances and the "new carpet" they boast (which smells like cat pee once you put your nose to it) and realize these apartments are grossly overpriced. Besides my treatment by the staff, I have an ongoing jar I keep on my patio of the bugs I find in my cupboards and drawers throughout the summer and winter. Unfortunately, they have not responded to those concerns as well as bee larvae fall from the porch above mine onto my furniture. The water in the dishwasher continuously smells fishy and is undrinkable from the faucet for the same reason. I do not recommend anyone live here or rent with this company.

I lived here for two years and had a great experience! My apartment had a nice open floor plan and the maintenance requests here get fixed super quick. Management is super friendly and easy to talk to. I also like that they will sign for packages for you during the day and you can pick it up from the office later. Its located in a quieter location, but it has most everything you need within a short distance. Overall, I recommend it here. No complaints.

I've lived here for 2 years now. It's spacious, well kept and the property managers are so nice to work with. If you're looking for a safe and quiet place to live, this is it!

I've lived at Lakewood for 3 years now. I love it. Haslett is a wonderful area to live in with one of the best public school districts in the nation. I have an upgraded 2 bedroom apartment with an awesome view. Pet friendly, and allows large dogs. Maintenance is faster here than any other complex I have ever lived. No complaints. Stress Free. Kimberly and Leah in the office are very friendly.

The apartments have a large, open floor plan and a nice balcony, which makes it feel like more of a home The management is friendly, personable and attentive and they care that the residents are happy and satisfied with Lakewood. I'm glad that I made the choice to make my home at Lakewood Apartments.

My family recently moved to Lakewood Apartments. We were treated with the utmost respect by the leasing staff. They answered all of our questions fully and assured us that no question was too silly to ask. This has been the least stressful moving experience we've had so far (and we have moved at least 7 different times within the last 10 years). The apartment is spacious and the larger windows provide a healthy amount of natural light. The rates are reasonable and we're happy that we were able to bring our pets along. We're also quite pleased with the rural feel to the apartment property, without being too far removed from "civilization"; the Meridian Mall and a number of other shops and restaurants in Okemos are really only minutes away. At this point, we have nothing to complain about and are looking forward to our time here. I would advise anyone looking to lease in the Okemos/Haslett area to definitely give the leasing office a call.
