Signed one lease here and wow I’m so excited to be leaving. The management doesn’t care about all the cars that get broken into and tires getting slashed hence why they hired security ONLY for the purpose of keeping an eye on their office. The gate didn’t work for 10/13 months I’ve been here so it was basically pointless having it. My ac has been shut off a few times now in the summer as well as my hot water going out numerous times. Had to take ice cold showers for a week straight before maintenance actually fixed it. They typically put a ‘bandaid’ on the problem but won’t actually fix anything until you hound them enough (Exhausting). We had many other problems since moving in too but I digress. For the price to live here, you can find way better so just keep looking elsewhere.
This apartment complex refuses to fix a leaky roof in my bathroom. This problems is a result of a leaking A/C unit. This issue has existed for several months and I have put in many maintenance requests. I have also told the staff personally and they have not fixed the issue. I am a very dissatisfied customer and plan to relocate as soon as possible. I do not recommend this apartment complex due to this issue
I give you one but I would give it zero, it is a condo that looks very safe, but it has no security, the cars are stolen, everything is broken and everything inside is stolen, and you ask the office and they do not respond, or cameras do not work, apart from the fact that it is very expensive, does not have security, I do not advise anyone to rent here, very bad

Moved here in September because the inside of the apartments looked nice and I was starting a new job in Austin and needed to find a place fairly quickly. The first warning sign I can across was when I was signing the lease the deposit agreed on was $438 but when they gave me the lease the deposit was listed as double. When I asked about this they said we know what we agreed on and will only charge you for the amount agreed upon. When I asked why this wasn't reflected on the lease agreement they told me they didn't know how to change it. How can you work at an apartment complex and not know how to edit a basic lease agreement? Secondly, The third month I was here I received a letter attached to my door stating that because of my littered patio I would be fined $50 if I didn't clean it up in 3 days. Well the only thing I had on my patio was my kayak. I wish I could attach pictures showing how clean my patio was compared to others. Finally, there are people who sit outside in their cars and blare loud music all through the night. The walls are not very thick so be prepared to have your own personal concert every night. This place looks like a pretty nice place on the outside but be prepared for lousy management and loud music all night long. Ohh and P.S if you want to talk with anyone at the office during the week good luck. Their hours are 8-5 M-F, the same hours most people are working.
Lived here for over two years. The place used to be much nicer, yes the new management has made some "attempts" to improve the area. But then they turn around and throw eviction notices at people because they didn't tell the residents they reset their recurring payments. Also, the water bills fall on off days and if you aren't careful you can get late fees. IF you try to move out early, expect to pay $2500 and the full rent for those months. But they will tell you something else if you ask, until you hand in the paperwork. The dog park was recently infested with ticks. They rarely clean a lot of the trashcans, many pictures on the community board about it. Pool is overrun with kids from near by neighborhoods. The management always has their music choice blaring on speakers around the pool, so residents play their music super loud to hear it over the "popular" music provided. The rooms themselves are nice. First two years were great, then an elephant in High heels moved in above me. Hear them walking from 3 pm to 2 am. If you get a good location, the rooms can be nice. But if you move into the wrong side, cars and apartments get broken into.
Lakewood Apartments has incompetent, constantly changing management that makes bad decisions for the complex. My builing was not very clean and had noise issues that were never taken care of, even after numerous complaints to the office. Worst of all, they tow visitors that do not park in designated spots, and do not have nearly enough visitor spots to accomodate the resident's needs. There are maybe a total of 20 visitor spots for the entire complex which basically means only 1 visitor per building is allowed at a time. They instated this policy because residents complained about not having enough parking. The issue is not that there is a shortage of spots, it is that they have mostly "small car only" spots that do not even comfortably fit a small car. I have a honda civic and if I park in one of those spots, there is about 3 inches of space between the car and the line on either side. You also can only get one resident sticker for each person on your lease, so for friends/family/significant others to visit and be able to park, you would have to add them to your lease to get a pass. Overall a horrible apartment complex.

I would not advise anyone to move into this place unless you're desperate. I've been here TWO months and have been harassed by my neighbors repeatedly and they don't do anything about it. My neighbors complain because I have plants to water and some water drips down, I sweep my porch and dirt falls down they call the office. Now I AM THE ONE THAT HAS TO MOVE TO DIFFERENT UNIT TO KEEP MY SANITY. Had a Cowboys flag out for game day.... what happens office calls again. Literally called from the office once a week for something else. Once you get out of the complex it's BUMS GALORE! I rented this place sight unseen and it was beyond a mistake. The management is horrible. No one is ever in the office. My carpet had a piece missing out of it upon move in and has never been replaced. My faucet in the kitchen has rust on it never been replaced. Also had roaches in my unit the first week of moving in. Anything and everything you try to do to enjoy living here is shut down. But if you want a place that doesn't monitor their pool and you can party and scream until 1 AM every night.... THIS IS YOUR PLACE! Their security shows up about once every two weeks to check the place out. My advice to any normal minded human being DO NOT LIVE HERE!

They are making changes in the complex, I understand that, but what I don't is that is taking forever, we are paying for gym, business center, etc. Thefts had been taking things from cars too.
I have been here at lake wood for a year now everything is great along with the Miami styled pool I receive maintenance service within 24 hours and they are now renovating the gym can't wait for it to be finished.
