About 40 miles north of Dallas and Fort Worth, Denton is an energetic, progressive community in the heart of the DFW Metro. Even by Texas standards, Denton is booming – it is one of the nation’s fastest growing communities. It’s a college town, home to the University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University, but it’s also a hub for business and tourism, located near Lewisville Lake and only a few minutes south of Ray Roberts Lake.
The 35 Denton Music Festival and Denton Arts and Jazz Festival are both signature events with great tunes and dancing. You’ll find tons of things to experience in this suburban city. Spend your days at nearby Lewisville Lake or shop the stores at Golden Triangle Mall.
Local restaurants thrive in the downtown area, like LSA Burger Co. With its unique burgers, rooftop patio bar, and live bands, this Lone Star Attitude-inspired eatery offers a true Texas atmosphere.

Property Ratings at Lana
You get what you expect with one of the cheaper places in Denton. Our unit was not ready on our signed lease date, we had to store our things for 3 days and hire a second moving company at our own cost, management did not inform us that our unit was not ready until the Sunday afternoon before we were supposed to get keys at 8 a.m. the following Monday. Upon moving in, there were grime stains on nearly every door and wall, with what appeared to be blood stains in several places. We didn’t have blinds for 6 weeks, were told that they were ordered, and found out 3 different times that they were never ordered due to different excuses. Our water gets shut off for repairs at minimum once a week, sometimes 2-3 times for a couple hours each time, always an “emergency.” Also the pool is typically a disgusting black color and is still not open for the summer on June 25th. Overall, it’s affordable and that’s the only reason to rent here
The area around the property is great. There's schools, bike lanes, and it's close to TWU campus where I go to school. However, managment is pretty poor. Their maintenance staff is either unable to keep up with the aging property or isn't very well trained. My water has been shut off for repairs 5+ times this last month and I've had my AC go out in 100+ degree heat and have next to nothing done about it. The apartments themselves are ok. They're what you pay for. When I moved in there was cat litter in the carpet of three of the rooms. I doubt any cleaning was done between tenants. Hopefully, the new owners will do more than put a new coat of paint on everything....
