There are no amenities other than a laundry room and a small playground for children preschool to Kindergarten. The property management company breaks items in your apartment and charges you for it. If something is broken you cannot rely on maintenance property management makes you come out of pocket for it. They won't allow people/children in common areas or you be evicted. You aren't allowed to play music after a certain hour because if it's heard a noise complaint will be filed and the cops can show up at your residence. Trash is always full and overflowing and if a bag is on the ground, Property management has said that they will go through the trash to find out who it belongs to and make the resident pay a fee. You car can get towed for simply having a flat and they make no effort to be ADA compliant. Tennants are often slapped with unexpected fees before rent is due and given a day to weeks notice when changes like these mentioned above are going to be implemented. It's like living in purgatory! Save yourself from stress and don't waste your time.
I wish that I could upload the pictures of the mold in my apartment and several other pictures that I've taken of other apartments out here..........run as fast as you can because all they are doing about the mold is bandaging it! Don't let them sucker you in, the apartments are not comparable to the newer ones in this growing area.
I've been here for a very long time. When this area was nothing but woods. I've watched everything progress in this area except for one place. The Landings, the rent is extremely high just not to have anything here. No pool, exercise room, you can't have pets. The list goes on. My apartment had a terrible bug problem. The maintenance man told me he "doesn't do bugs" I also had a lizard hanging around my padeo. He also told me " he doesn't do lizards and snakes". I remember when the apartments across the street were built. Almost all of the neighborhood moved! Just because my wife has a great report with the people at the office we still live here. I'm so ready for her to make up her mind so we can move. Chose wisely!
If you're looking for a great price in a great neighborhood, then The Landings at Steele Creek are for you! They are very affordable but they do not have any amenities, other than the over priced clothes care center! They do not have a pool, weight room, car care center or anything of that nature! Now don't get me wrong, I lived there for 4 years so it's not as terrible as it sounds. However, if I could've afforded to pay more in rent, I would've moved a long time ago! Oh and last but definitely not least, if you do still decide to move to the Landings, please stock up on bleach because they have a very bad mold problem during the winter months!
Most apartments should have 24 hour security,especially those that have senior citizens and handicapped people. You never know the them may need help. Whether it be police assistance or medical assistance. This could probably safe someone's life, especially if they live alone.
What a fantastic place to live! Where? In an apartment at The Landings at Steele Creek. We have lived here for several years and have truly enjoyed the spacious accommodations. With the constant upkeep of the grounds and apartments, we never cringe when company appear at our door unannounced. The staff are always available and ready to assist in any need we have. This is more than an apartment, it is our home. What a fantastic place to call home!
Pros: Plenty of parking, there's no scrambling for spaces at any time. Office staff is responsive and courteous. Close to essential shopping (Publix, Walmart, Target, Outlet mall, and plenty of places to eat at) 20mins from airport. Complex is mostly quiet, even though its only 20mins from the airport. Cons: No paid utilities(at the time of this writing) No recycling(minor con) Complex has one entrance and exit which is onto a busy street during rush hour times. We're pleased with this apartment, and as long as the price doesn't get hiked up, we'll probably be here for a while. We're enjoying it here.
