Property Ratings at Landmark Square Apartments
This property is an absolute mess and not worth the price. The parking lot is a glorified junkyard, with wrecked vehicles and a trash pile that has accumulated over the past year with no intervention from management. There is one heater in the two bedroom unit that is essentially a space heater. It was not working properly for months and I kept filing maintenance requests through the online portal since the maintenance phoneline is never answered, and no one ever addressed the issue. I had to fix it myself. Actually, they changed the maintenance phone line and discontinued the emergency line without notifying tenants. Snow and ice removal is nonexistent. It looks as though they started to fix some of the balconies and quit before they finished, leaving piles of construction material uncovered in the courtyards. For some reason, the trash collection from the dumpsters occurs after midnight throughout the week. Want to open your windows when it's nice outside? Think again. There is constantly marijuana or cigarette smoke in the air that fills your apartment.
We unfortunately lived here for almost two years - the new management is absolutely horrible. The manager threatens to leave you without heat, everything is broken and nothing gets fixed. The office staff has no clue what is going on and don't even bother cleaning when you leave as you won't get your deposit back even if you leave the dump better than you found it. Disgusting
Had issues & the management took care of them right away! Love the area. Close to different experiences downtown. Great place to live!
Love my neighborhood! I love how convenient the location is and how secluded i feel all at the same time. Management is great, quick to respond if Ive ever needed anything. Neighbors are great as well.
New management is not communicative or professional. The 'emergency' line is either a full mailbox or the line is entirely down (which is a breach of our contract), online maintenance requests and personal emails about maintenance are not handled in a timely manner at all, the only communication that is timely has to do with them getting their leech money from tenants. No ventilation in the bathroom, a glorified space heater, doors missing handles, door handles that don't work properly, the true 'landlord special' is given here.
When I moved in the property manager was an amazing person and really took the time to know her tenants and it felt like a really wholesome place to live. The company sold the property to a new company. since this company has taken over they have changed so much about the place. There is a new property manager who will literally scream at you, when you ask a question about a late notice when you are unaware as to why there is a late fee on your account. This new property manager claims that he has called you to discuss this even though he has never called you. The issues with the building are never resolved. They are state that when you have an issue that you have to call the emergency maintained line. When calling this number you get a voicemail, that is always full so the issue go unresolved. after being screamed at by the property manager, i asked for the corporate number from being so belittled. the property manager then proceeded to state that there is no corporate number and that there is no one higher then him that we can speak to. i do not recommend living in these conditions. I hope this helps someone. Please do not sign a lease with this place you will be basically on your own and you will be screamed at for no reason.
Absolutely horrible - moldy buildings, flooded parking lot at our building, front door is unlocked and patched up with cardboard and duck tape, mold, falling balconies, management that doesn't reply for days. We have had people break into the basement and nothing was done about it until another resident left a review on here. Many others have had packages swiped. Our fourth month here, the roof leaked all the way down to our bedroom and soaked our belongings. We had to wait three weeks for someone to come out and do the necessary work. Meanwhile we had to sleep in the living room. If you want a hot shower, good luck - the water alternates between freezing and scalding. Do not live here, you can find better places in Erie for around the same price and it is not worth your health, safety or sanity. So glad we are leaving soon as it has gotten really bad the past few months. To be honest I don't even think they have employees, but if they do they should be embarrassed because the living conditions are not acceptable
I am so loving my new apartment. The charm here you will not find anywhere else. The property is very well cared for! I appreciate the smooth transition by all of their employees.
Old dilapidated buildings with no secure entrances, rude management that half-fixes things, homeless people hanging out in the basement of the building on Weschler, mold issues, bug problems you name it. Fitness center is always out of order and there's always tenants yelling and fighting. LOOK ELSEWHERE!
Landmark Square is not worth the continually increasing cost of rent. The new management cannot answer their phones. The emergency maintenance line takes you to a full voicemail, and nobody answers for DAYS. Online maintenance requests get ignored for months until it becomes an emergency, and now everyone in my building has been struggling to get ahold of help for over 24 hours. This probably won’t get the landlord to take any action, but maybe it will stop someone else from going through this. I’ll never recommend here, again.
