Property Ratings at Langdon Park at Fort Washington
This new company Langdon PARK is not doing the things they said when they took over ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY with them always putting false notices on all residents doors for unpaid rent and other things when they should be updating and checking beforehand and when you ask them they always have an excuse of why but never a solution employees need better communication skills. Maintenance sucks they only have two they need new ones cause they don't know what they are doing half fixing things in apts, we pay for all these extra fees but not allowed to use the Community Room for events they made that into a aftercare which is cool but we pay to be able to use it for events etc children don't have a playground in the complex, The gym is horrible needs to be upgraded and we only can use during business hrs, the pool needs more than one lifeguard for safety of the children. They charge you to rent the washing machine and you also have to share utilities with all the residents so even if you don't use them often its high , appliances are old and needs upgrading in apts they need to call pest control for the birds that poop everywhere cause they are in the vents of the buildings, walls very thin you can hear and smell everything carpet needs changing in each bldg and doors needs to be painted apts only have top lock keys no bottom and the bldg doors are not secure ppl can see what apt you go in very unsafe and the list goes on for the amount of rent they charge our community should have no complaints we should be able to communicate to the employees in the office without getting the run around.
Mice 1st night, boyfriend had to take the time to fill each hole himself. Major spider problem, some even poisonous. If you have children beware. Mine got hit. Walls extremely thin. Can hear every single conversation and tv show your neighbors watch. Mold everywhere, around tub, soap holder. Every faucet. Just moldy ! Cheap cracking paint. Look up and see cracks everywhere ! Went so many times without hot water omg even one time for days. Dog poop literally all over the community. Dogs running wild without leashes, be aware. Very filthy hallways. Cleaning and maintenance very lazy. Put in maintenance request doesn’t get response until weeks later. Parking sucks ! They will hit your car. The staff in rental office is the absolute worst especially property manager. Very rude and unpleasant girl. Don’t be fooled by the front to get you to move here. They never inform you on changes or updates. Just surprise you with fees and things. Downstairs main door no lock. So unsafe. Big glass windows. People can watch what apartment you’re walking into. Never any visitor spaces available for guest. Their car will get hit on street.

neighbors constantly complain. floors and walls are SUPER thin. you can hear the person above you just walking. cockroaches. black mold under the kitchen sink when i moved in. cabinets falling apart. this complex is inviting because of the price paired with the area its in but within a couple weeks of moving in, you’ll see why its so cheap. and based off the quality, it should be cheaper.

Upon my arrival to the leasing office, I was promptly greeted by Ms. Shai. I informed her of my needs and although the 1 bedroom was not available for viewing, she graciously showed another unit. Shai gave honest and transparent answers to all of my questions. While this property may not be at the top of my search list, the leasing staff is to be commended for its professionalism.

***In short - DO NOT LIVE HERE*** I don’t know where to begin. This place is waaay overpriced and simply not worth it. The property management company doesn’t do their job, complaints are ignored, they never pick up the phone, they are unprofessional and unresponsive. You can tell there’s something wrong with the office because there is such a high employee turnover. During my time here I had to come to them with a big issue with a neighbor and they very poorly handled that serious issue in a way that put me in danger. The apartments are poorly made. Since moving in we have been dealing with all sorts of problems mainly Heating/AC not working, door lock issues, plumbing backing up into the bathtub and sink and for a period of time there was rodents living in our vents. The very first day we moved in the AC was not working, the water was not on and the door lock was literally hanging off the door. This is a smoke friendly apartment complex and trust everyone smokes something. You can smell smoke from cigarettes and weed 24/7 in your apartment as if someone in your room was smoking. The neighborhood is horrible. The grocery stores in the area are horrible, the shopping center and movie theater and also horrible. It’s a 35-45 minute bus ride from the nearest metro – and that bus only runs once an hour. If you drive instead – be aware that peoples’ cars get broken into ALL THE TIME. The company boasts about its clubhouse, pool, fitness center, community events and balconies. But let me tell you – there are never community events, the pool is dirty, always opens late and is overrun by kids, the fitness center is more like a fitness shaft, and if you get an apartment with a balcony be aware the view from the balcony is probably going to be some back water hideous mini-forest with all sorts of garbage in it. The clubhouse is something you must pay for to use and trust it’s not worth it. Be aware everyone has dogs and those dogs howl and bark together at all times of the day, late night, middle of the night, early morning, etc. People don’t pick up their dog poops and everyone leaves their dogs outside on the balcony. Something that management does NOTHING about. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF, DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!
My experiences with Glen Rock Apartment property manager and E & G Group has causing me so much trouble and inconveniences. I informed the manager that one of the maintenance man was recorded going through my belongs. I then stated that “I did not want anyone going into my unite without property manager being present”. The next day the same maintenance man returned to my united and can be seen on video looking for where the cameras was located. Sometime after that, my refrigerator went out. After four days with being without a refrigerator and losing all my food, I was informed that they had found a refrigerator for the unite but I would have to take off work because she did not feel comfortable entering into the unite. On the day, the refrigerator was delivered the SAME maintenance man showed up at my door without the manager present. He was very confrontational and unprofessional. I no longer feel safe living here knowing that he is still working with Glen Rock Landing Apartments and has access to my unite. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!
I have lived here when the apartments were called Rosecroft Mews. These apartments are affordable and near shopping, as well as access to public transportation. However, the property manager and management are unwilling to enforce the legal document signed (lease) at move in. In lease there is an addendum that use Federal stature to make this complex a drug free zone. I have complained since July about tenants who disregard the lease. Marijuana smoke comes through my vents, the front door, and from under my kitchen sink. Even now recently moved in tenants are selling drugs out of their unit in plain view of the parking lot. Having small children and trying to save for a home is even more stressful in this environment. I feel that we are expected to accept because the rent is affordable and we live in apartments. There is nothing luxuary about this complex. Oh and also they put in hardwood floors even though carpet helps to muffle the noise since these floors are very thin.
This place is the worst apartment in history!!! Don't move here if you like peace and common sense! My boyfriend has called the office over 30 times for MOLD (yes MOLD) coming out of the vents. It's gotten so bad we've had to involve the Heqlth Department, mind you that was the ONLY time they came to "fix" anything and their idea of fixing our problem was shutting off power to half our apartment! This place needs to be condemned immediately!
Even as a lease holder I had to park on the street because my car got towed once, the lease office won't issue a parking permit due to a made up rule that was never in the lease, not to mention the terrible maintenance. Can't wait for my lease to be up.
Property Manager at Langdon Park at Fort Washington, Responded To This Review
We would never deny any resident a parking permit. In order to obtain a parking permit, you must bring in your registration and ID. We also issue guest parking passes to each unit. If you have any questions please feel free to contact our office. Thanks. Manangment
I've lived here since 2012 under Roscroft Mews and the maintenance and office ladieswere horrible. The management when I first moved here in 2012 was unprofessional and old management was changed out three times before Ms Tameka took over, I saw her working hard to help and hear the tenants complaints. The owner at the time didn't care or didn't have the money to invest in the apartments. She was more concerned with making things happen. Unfortunately, old property owners didn't see Rosecrift Mews as a complex worth investing into. Now under current property owner with Ms Tameka as resident manager she has gotten the property cleaned up. She removed the problem tenants and is trying to fix maintenance problems faster. The new owners are giving her what she ask for to make this a better living environment. This complex has come a long way and I see more changes to come.
I'm a single mother of two growing boys & darling little pup. It is my job to keep a safe roof over their heads. I chose Rosecroft Mews because it was affordable & the neighborhood was just right for my family.
The apartments are a great size, and the closets are nice. The service in the leasing office is horrible, the maintenance is horrible, they paint everything, the walls are ridiculously thin, and fix nothing. The location is terrific right next to the beltway (95, 495, 295), and less than ten minutes from the National Harbor. If you're looking for your first apartment and can't afford an apartment in the city, this would be the next best thing.
Nothing has changed still roach infested, bad Mgmt., and terrible maintenace and still can not get in contact with their corporate office. You can't change the name and still have the same ole bullcrap. I even hate to give 1 star
I have lived here for a year now and am very pleased with the service I have recommended the apt to friends and they have moved in its very close to the beltway
I love living on the bottom and I love having the convenience of stores nearby.
