Property Ratings at Langley Square Apartments
Langley Square Apt staff is very kind and professional. They really go the extra smile to help you Chuck, maintenance man, is very kind and professional.
DO NOT MOVE HERE! I’m here because I have to not because I want to. This is probably one of the WORST places one could possibly live. The apartments are very old and dated. They have tons of maintenance issues that never get resolved. Broken toilets, closet doors falling off the hinges, raggedy gas stoves, cracking ceilings and floors, black mold, and worst of all a major COCKROACH and SPIDER infestation. Not to mention my AC has been broken for 2 yrs and they have neglected to fix it. On a good day my apartment is 80 degrees but typically it’s much hotter than whatever the temperature is outdoors. Risky business much? Since I’ve been living here I’ve developed Asthma, something I never had issues with prior to moving here. At this rate I’m going to report them to the housing authority and try to involve the local news to shed some light on this terrible complex. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE CONDEMNED!!
I lived there from 1998 - 2003 and there was endless crimes. There was gangs and beat people up, breaking into my appt. breaking windows, no one does anything about .It was the worst place we have ever lived. The schools are awful. I moved before anyone in my family got killed. I swear everything Ive said is the honest to god truth. please dont even think about moving there. I forgot to tell you about the crack problem.
This place has been ok for the time being until I can do better , but I've been dealing with a leaky roof for 2yrs now an have been told that Im on a waiting list I been thinking about going public with it, while trying to give time to do whatever it is they do when it comes to these types of things. And the bugs are just the icing on the cake this place is old as dirt and what would anyone expect from old property smh. I keep it controlled just by simply buying bug spray. If you have the means to not live out here Don't and if this is the only way do what you gotta do to adjust.
I would rate them zero stars. They had me sign my lease and then showed me the unit. Ended up stuck in the unit for years- with a an absolutely terrible bug problem. They refused to move me, and didn’t provide any relief for the problem. Work is rarely done quickly- you may wait for beyond three months. The only reason they moved our unit was because they were reported to HUD in Richmond- the supervisor of the property came by and did NOT apologize for the bugs, mold, leaks, or the human waste running down the bathroom wall. Instead he voiced his concern of “house keeping” and stated that they don’t like to move residents because they then “lose money.” Thank god the unit started to fall apart otherwise my family would still be there.
LIVE THERE IN THE EARLY 1970'S. AT THAT TIME THE MANAGEMENT WAS QUITE GOOD. I WAS IN THE MILITARY (AF) AND THIS WAS ONE OF THE HOUSING FOR MILITARY THEY RECOMENDED BEING YOUNG, FIRST TIME INVESTING IN LIVING ALONE. THE ONE BEDROOM UNITS ARE GOOD FOR THIS EXPERIENCE. I HAD A FRIEND WHO LIVED IN A 2 BR/1 BATH, SHE LOVE THE UNIT AND FOUND THE COMPLEX ENJOYABLE, CLEAN, SAFE... SHE WORKED SWING SHIFT (3P-11P). THERE WAS ALWAYS A SECURITY PRESENT TO MAKE SURE THE COMPLEX WAS SAFE FOR ALL RESIDENTS. I ENJOYED THE AREA A LOT, I AM CONSIDERING RELOCATING TO THE AREA AND WILL LOVE TO LEASE AN APARTMENT AT THE COMPLEX. YEA. I WAS IN MY 20'S AT THAT TIME. I AM IN MY 60"S AND STILL A HUGE SUPPORTER OF THIS COMPLEX, ESPECIALLY FOR THE LOW INCOME PERSON(S). MILITARY !k!!!!!!!! THANK FOR WHAT THE MANAGEMENT DOES FOR ALL THEIR RESIDENTS!!!!!
