Property Ratings at Lansdowne Towers Apartments
The apartment is okay. The only thing special about this place is the monthly power outages that sometimes goes from 6am to maybe 10pm. Maintenance crews smoke all day at various entrance points/ no designated smoking areas. You don’t believe me, stop by and ask a tenant. There’s a rates and roaches in this place as well. They too costly to have such problems.
The apartments are spacious and pristine. I am so impressed with the level of professional care that is taken by the office and maintenance persons. What I really love us the attention to design .. Soft close cabinets .. valet trash pick up at your door .. There were a couple of small maintenance issuess when we moved in , and 3 maintenance staff were on it the very next day . Your request are followed up with text work order numbers and status. The call center persons deserve honorable mention as well .. The neighbors are friendly .. My husband and I don't drive .. But a ten minute walk to the 113 takes us to the city to work in a matter of minutes.. and it runs regularly. There is a small section on my walk that doesn't have pavement .. but it still is not a problem because it may take 3 minutes for me to get past and back on the pavement.. I hope this information is helpful . Mail delivery it the best .. I have had package delivered to me everyday since moving here and none have been delayed like in the city .. I am looking forward to living here for a long while .. I will retire in 5 years and I look forward to living here after retirement . The scenery is tranquil.. the building is quiet.. My husband is happy to have his own bath.. lol ..
Good and clean apt but not much to do around the area. Close to gladstone SEPTA station and PHL airport but remember they will not give you the full security deposit even after cleaning the apartment better than what you got for. The prorated rent they charge is absurd and even after accepting their own accounting glitch they will not refund the correct amount of security deposit. No response even after contacting the leasing office more than 5 times, they just want your money and are not ready to co-operate with the tenants. THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU MOVE IN.
This place is just ok. We viewed the display apartment and loved it. When I moved into my apartment I noticed somethings I just wasn't ok with. There was cracking in the ceiling. Bugs of every kind. And I specifically asked about this because I hate bugs in the house. Granted we live next to a wooded area but a different one everyday seems a bit much to me. Field mice. The heating system is extremely loud. The air conditioning system broke and they came to look at it and said someone would be back in a few days. They never came back. It's fall now! Actually the system broke twice. The first time they fixed it but it stopped working in about a week. There was a random leak in my ceiling. The closet doors are metal and get stuck and are extremely difficult to deal with! The kitchen isn't updated and the cabinets are starting to warp. And the counter in my 1 bathroom is basically falling apart. Also the fab keeps breaking in the bathroom as well. There also seems to be a reoccurring terrible odor in the hallway. Still haven't figured out what it is! However, the staff in the leasing office are nice! The apartment has potential to be perfect. I really like the layout and size. It could just be my apartment but I can't say that I've been satisfied.
I have been living here almost 9 years, the place is about 40 years old and in need of many updates and improvements. Management does not believe in updating or replacing things they just put a bandage on things and patch them up. I would like to move from here.:
I think I lived at lansdowne towers for about 10 years the only reason I left was because I was laid off from my job if i wasnt I would still be there. Pro: 1. Quite place to live and I do mean quite you can hear a pin drop in this place 2. spacious apartment I had the luxury it was nice 3. security camera at front door that you can view from monitor or TV in apartment. 4. Door buzzer 5. plenty of closet space and storage Cons: 1. Community Washer & Dry ( none in apartment you had to share W/D with your neighbors 2. when new owners took over I had to pay for Gas which was included with your rent. 3. Central Air was not strong enough to keep apartment cool in the summer if you have a plasma TV it generated a lot of heat along with my computer and the central air could not keep living room cool, the bedroom was OK 4. Not enough dedicated outlet some outlets where on the same circuit so you could have your micowave and mini oven on at the same time blows circuit. Over all, it was worth living at Lansdowne Towers
