North San Antonio begins along I-410 and extends northward to roughly Ammann Road. The area becomes steadily more rural as you head north, with large ranches and farms dotting the country roads. Closer to the highway, you’ll find beautifully landscaped neighborhoods and terrific shopping areas mixing to deliver a much more suburban feel. The upscale North Star Mall is located here, offering stores like Dillard’s and Saks Fifth Avenue.
A variety of neighborhoods are contained within North San Antonio. The ones on the south end include Castle Hills, Oak Valley, Greater Harmony Hills, Hollywood Park, Hill Country Village, Lockhill Estates, and Whispering Oaks. Travel north past Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Camp Bullis to find spacious and elegant communities like Timberwood Park, Bulverde, and Fair Oaks Ranch.

Property Ratings at Lark Apartments
This place is cheap, but it's cheap because so many things are falling a part. The staff do not provide assistance in a timely or effective manner. Work orders can take weeks or months before they get addressed. Units are leaking, some don't have access to running water, ROACHES EVERYWHERE, thin walls (you can hear people talking and pounding on doors), no assigned parking, loose drawers, loose shelves, broken stove tops, dirty or damaged dishwashers, damaged cabinets, patio screen doors are damaged so they don't close properly, some of the other tenants have their screen doors completely broken off.

Hello, Thank you for letting us know about your recent experience. Allow me to apologize on behalf of our team. We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this with you further so we can improve.
Water is always off. A/C always fails during summer (currently 80° in my apartment), roaches, loud neighbors, pool never open, the list goes on. Cant wait to leave when my lease is over. I’ve been here for 3 years staying due to financial reasons but PLEASE DO NOT MOVE INN.

I've lived here for almost two years. and managers have come and went here. basic things needed in the apartments were done. But it lacked care and concern. NOW I love the new management staff, they have stepped in to make changes in a positive manor and the results are noticeable as well as appreciated. I've personally told them; the owners need to keep you. Because you care about the property and that's definably needed. Keep up the good work. Ms. Calloway 1912

Hi User ! Thank you for leaving such a wonderful review. We are so glad you love our community. Thanks a bunch and have a great day.
Water pipes constantly bust took 1 week to get water back on. There are roaches, maintenance are lazy, front desk staff barely at front office, rent on lease is not what you are truly going to pay monthly

No communication from management, AT ALL. Didn’t have water for a week after the freeze, still don’t have hot water. Ironically, they spent a month before the storm turning off my water for 6-7 hours everyday to “upgrade” the plumbing. The air conditioner has never worked properly, that’s a bad thing in San Antonio. The grounds are poorly kept. Questionable billing practices. Was really happy to see that even though I didn’t have water for a week, my water usage bill increased by $10. I had made peace with renewing my lease, because I didn’t want the hassle of moving again a year later. That’s no longer the case.
The entire complex spent months renovating the interior and exterior to the entire complex. They added the dog park and improved the gym, office, pool, basketball court And a picnic area. A new company took over the complex. They are very nice and professional. I do not like the doors as they are bright yellow. But other than that it is a good complex
There are three major issues I have with this complex. Let us start with the obvious problem. The security gate was broken when I arrived, they claimed for a couple months, and when I left it still had not been fixed that is about two years of not fixing a security issue. My second point of contention comes from an error which saved me money but does show a lack of responsibility in the leasing staff (to be fair she did leave the job right after I left but she told me she just started at a different Seldin property). My issue is that even after I signed the paperwork to renew my lease for 9 months after the initial 12 months they never put it into the system. Sure this meant that I was charged a lower rate for about 5 months, however, they eventually caught it they said I never renewed my lease and threatened to evict me. Luckily, I had my copy of the renewed lease and gave it to them to prove I was in the clear but their error shows a lack of responsibility and disorganization on their part. My final major issue has less to do with the apartments themselves but the parent Seldin company - this is that they are engaging in legally questionable practices concerning internet and cable. Towards the end of my lease Spectrum cable/wifi box wall inserts were installed in every apartment. Why? Because Seldin and Spectrum have entered a deal that gives Spectrum a virtual monopoly over the complex's wifi and cable purchases by forcing tenants to pay for Spectrum internet/cable by including it on their utility bill. Whether one wants Spectrum or not, cable or not, internet or not, they are forced to pay for service - which is likely breaking FCC guidelines - for anyone still living there that is dissatisfied with this arrangement I would recommend looking into legal counsel and suing the company. This was my first apartment and over the past 21 months I have had my ups and downs with it. Overall, the price for the square footage/location was pretty good, the apartment, for the most part, the apartment was in good condition, and the staff was pretty friendly. However, the three major issues I listed plus a variety of other smaller issues means I cannot give Sierra Ridge a good review. I would give it only 1 star but I believe that if you are unfazed by my major issues then you will find it an alright complex; in between these issues occurring it was an alright place to live but even so I would not want to live there for more than a couple years.

Bianca in the front office is a money seeking liar. You will always be requesting to fix your air conditioner. My toilets never worked properly and spews waste down the sides and it never gets fixed. My kitchen sink had moldy smelly drain water backing up so bad it made a river that went all the way to the carpet in my living room... THREE TIMES. Everything breaks. Everything in the apartment is original from the 80s... hints why everything breaks. When you need something from the office have no fear because Bianca will be there to give you attitude! Your neighbors will key and ding up your car. There are sketchy people walking around the complex at night all the time. I've never felt safe living here. This is the worst place I've ever lived in my life!

Hello. Thank you for your rating and review of Sierra Ridge Apartments. We appreciate your comments and also giving us the opportunity to respond. Our office staff treats all residents equally and holds all residents to the terms of the lease he or she signed. We are sorry for any miscommunication there might have been regarding your lease and the terms of the lease, but all residents must follow the lease, and if there are fees or extra charges assessed due to terms of the lease being breached, we will assess those fees. This policy is not just a one-off, it applies to all residents who do not give proper notice of vacation or who are in violation of other terms of the signed lease. As for your other comments, our maintenance staff responds to requests as quickly as possible once a resident lets us know there is an issue. We urge residents to contact the office as soon as an issue arises so that we can resolve it immediately. Sometimes maintenance issues will take longer than others to resolve, especially if we have to bring in outside professionals to help us fix things. Safety of residents is one of our top concerns. Again, if a resident has a safety concern, we urge them to call the office so that we can alert our security professionals or law enforcement if necessary. We strive to provide a great living environment for all residents of Sierra Ridge, so again, we do apologize for any inconveniences or miscommunications you experienced. If you would like to discuss any concerns, or if there is anything we can assist with, feel free to call the office at (210) 377-1490. - Sierra Ridge Staff
The grounds managment is highly unprofessional. Rats infested my apartment and they did nothing for almost 2 weeks. Now more than a month later i am still having issues with the vermin and the office wont even return my emails. I have lost nearly everything i own because of this issue and they absolutely refuse to compensate me for the thousands of dollars worth of furniture, kitchenware and food i have lost. I cannot cook in my kitchen or even enjoy sitting in any room of the apartment besides the bedroom which i have completely blocked off. This establishment is in direct violation of the Texas Landlord Tenant Act which clearly states they are to provide a safe and healthy living space.

We worked with you to help eliminate the rat problem and immediately called in an exterminator to help. There are so many words I can use to compliment Sierra Ridge. The staff is absolutely amazing and helpful. Never have I had one problem with them. So nice and helpful. I cannot even begin where to start about this complex! It has come a long way since I moved in. So many new additions and features have been added, inside and outside. It's great! The location is even better! Five minutes away from the mall and some of the best restaurants you can go to, easy access to highways and back roads! While living in my apartment, the maintenance has always fulfilled my work orders with 100% satisfaction and very fast! The neighbors are great and friendly! Staff is amazing! Neighborhood is great! I love where I live.
The apartments are great updated nice neighborhood. The staff is very friendly and helpful
I love the layout of my apartment. It has a beautiful fireplace and large closet. Overall its been a great place to live. Only complaint I have is maintenance responds rather slowly. I called about my kitchen sink being clogged, and just about a month before they fixed it. Fortunately, the place is in good shape, so it hasn't been much of an issue. I would recommend living here, and will renew my lease in a few months.
