Property Ratings at Las Palmas Apartments
The worst place I’ve ever lived! First let me say the 2 week move in special is BS and I’ve been told they have nothing to do with this site! So on top of not getting the move in special the date of move in there was a leak in the laundry room that still isn’t fixed 5 months in. The master bath had broken faucet and shower. Took a month to fix those two issues. The breaker box as sparked and had flames yet I still have to call when each fuse goes out. Management are the rudest I’ve experienced they never return calls nor answer emails. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!!!!
Since I've lived here the property has improved, we had the pool re-done and now the community is gated! The new management team as well as the maintenance team has done an excellent job keeping the property looking good and attending to the residents needs. We also have resident events. The manager also participates in the Zumba classes that take place every Wednesday which is free to all residents.
I have lived in several complexes before but this is hands down the best living experience I've ever had. I moved here from out of state in Feb 2017 and was super stressed due to a low credit score, but they were happy to work with me and now I live in my own 2BR 2BTH apartment and have loved it! There have been minor issues (outlined below) but nothing out of the ordinary. Rayshawn handled all of my move-in paperwork and gave me a tour and has been super helpful ever since PROS - Online rent pay - Lots of maintenance & groundskeeping staff - Very clean, quiet, apartments are very sound-proof (except for occasional sounds of cars, kids, etc) - Many different layouts to choose from, each apartment is slightly different (flooring, layout, etc) and VERY spacious - Friendly, organized staff - Package handling in the leasing office, so no one steals your stuff - Pet friendly! CONS - Sometimes the trash compactor overflows and smells - It's a BIG complex, can sometimes be confusing for delivery drivers - The cable connection in my living room is dead, I could have asked for them to rewire it but considering I don't watch TV I wasn't worried about it. I instead put the internet router in my office (2nd bedroom) and have been fine. - The apartment had new floors, paint, etc. when I moved in but some nooks and crannies could have been cleaned more thoroughly. Annoying but not a deal-breaker. - There has been an ongoing roach problem, but if you purchase bait traps and ask maintenance to come spray for you, you can keep them at bay. You just have to be diligent. Overall a wonderful living experience and I hope to live here for several more years to come. :)
I just moved in here 3 days ago and my apartment is infested with roaches. I've seen over 30 today. I found a baby roach in my bed just 20 minutes ago. They are all over the entire apartment. In the living room, the kitchen, the bathrooms, the carpet, the patio. I've seen a roach in every room of this apartment. I am amazed at the condition of this apartment and I will update this review when I see how the leasing office deals with this situation. I am hiring a professional and highly experienced pest control company to come and evaluate, and access the severity of this issue. Until then I highly recommend NOT moving in here. The rent is expensive, and to add a roach infestation into the mix is not a good look. There is also evidence in my apartment that management has known about this problem, and evidence they've attempted to cover it up by cheap, and ineffective means. I will be recording this whole ordeal from start to finish. (through written, and verbal means, I will be taking pictures and videos of the infestation, and I will be speaking to as many tenants concerning this issue in the LAS PALMAS (Norcross) community as possible. I am willing to get written testimonies from any tenant who wants to write one.) This is not okay whatsoever and I won't be standing for it. My lawyer will have copies of all the evidence I've collected should I need to take Las Palmas to court. I will update this post with the estimate and details I receive from the pest control company as well as how I am treated by management as I attempt to rectify this problem. I hope Las PALMAS steps up to the plate to handle this issue. Stay posted.
Although it wasn't what I expected when u moved in and there was some minor problems, the staff at las palmas has been exceptional to my needs and concerns. Rayshawn is amazing!!! He is courteous, helpful and goes above and beyond. My move here was very hard, coming from another state and he made me feel at home and welcomed. Thank you so much Rayshawn you are amazing!!!
Me and my wife moved here about 5 years ago, afraid that since being so close to the city that we were going to feel as if we could hear the traffic noise and not see nature. But, much to our surprise, our apartment is back in the woods, up on the hill and it's like we feel as if we're living in the country. It is so quite and so serene that we just love it. We feel very safe and secure in our environment. Plus, our apartment is absolutely perfect in that it has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. It's actually perfect for our needs. I use the spare bedroom as a computer room/trophy room. We have so much pride in our apartment. My wife, who is physically handicapped, cannot work due to not being able to being on her feet, loves to stay home, while I go to work, and keep house. She also has numerous medical conditions to include 3 stents in her heart and being an insulin dependent diabetic. We only survive on my paycheck alone. We both have almost lost all of our teeth. My wife may have about 2 left to where I only have about 4 or 5. We cannot afford to go to the dentist. So we make do. We'll have been happily married, the 10th of August, 2015, for 14 years.
Management is a little unstable, they do good job but sometimes too slow, unprotected mail center is a big problem
where do I begin... Trash is always over filled, messy, dirty, and stinks up the neighborhood. Management doesn't care about their residence. Gym look is always messed up and is hard to open (I always have to ask for management assistance to open). I like the spacious apartments and that they all have balconies but the management always tries to up the rent even through we have always paid on time and lived here for more then 3 years.
I have viewed many apartment communities throughout the Atlanta metro area and Las Palmas really impressed me. The community is quiet, beautifully landscaped, and seems like a nature retreat in the middle of the city! The club house staff were very upbeat, informative, and answered all questions directly! That's important to me! I hate when apartment staff can't answer any of my questions and/ or blatantly lie! Overall, Las Palmas is a gorgeous community with friendly staff! I'm glad I found this hidden oasis.
