About 10 miles northeast of downtown San Diego, Allied Gardens feels like a laid-back suburban paradise, but underneath that relaxing exterior lies a neighborhood with plenty of exciting places to see. Living in one of the many rentals along Mission Gorge Road puts you right in the thick of things. You can walk or drive to San Diego Brewing company for a bite and a brew, grab a steak at Longhorn Bar and Grill, or spend an evening shooting some pool at the Library.
Take advantage of that amazing San Diego weather by visiting Allied Gardens Park and Recreation Center during the daytime. Both the park and the rec center hold frequent events, including the always-entertaining Summer Movies in the Park. Book lovers in this neighborhood appreciate the rec center's BookNook program, which lets them pick a new book and leave one of their own.

Property Ratings at Latitude Apartments at Mission Valley
This place does not care about its tenants, just money! They have raised our rent and are renting apartments nearly double what the previous owner charged for a worse product. We have constant leaks, cockroaches, and an overall lack of safety on this property. Obviously, the word got out that this place is awful because half the complex is empty, and people always leave. Really sad that this is how this beautiful, charming complex turned into completely overpriced garbage with awful management. They are lucky that I am not going to go into detail about some of the awful things they have done to us residents since they took over.
I have lived here for a couple of months and this place is the worse place to live. There’s so many things wrong with it I don’t know where to start. First is that we don’t get mail. They closed it months so say goodbye to whatever mail your suppose to get. The gate doesn’t work so homeless people come in and out and its really making me feel unsafe. There are cockroaches everywhere. I talked to them about getting pest control but they did not show up twice. Finally they came once and I got one spray but they are still everywhere. They really only care about money and there’s women that works in the office that super rude. Do yourself a favor and run from this place!
Called and scheduled a tour, they then sent email to confirm my tour. Showed up and girl in the office said they have no idea what Im talking about when I just called them and hour before. Waste of my time.
ever since the new management started this place has gone downhill. they have been giving us new rules, new contracts, raising our rent, making utilites an additional cost since the second they took over. super upset about this place. it was such a hidden gem in san diego.
I recently toured and moved into an apartment here. My apartment is completely upgraded with modern flooring and brand new appliances. I was skeptical about visiting here after reading some of the reviews, but have had nothing but a wonderful experience here. I had small maintenance issues with my shower and had them immediately taken care of after calling the office. The manager was very nice and helpful when I was touring as well. She addressed my concerned regarding other reviews and made me feel comfortable moving in here. So far, I have not had any complaints and have had any issues addressed very quickly. It’s been about a month and a half now and really have enjoyed my stay here.
My daughter and I moved to Mission Knolls 2 years ago from a recommendation by a close friend. I previously lived in Carmel Valley relocated after getting a job in Downtown San Diego. So far my experience here has been very peaceful. I have had no problems in my apartment and we feel very safe living here. Although I haven't spent much time here during the day the complex is very well maintained and is kept very clean. I've reached out to management a few times regarding small things like getting a new mailbox key and the manager was very receptive to my request. I am very pleased with living here, especially because I am getting married soon and we are trying to save up for a house.

Thank you for your kind comment. We hope you continue to enjoy living here.
I have lived at this complex for about 2 years now with my fiance and its been fantastic. This was our first apartment after college and has been a very peaceful complex to start our lives together. the manager is very helpful and accommodating. everything over the past few years has been great. they are fairly priced, very big apartments that allow us to save up for our wedding and in the future a house. The community appears to be young couples and some elderly, so the it is a very quiet complex. It is great to wake up to the beautiful pool everyday. The property has been maintained wonderfully while we have been here.

Thank you for your wonderful review. We loved having you as a tenant.
I absolutely loved living at Mission Knolls! The apartments are very spacious compared to other apartments in the area. The complex is well kept and very clean. I personally had great experiences with the management, and maintenance request were always answered right away. They were very attentive! The staff working at this complex were all extremely nice! The people living in the other apartments are very nice. The whole atmosphere of the complex is very pleasant. The surrounding neighborhood is very safe! I felt very safe living at Mission Knolls, and was very happy there.

Thank you for your wonderful comments. We are so glad you had a wonderful experience here.
I read the other two reviews for this complex and was a little confused because I have been a resident here at Mission Knolls for over 7 years and have never had a problem. There have been several managers since I have been here and they have been extremely responsive and helpful with any problems that have arisen. The apartments are very spacious and clean when moving in and maintenance requests are always answered and usually fixed same day. The pool and landscaping around the property are gorgeous. The apartments are much cheaper than surrounding properties and have much bigger apartments and bedrooms. Although other properties have gyms, tennis courts, and lounges tenants pay over 300 dollars more a month for those ammenities. I have looked at other apartments around the county to move closer to my job and have not found anything of comparable value. Joining a gym costs a mere 30 dollars a month and easily solves that. I have lived at other complexes over the years where gyms were on the property, but the machines were never working or always in use. There was a complaint about parking here and it is absolutely not a problem. Each apartment gets on parking space and that is told upon move in and not a surprise. Remember: Parking is a privilege, not a right, just like owning a car. This management company truly cares about each of tenants and is very reasonable if you come upon hard times. They seem to be a close knit family-like run business where all requests are done by pen and paper. If you have a problem reach out to them and I have found that they have been more than willing to help me.

Thank you very much for your kind review. It has been a pleasure having you as a tenant.
It takes weeks for anything to get repaired or replaced. And management is extremely unresponsive whenever something does need fixing. The repair man is awful. Pokes some tools at things and tells you it's fixed when it's clearly still broken. He's done that to me on 3 different occasions while I was in my own home watching him "fix" it. And management doesn't do a thing about it. Also parking is a joke. Only one space per unit and no guest parking. Street parking sucks at least 75% of the time. Only positive is the units are very spacious but the lack of amenities and absolutely laughable management has me counting down the days until my lease is up.
Do not move here! I gave $500 security deposit for an apartment that I went and viewed. They changed apartments without my knowledge a week before I was suppose to move in. I got upset because I had never seen this apartment before and asked for security deposit back if I could not have the one I was promised. They refused to give me the security deposit back because they said they used it to replace the sink in the new apartment (the one I didn't ask for). I never signed any contract with them for either apartment. When I asked why they changed the apartment they said because I had a newborn and they didn't want the newborns crying to interrupt the other residents. I sued them for my security deposit back and I won however the owners still refuse to pay me back my security deposit....
