Worst apartment I’ve ever lived at. Staff is horrible!!! Bugs everywhere even after pest control comes!! Don’t waste your money!!!
We wanted to move here. applied, waited a week, they said we got approved, no other response. We called numerous times, and each time “we’ll send you an email” “we’ll contact you” “tomorrow” They never did got back with us. Never. Our application hasn’t been approved or denied. They just took my money. I don’t know if the staff is new, they don’t care, or they are just that bad.

I have lived here for a few years. They have had problems in the past getting fully staffed but always try their best to correct any problems that I have had. Now, they get work orders done within a few days, office staff is friendly and helpful, grounds are always picked up nicely and I am happy to live here.

The people in the rent office do not care about your home! I moved in Oct 1st & had lumps in my floor asked if they could be fixed. It is now Jan 16th and they have yet to be fixed. I asked Chloe when would they be fixing my floors along with my showers because there was water damage she asked me “is it harming anyone”. These people have no sense of urgency for your wellbeing! If you want to pay other people’s bill this is the place for you. They will tell you that you have to pay for water every month but don’t tell you that they split the bill based upon each unit’s water usage. I have been paying over $100+ in water bills and I’m the only one that lives in my apartment. The breezeway has a terrible smell! They half do everything when it comes to fixing things in your apartment! The property should be shut down honestly ! You can never get in touch with the property manager or corporate office!

Please understand me when I say this is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. I don’t even know where to begin. To start, when we first moved in half of the things in the apartment were broken. One of the ceiling fans was almost completely off, which was a huge hazard. We couldn’t even stay in that room until they fixed it, which took forever! The maintenance was terrible, and that doesn’t even fully describe it. Our sink flooded all the time, and there was mold under it! The staff did not even care when I reported this, and left the problem for months. There are roaches!!! And you can forget about pest control because it’s nonexistent. Our a/c did not work for half of summer, literally a safety hazard which we reported several times. The worst part is that our apartment flooded one night & we called the emergency maintenance, but he NEVER CAME! Our downstairs neighbors had to stop the flood for us bc it was leaking down into their apartment! The carpet was completely ruined & stunk. The water would not even turn back on, so were displaced & unable to live there anymore. The staff LIED & said that we would be reimbursed for the situation, or at least receive our deposit back. We got neither. If you move here, get ready for hell, actually worse.

This apartment will leave you feeling sick. I have been without air conditioning for more than 2 months. These apartments are infested with brown recluse spiders and roaches. I have tried to call about air and all my basic needs. They do not care.

Although the updates are beautiful, the apartments are not maintained. Management is non responsive to work orders. Amenities are not available as they should. So do not consider the amenities or updates when renting unless you expect to not use them or maintain your apartment. Manager is not professional. I think a change in management could help to resolve the issues with amenities and maintenance.

Office avoids the residents when there is problems with the office!!! They ant get the trash issues under control!!! The complex doesn’t want to fix any issues you have or even want to work with you on finding a solution!! The pools we pay for are never open!!! Apartment was halfway remodeled and is falling apart!

New management took over in May, and everything has changed! The community is brighter and better taken care of. The renovations are gorgeous. The roaches have gotten SO MUCH BETTER!!! Apartments will always have their issues, but we are loving the positive change.

I have lived in Park at Galleria since Feb 2019, just changed to Latitude at Riverchase. My shower has been clogged since i moved in and made NUMEROUS service orders about this issue, with each time being told the problem was fixed, don't even think they did anything. Latitude took over about a week ago, made 1 service order about my shower and BAM it is finally fixed. Also, Saturday's and Sunday's were a bad day for trash being stacked all over the place around the dumpster prior to Latitudes arrival and this weekend the trash was actually picked up. I am excited to see all the changes that Latitude is going to bring to our apartment complex. Thank you!!

This place is full of Gangbangers. There are Blood, Crips, and Gangster disciples walking around everywhere. They are from the ages of twelve through their mid-thirties. I find it ridiculous! There are constant carjackings, shootings, and robberies. Grown men walking around with guns in their pockets around the children. People are fighting constantly and plenty of the gang members hang out at night. the different buildings are full of different gang members.

I moved in on June 2nd 2018.....Truly the care time and attention that I was given was 5stars and I mean five STARS...I was moving from a house to a 3 bdrm THE HERMES...Blake along with Christy truly calmed all of my fears they walked me through the complete process from beginning to move in.. I thought that my furniture wouldn't fit but, it does with room to spare ......Truly this is home for me and my children and I thank the Lord for this place and also Blake and Christy.......5 STARS ALL THE WAY...I HAVE A PEACE OF MIND!!!!

I have lived here for a few years and needless to say this apartment complex has gone down over the last three years. They have a major problem with roaches and only want to spray the building and inside your apartment once a year. I have mold in the bathrooms inside my apartment and all they did was spray something over it. I did not get new carpet when I moved in and it looks absolutely horrible now. They said in order to get new carpet my family would have to moved into a new apartment until it is done and also have to pay $200. I have never known anyone to have to move out of their house in order to get new carpet. Maintenance doesn’t clean the building and when something needs to be fixed they half do the job and have to come back a week later. When it’s time to renew your lease they do not offer anything or give a upgrade to your apartment. We have been here 8 years and to receive nothing is awful. We’re moving into a house in March and cannot wait. I contacted Fox 6 and the health department this week. I haven’t heard back from Fox 6 , but the health department will be here on Tuesday to inspect my apartment and the building. I hope they shut them down. They cannot renovate my apartment, but have renovated the leasing office 3 times in four years.

I have lived here for several years and the staff here before Blake came was awful. The management was inconsiderate. The office staff was horrible. Blake and his staff came and turned everything around. I love Jennifer the assistant manager and her husband who is an officer with HPD also makes sure everything goes smoothly. They are the reason I stayed. I am so proud of the work and job they have done to rebuild these apts. It has come a long way from the previous management and staff. Great Job!!!!!!!!

I was completely freaked out, by these negative reviews; when I read them in between putting my deposit down, and my move in. These are OLD reviews! The management/staff changed hands at the beginning of 2017. I had an issue, as I was moving in, on a Saturday. The manager was off that day, and off premises. He showed up anyway! The office staff, as well as the grounds staff are extremely friendly, and HELPFUL! The manager, Blake is a rockstar! He CARES about this place! My neighbors who have been here for years are singing his praises. I could tell immediately he was serious about turning things around. My biggest fear about going from a house to an apartment was roaches! You're only as clean as your nastiest neighbor! There is a serious roach problem here, that is true. However, Blake hired a new pest control team, and they come out every week. I've been here about a month. I have seen decrease in roach activity every week. I have confidence it will be eradicated in my apartment, soon. Any minor problem that has come up has been addressed. Shout out to Rod for cleaning the garbage on the grounds, everyday, from a few bad apples Shout out to Michael for promptly reporting and taking care of minor maintenance issues. Shout out to Jay, the bug man, for working with us to become bug free. The new pest control team is good. Mostly it's Blake, who leads this team. He cares, and positive changes are happening. I love living here. Aside from a few bad apples, it's very peaceful. Also, as far as the "gang activity", ?? There are no "gangs". What there is is three Hoover cops living onsite; one of whom patrols daily.

I have been here for 2 years. I got a letter on my door about renewing my lease today. Every time I get one of those letters the rent is always going up. The building is getting older not newer! Besides that the lights don't work in the gym. I walk into my building and it smells like weed and someone is always letting their dog use the bathroom on the sidewalk. Oh and they are constantly changing management.

I am currently a resident at this complex ..living here has been an absolute nightmare !! More roaches live here than people I am currently dealing with a roach infestation problem that has yet to be resolved by management I have also contacted the corporate office "dayrise management" with no response it's safe to say that these people do not care about the tenants , health codes nor living conditions of these units ! The hallways in my building smell awful and sickening there are dead roaches lining the hallways and when I leave my apartment roaches fall from the door frame onto me and any guest that are entering the unit. I have reported issues to management as well as staff members and they sent pest control once . I've purchased 100s of dollars worth of roach spray , bait , gel and other chemicals to contain the problem with no results . One staff member named ALLISON is utterly rude and never assist with any issues she blames the property manager and tells you that he is the only one that can help you with any problems ! I will be reporting this complex to the health department as well as other outside resources !!!!!

I love shopping for an apartment with Shunoah the Leasing Staff was excellent. It was very unique and very honest on what I was getting. Truly been happy with my 3 bedrooms apartment, and I read a lot of bad comments but when I got to the PARK everything was different than the comments make it out to be . I'm happy with it and recommend anybody looking for an apartment come here.

I moved in a few months ago and so far so good! I have great neighbors. The office staff is pretty nice and maintenance takes care of issues in a timely manner. I am ready to enjoy their outdoor grills this summer.

These apartments are the projects of Hoover. Depending on who you live around the residents here can be pretty nasty. I do not want anyone to come visit because the residents in the building I reside in are filthy and nasty. I have called management numerous times to complain about how the building is kept and they can care less. The property manager told me that the people just don't care...well make them care by holding them responsible for trashing the building. I am about to terminate my lease and move far away from this place. It's the slums of all slums in the state of Alabama. I would not recommend anyone waste your time inquiring about these apartments.

I moved in these apartments 5months ago and i"m ready to move they don't keep the place clean roaches are horrible,just nasty the staff change constantly they do not fix stuff that brake down right away they make you wait maintenance come when they are ready my air went out had to suffer for a week. the grounds are not kept up if I can move I will go,prices are definitely outrageous for this dump.

The worst apartment I've ever lived in! I relocated to Birmingham for my job and had to make a hasty decision in choosing an apartment. After searching for weeks it decided to pursue park at galleria based in their prices and pictures. I filled out the app online and was guaranteed a renovated 1 bed 1 bath but when I called to check the status of my app they leased the apartment that was promised to me to someone else so I had to settle for a 2 bedroom that was not renovated for the same price. Needless to say, I should have seen the red flags but I was pressed for time so I accepted it. In the first month my stove broke, the ac broke, the faucet in the bathroom literally dripped water when you turned it on, and the shower had permanent stains in the tub, it's infested with roaches, the maintenance guys take forever to fix things. Can't wait until my lease is up.

I've lived here for 2 years and I've had several maintenance problems due to how old the building is. New staff is nice but sometimes slow getting things done. Pest issues but you really get what you pay for.
I would not recommend the Park at the Galleria to anyone. I have been a resident for as little as two months and already have had issues with the A/C unit, water pressure, bugs, faulty balcony structure etc. Definitely wish I would have done my research and went through a great website like Apartments.com.

These apartments aren't too bad. The neighbors are quiet enough and the area seems safe enough. Only problem I have is the maintenance. Water leaks from the ceiling and has damaged the sheetrock. We have complained on various occasions about the issue, but it has not yet been resolved. We also got a bit of a bug problem, but it's nothing too bad thankfully.

I love this place. The staff is nice and very pleasant unlike the previous people. They are starting renovations in my home and I can not wait. Hard wood floors black appliances and all that! You are missing out if you don't move here.

The Park at Galleria is awesome! There are so many things I like about it living here: • The location is great. What's even better is that once you turn into the complex, it feels like a little neighborhood and you don't here a lot of the traffic. • It doesn't "feel" like you're in an apartment. There's not the feeling like each room is boxed in. Lots of windows! I've lived in a 2 bedroom and then a 3 bedroom unit and both of them have a lot of natural light. There's a good flow with the layout of the living/dining/kitchen areas, which makes it feel more like a home than an apartment. We started off in a 2 bedroom and moved into a 3 bedroom when I was pregnant with our 2nd child. A friend came to bring supper one night after the baby was born and she was so impressed by the space. She said "I can't believe you have all of THIS and you're just in apartment off of Lorna... When you get in here [the apartment], you forget where you are!" • The playground is a big plus, our oldest spends a lot of time there. • The management company is great and all of the office staff are fantastic!! Everyone is friendly and very helpful! It's a great place to live!
