I absolutely adore living at Laurel 42 and having Jose as my property manager, along with all of the staff including Roberto! I feel extremely safe in the building and in my apartment. Delivery companies always comment on the security of the building. Due to Roberto, the garbage area, elevators, stairwells are always clean and smell good. Jose's door is always open to ask a question or inquiry. The garage is just an added bonus to this fabulous property. Now that it's so beautiful outside, I couldn't enjoy my beautiful deck more! I can leave my back door open all day, which allows my cat to never want me to move again!!! I doubt if I ever will.
Being in between all the great things in NE and SE Portland makes it a great place to live.
Very great apartment complex close to everything you need. Great staff.
Beyond thankful for what the Laurel42 community has to offer. They provide nothing but excelent service.
I was nervous to live here as Im use to my old place and my old neighbors but this place has brought me a sense of peace and Im loving it. The staff Samantha and Jose are top tier they are so helpful, fast and just made me feel welcome since day 1. The building is clean and quiet. The neighbors Ive met so far are so friendly and have the cutest little fur babies. My kids are thrilled and so happy to be here. Thank you Jose and Samantha

I'm so happy with my experience so far at Laurel42. I just moved in 2 days ago. I'm shocked at how beautiful and well maintained everything is. The appliances are large and in perfect condition. I can't even find anything broken or damaged to note on my move in inspection. Everyone I've met, Samantha, Jose and Steven have been so helpful and really made the application and move in process seamless. I've been bragging to my friends and family what a great place I got especially for the value.

Laurel42 is a relatively new building on the edge of the Hollywood district. It is directly across the street from a grocery store and within walking distance of some amazing restaurants including a food cart pod. The building is well maintained, offers indoor parking, and is very safe. The rent is fair for the amenities and location.

I have not been very satisfied as a resident. Maintenance always initially responds quickly, but if I miss the call, it is very difficult to reach him as I almost always get the voicemail and no response for several hours or even overnight. I have reached out via email and phone at least 4 times to get something replaced and have never heard back despite multiple attempts. I even talked to the property manager on the elevator and he still didn't address or call me back.
I have lived here for almost a year and really enjoyed it. The building is really quiet and I can never hear my neighbors next door. I can sometimes hear footsteps above me, but its really not bad. The open floor plan wasn’t for me personally, but I still think this is a fantastic building to live in. There is a guy here daily cleaning and maintaining the building who does a SUPERB job. He works so hard. Sometimes residents don’t read the signs and won’t break down the boxes correctly in the garbage room, but they usually clean that up really quick. The car matrix has never damaged my car and I’ve only seen it broke down once in a year. You just have to wait about 3 minutes on it. I will miss this place!

I have lived in this building since October and since then their parking matrix has done over $3000 worth of damage to my vehicle on 3 separate occasions. The elevator and matrix are down on nearly a weekly basis. The only thing property management has to say is “it’s on the tenants” If you’re looking for a an apartment in Portland stay far away from this one. I Will not be renewing my lease even if my rent was free.
