National publications constantly place Pittsburgh near the top of the list for most livable cities in America, and it’s easy to see why. The city has a rich history as an industrial and economic hub, which led to the construction of many grand buildings and public sculptures which still stand today. Downtown in particular is rich with beautifully preserved buildings and lush public parks dating back well over a century, giving the entire community a timeless atmosphere.
Pittsburgh is split into three sections by the rivers passing through the city: Downtown (a.k.a. “The Golden Triangle), the North Side, and the South Side. Each has its fair share of attractions and landmarks: the North Side is home to Acrisure Stadium and PNC Park (making it a perfect area for sports fans), the South Side features big, beautiful greenways and refurbished steel mills, and Downtown is where you’ll find the most variety in dining, nightlife, and entertainment.

Property Ratings at Laurel Village Apartments
Management is awful. Dismissive when they just don’t want to deal with you. They are not accommodating, things did not work but they refused to fix. Although it was apart of the lease they had to. Floods frequently but they never cleaned them up correctly, so be careful of mold. Not very safe, a shooting occurred there on the steps but never notified. Entered apartment without leaving notice they did.

We are very sorry that you feel this way. We do our best to ensure that all of our resident's work orders are completed in a timely and accurate manner. In the event of a water leak, which is not preventable, we follow the correct protocol to ensure that the apartment is repaired correctly. I am unsure as to which apartment you resided in so I cannot address the specifics of the maintenance issues that you are referring to. Again, we do apologize that you feel unhappy with your time here
I currently live here and I love it! Everyone is so friendly. They keep the place very clean. Apartments are very spacious. Everything you need is within 15 minutes. It’s awesome!

Thank you so much for the review. Please stop by if there's anything we can do to make your stay here even more enjoyable!
We stayed in Laurel Village Apts for almost two years before we moved due to job relocation. It is the so far best apt we lived in the USA. First of all, the building is very decorative, the lobby, the lawn and etc. They maintain the place very often. The maintenance person, Mike is a very nice guy and would come to help even if it's a weekend. The managers specially Chris (current manager) is very friendly. He would help you to his best any time you approach to him. The Apt itself is very nice. We never had any major issue with it, even if the smaller issues are fixed pretty fast. The place is also very close to the Monroeville Mall. Other than that, there is a small shopping center with in 2-3 min walks which has Rite Aid, UPMC primary care, Dollar Tree, Applebees, Buffalo Wild Wings and so on. Port Authority bus stops right at the corner of the parking lot. It's a very convenient place to live. We would live again there if we come back to Pittsburgh.

Thank you for the positive words about Laurel Village. We work very hard to ensure everyone has a great impression of our community and, if you ever return to Pittsburgh, look forward to providing you with the perfect place to call home. Best of luck in your new endeavor!
I will not recommend Laurel village apartment to anybody. Property management is money minded and non supportive. I stayed 4 yrs in a apartment and my son put pencil marked on wall and they charge huge amount on me. All windows are not properly sealed during winter air comes in and make bedroom colder always. My friend had other worse experience. If there is negative rating I would rate Negative.

We are very sorry that you feel this way. Management and maintenance work diligently to ensure our residents have a more than favorable experience living at our community. Regarding your specific issue with the charge for the damage to the walls, we are not concerned with normal wear and tear. Unfortunately, our painting contractor had to do additional work / prime the walls. Otherwise, the damage would bleed through the top coat of paint. The amount that we charged, as shown in the painter's invoice that we provided, was exactly the amount the painter billed us. Again, we are very sorry that you feel this way and we will continue to work hard to provide a great place for our residents to call home.
I lived here 2 years and loved it! Clean, well-cared for, and quiet. Very convenient to shopping, gas, grocery store. IT is hard to find a good apartment in Pittsburgh that is affordable. I was lucky to live here!
